My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars! Longtime friends are thrown into an unexpected romantic relationship in hopes of helping someone else they both care about. While dealing with major close proximity after being apart for a long time they start to find that the person they want to be in a relationship with is with each other. But will their loved ones, rabid fans, and life simply keep them apart for good or will their true wishes finally come true?

Though I’ll freely admit that Ms. McClone’s book description intrigued me into reading this novella, it didn’t take me long to realize that because of some of the characters in this novella I really hesitated in liking this one or not. I can say right off the bat that I HATE/LOATH Claire’s twin sister, Cate, and their parents. I get the reasons that their parents sided with Cate as they were not allowing Claire to tell them her side of the story but how they treated Claire and then their quick reversal after they learned the truth REALLY irked me. THEN there is the phenomenon that is Claire’s twin sister Cate, who all I can really say is crazy. Claire might have been a bit crazy too to agree to everything she did for Cate. However, I completely understand her love for Brady. Though Brady was a bit dim-witted because he thought Cate did everything “out of the goodness of her heart,” he truly was the perfect man for Claire. The ONLY reason I stuck through this whole novella was because of Claire and Brady’s relationship, along with Claire’s silly cat Thor and their animated bodyguards.

Though I struggled through this novella, I would STILL recommend it to those looking for a new adventure from the ‘Four Weddings and a Fiasco’ World and/or looking for a quirky contemporary romance.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! Four years ago, Redgrave (Darius) ran out on his fiancée to elope with a woman he was coerced into marrying. Now after his wife has passed away Redgrave is back in London so he can find a new wife, someone who he'll be able to have a meaningful relationship with, which he wasn't able to get in his first marriage. What Redgrave didn't plan for was falling for the younger sister of his ex-fiancée. Yet, could things finally be working out for Redgrave or will others from his past find a way to set him up for failure again...

An enticing novel from beginning to end, this historical romance keeps you on your toes as you fall in love with Redgrave and his budding relationship to Mary. They are one of those couples who seem to work from the get go, then add in their intense attraction to each other and you have a compelling read I didn't want to put down.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a unique historical romance.

My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. A man (Bo) finds abandoned 9-month-old triplets at a fair and takes them to the doctor to get healthy. The doctor's daughter (Louisa) looks after them while they get well again. During the babies recovery Bo and Louisa form a sweet relationship, but is what they have strong enough to overcome their own fears about themselves?

I wish I could've liked this one more. While I liked this novel and series' setup, I had a hard time with the way the plot wrapped up and how some secondary story lines never completed. I mean, even though I liked that Bo and Louisa got together, I feel the ending just wrapped everything up way to nicely. Especially after all the fuss Louisa made about her life. Then there was the baby-twist that I wish was a more completed plotline. Yet, from what I looked up, it's going to be a theme throughout this series. I just wish I caught on to that “theme” sooner as it might not have bugged me as much as it does now if I had known about it earlier. 😕 😛

Even so, I was enamored with all the characters, which is why I’m having a difficult time with the plotline.

Nevertheless, it’s because of the characters, I still recommend this novel to those looking for a sweet Christian romance.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars! Throughout the past year that Katie has been working for the retired baseball superstar, Clay “The Grinch” Colson, she has admired him from afar. What she didn’t know until recently was that Clay was been admiring her too. When their feelings are brought out into the open they agree to a mutually beneficial affair and it seems to work out well … that is until reality and true feelings come into play. Will Katie have it in her to prove to Clay that what they have together could mean a whole lot more if only they give it a try or will past fears get in their way of a future together?

This is one erotic romance that surprised me with its heartwarming twist while entertained me the whole way through. If you are interested in reading about a budding romance between a young twenty-something who deals with more than one at her age should and an older hunky brooding retired baseball player who is finding out who he is now that his world has changed, than this is the book for you. Especially if you are not put off by the kink (non-taboo) play that brings Clay and Katie together. It was surprisingly sweet, yet it was the spicy “playtime” between them that was truly the best part of this novel.

I recommend it to those looking for a quick adventurous erotic romance.

I will say that Clay's secret was a surprising twist that I didn't see coming, even though Katie did. 🤔

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! Willow, Devin, and Case are all lion shifters who’ve been best friends ever since they were little. However, now that they just finished their senior year of high school everything is changing around them. They’ve always been close but over the past year Devin and Chase have found that they’re mates with one another and even though Willow has feelings for them, which they reciprocate, they are all scared about messing up their relationships. Will fate change for the better for them all or will their chances be taking away from them all by their closed-minded shifter community?

This paranormal ménage romance surprised me with its unexpected twists while keeping my attention because of its sweet main characters. Even though it is a quick read, I was given enough background information that I felt really entertained, and it would be great still if I could read more about them.

I found the relationship that Willow, Devin, and Case was really sweet yet intense in the way that they protected one another. I was really charmed because of their intensity as it helped me want to root for them no matter what got thrown their way. Though they weren’t sure what they all truly meant to one another for most of their novella it was how they care for each other that made me smile and what I appreciated the most. In addition, the epilogue wrapped up everything nicely too.

I recommend this to those who are looking for an intense paranormal ménage romance to read and don’t mind that the characters are in the “New Adult” era of their lives.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! After ten years of being away Nathan (Nate) comes back home to London believing his father has passed away, only to learn the bitter truth that in actuality his older brother is dead while his father still lives, which makes Nathan the new heir. As a way of punishing his father, Nathan plans to marry the tawdriest woman he can find, and with the help of his godmother, he thinks he finds the perfect woman in Maddy (Madelyn). However, though Maddy grew up as an actress the secrets in her own past could ruin the possible future that they’ve carved out for themselves. Will all their plans come crashing down around them or will fate have other plans in store?

This dynamic novel was entertaining from the very beginning! The ways Nathan and Maddy go about trying to exact their revenge was hilarious and I was fascinated with how Maddy slowly seemed to fit perfectly into Nathan’s life and into his family. While the characters were a bit all over the place in their demeanor it was all of their eccentricities that regaled me the whole way through.

Nathan and Maddy were a unique couple, in that though they were virtual strangers, their revenge made them their most trusted allies and that in itself made their rapid relationship to be very believable. I liked their comrade and respect for one another, especially with how that grew into a loving relationship. Though I am still upset with how Nathan handled Maddy’s big revealing, I appreciated how he made his grand gesture at the end of the novel. They were a sweet charismatic couple that I enjoyed reading about!

I recommend this novel to those looking for a compelling historical romance!

My Book Review :

4.5 out of 5 stars!! During an “inconspicuous” visit to a local burger joint, Christian, the bassist for the famous rock band Caged, meets Melody (Mel). About the Author :

So…Who is Jayne?

As a writer you would think that would be a simple question…but it’s not. I spend so much time living in my characters heads, listening to their voices, that sometimes I forget about my own.

I guess I should start with the basics: the backstory. I was born and raised in California. At this point, I’m usually asked what it was like to grow up near the beach, but sadly, I don’t know. I grew up in the “other” part of California. Perfect for an aspiring writer, if you ask me. You learn a lot about keeping yourself busy when the nearest house is a mile away…and it belongs to your grandparents.

I spent all my time with my nose in a book, living vicariously through the characters, until I wrote a book of my own. I was ten at the time. It was a scintillating piece that cast the family pet as the protagonist.

By the time I went to high school, I moved on to romance. Why? Because I met my very own prince charming. I wrote love poems in my journal about the green-eyed boy who stole my heart. He promised, the way all storybook heroes do, to sweep me away and take me on a grand adventure. And he did.

We picked up and moved to the Lone Star State and began the story of us. The best stories begin without a road map or a compass. Veering off course makes the journey so much more interesting.

True to form, just when I thought my life was set, we started the next adventure. I traded in my cowboy boots and followed my green-eyed boy to Las Vegas. My home will always be in Texas, but my heart is anywhere that he is. Our beautiful daughter made the journey with us. Our son stayed in Texas, to write his own story.

Somehow, in the midst of the chaos that is our life, I find time to write. Writing is what I love. I might stray from romance every now and then if that is what moves me…but I always come back. Some of the stories don’t seem romantic at all. They are gritty stories about flawed characters that find each other and hold on tight. Those are the stories that speak to me. Because that’s life. I believe that every story should have a happy ending—even the difficult ones.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! For most of Emily's life, she has been on the run trying to escape her past and the cult that was after her. Yet, by chance, she learns that she is the National Alphas' mate, so she now has four men wanting to protect her at all costs. Although when her past, and the cult, finally catch up to her will she be able to put an end to all of her misery and move on with her men or will fate have something more in-store for her instead?

This novel wasn’t what I was expecting, as it surprised me more than once, yet I enjoyed unique situations that this novel throws at Emily. In addition, Emily is a strong presence and character all by herself as she seemingly takes on everything that comes her way while protecting those around her. Add in her growing relationship with Baas, Abe, Sam, and Zack, the reader gets thrown into a world of mystery and intrigue while discovering the passion these four men have for their new mate. I found this suspenseful paranormal romance surprisingly clever in how it is portrayed and very well written.

I recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Blacio and/or looking for an intriguing paranormal ménage romance.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! Lex (Alexander) is a world-class football (soccer) player who’s taking a break in New Orleans so he can “overcome” his playboy reputation in hopes of landing a multi-million dollar corporate sponsorship. What Lex finds instead is, Riley, a woman who pushes all his buttons while revving him up at the same time. She is possibly the one woman for him that is if he can prove himself to her, that staying together is the right thing to do.

I truly liked this novella. It has substance, a great plotline, and meaningful characters. I enjoyed reading about the struggle Lex and Riley go through to come to terms with their feelings for one another. PLUS, it doesn’t hurt that this novella is hot, Hot, HOT! With scenes so erotically steamy that I was sweating at times. They just worked together as a couple, which made the novella that much better.

I recommend this novella for those wanting a quick erotic romance to read.
