ALSO -- Be sure to check out Rafflecopter at the bottom of this post to be able to sign up for this blog stop's GIVEAWAY(s)!! [Blog Tour & Giveaway will run from April 28 - 30, 2015]

My Q&A with Jayne Frost :

Jess : What books did you enjoy reading while growing up?

Jayne : I loved the old Grimm’s Fairytales. My Nana had this set of very old books and I remember reading them when I was so young. They were definitely not the warm and fuzzy Disney fairytales!

Jess : Is "Gone for You" a part of a series? If so, how many books will there be in total?

Jayne : "Gone for You" is part of the 6th Street Bands Music Scene. I have eight books mapped out. But there may be more ;)

Jess : Which of your characters would you most & least like to invite to dinner, from which book and why?

Jayne : I would LOVE to have dinner with Logan. He’s a sexy bad boy with a razor sharp wit. I would hate to share a meal with Abigail Tennison. She is a shallow, vain woman who has no appreciation for her daughter.

Jess : What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write in a novel and why?

Jayne : The hardest scene to write, and possibly my favorite, is the scene at the ballet. It was a pivotal moment (shift) because you got to see how poorly Lily was treated by her parents. Or her mother. And I love Lily, so it was hard. It also gave Cameron the opportunity to step up.

Jess : Please describe Cameron, from "Gone for You," in one to two sentences.

Jayne : Cameron is a carefree, sexy rock star who loves the ladies. He has a heart of gold, which many will never see, and that makes him just the right blend of bad boy and boyfriend.

Jess : Out of all of the secondary characters within "Gone for You," do you have one or two favorites so far? If so, who are they and can you tell us why?

Jayne : Logan is my favorite. Sixth Street started with him. I’m kind of working backward at this point. He is complicated, damaged, and oh so worth the effort. But it will take one special person to bring that out.

Jess : What sparked the idea for "Gone for You?"

Jayne : "Gone for You" was a tiny spark from the original ember. The ember was Logan Cage and the book that will be the pinnacle of the series: "Caged." I wanted to give him a platform in several smaller books. Logan is too much to take all at once. You need to ease into him gradually.

Jess : In regards to "Gone for You," if you could write it all over again, would you change anything about it?

Jayne : Probably the length. It started as a novella. For me THIS is a novella. I tend to be very wordy. Ask my editor. I would probably make it a little longer.

Jess : If "Gone for You" were to be made into a film, who do you see playing the main characters and why?

Jayne : Margot Robbie for Lily. She is classy and beautiful and tough.

For Cameron, it’s tough. I have this picture in my mind of a young Brad Pitt. Thelma and Louise style. A good old country boy, who’s sexy as H@LL.

Jess : How many books have you written? Do you have a favorite?

Jayne : I have written six books. They are all in different stages of editing, and three are part of another series planned for 2016. Right this very minute, I am IN LOVE with "Gone for You."

Jess : Do you have any other projects in the works? If so, can you share a little of your current work with us?

Jayne : I just finished the follow up for "Gone for You," featuring Sean from Caged. Logan’s story is in the back of my mind. Always. And I have another series, not related to rock stars at all, that will be debuting in 2016. That series is a realistic, gritty story.

Jess : Do you have any Mother’s Day plans this year or do you have a favorite Mother’s Day gift that you received and would like to share with us?

Jayne : I am spending the day with my daughter at our home in Vegas. The first Mother’s Day gift I received from my husband, a small gold heart with diamonds, was the best Mother’s Day gift ever. I was twenty-one at the time. It was a big thing.

Jess : What cartoon character best represents your personal philosophy?

Jayne : I love Winnie the Pooh. His philosophy on life is one I would aspire to. Unfortunately, I’m nowhere near that calm.

Jess : If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

Jayne : "The Chick That Writes" OR "Don’t call me a writer, I’m just a chick that writes."

Jess : List 3 books you just recently read and would recommend?

About the Author :

I guess I should start with the basics. The backstory. I was born and raised in California. At this point I'm usually asked what it was like to grow up near the beach, but sadly, I don't know. I grew up in the "other" part of California. Perfect for an aspiring writer, if you ask me. You learn a lot about keeping yourself busy when the nearest house is a mile away...and it belongs to your grandparents.

By the time I went to high school, I started writing romance. Why? Because I met my very own prince charming. I wrote love poems in my journal about the green eyed boy that stole my heart. He promised, the way all storybook hero's do, to sweep me away and take me on a grand adventure. And he did.

We picked up and moved to the Lone Star State, and began the story of us. The best stories begin without a road map or a compass. Veering off course makes the journey so much more interesting.

True to form, just when I thought my life was set, we started the next adventure. I traded in my cowboy boots and followed my green eyed boy to Las Vegas. My home will always be in Texas, but my heart is anywhere that he is.

Writing is what I love. I might stray from the romance every now and then if that is what moves me...but I always come back. Some of the stories don't seem romantic at all. They are gritty stories about flawed characters that find each other and hold on tight. Those are the stories that speak to me. Because that's life. I believe that every story should have a happy ending- even the difficult ones.

"Gone for You"
[6th Street Bands Music Scene Series, Book 1] by Jayne Frost

Author's Book Description :
As the guitarist for the rock band Caged, I know the rules: no relationships. No complications. Leave ‘em smiling when you go, but always go. Besides, it’s not like I’m ever in one place for more than a few days at a time. As the next hottest thing out of Austin, the band and I are riding the wave, and the music is all that matters.

    Until her…

Lily Tennison has “complication” written across her beautiful face. But I can’t get involved. The timing’s all wrong. But she’s under my skin, and I can’t resist her troubled eyes and sweet smile. And I do have a little time to kill. Not much, just a few days in Dallas.

So I’ll scratch the itch and move on, like I always do.

    Simple, right?

Note: You won't need to turn up the heat—Sixth Street Bands Romances have plenty of steamy fun. This story can be read as a stand-alone but is part of the Sixth Street Bands music scene.
