"Dreaming of the Wolf" [Werewolf Series, Book 8] by Terry Spear
Book Teaser:
"Oh, yeah, she and her mother have been coming here for years. Skiing, ice skating, hiking, you name it." Then the waitress leaned down lower and said conspiratorially, "She's mixed up with some bad types, and nobody but nobody wants to associate with them--or her. Let's just say it can lead to a dead end." She gave a little shrug.
"Bad types?"
The waitress rolled her eyes. "Mob ties." ~ within Chapter 1

"Lord of the Wolfyn" [Royal House of Shadows Series, Book 3] by Jessica Andersen
My Book Summary : The day Dayn's life completely changed will forever be etched into his memory. He had just gotten into an argument with his parents and was blowing off some steam by riding away from the castle, his duties and everything else to do some hunting. Then he got caught up into a vortex and finds out that everything and everyone that he loves back at the castle is being destroyed. While in the vortex, he speaks to his father, who explains to him what happened and what he now has to do. However, his parents have cast a spell on Dayn, and his siblings, to save them and to have them bring vengeance to the one who has done this to their kingdom. The problem, Dayn is told, is that the spell that was cast has gone awry and things that weren't supposed to happen have. Dayn also finds that the spell has changed him in a way he never imagined. Now he has to wait for his guide to come to him so he can start his quest to save his kingdom and reunite with his siblings.
20 years later ....
Reda doesn't know what to do with her life. She was a cop; however, after her partner died in an attempted robbery gone bad, she was suspended for freezing and not helping him out. Now she blames herself. But she also feels the need to look up an old copy of 'Rutakoppchen' (also known as 'Little Red Riding Hood') that she used to own and was given to her by her mother. However, once she gets her hands on the book her life gets thrown upside-down and what she believes to be true, might not be the case anymore.
Reda and Dayn meet. Dayn informs her that she is his guide and now they have to start on their journey in getting him back to his homeland. As the days go by they become closer and form a friendship (with benefits) that neither expected. However, just when their relationship starts to change into something more meaningful, a witch on a rampage and omissions from Dayn try to rip apart the trust that they have for each other. Will their feelings for each other be enough to make them pull through?? Or will they be able to go their separate ways without looking back?
My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This is an enjoyable sequel to "Lord of the Vampires" [Royal House of Shadows Series, Book 1]!! Also, I'm very happy with how things turned out in this book as I love werewolf/shape-shifter type of books.
Reda started out as a character that I thought I might get annoyed with, mostly in the way she seemed to second-guess herself in the beginning, but soon she turned into one that I wanted to cheer for!! I loved hearing about her background and I'm a little disappointed that it kinda gets dropped off in the end without a complete explanation. But all in all I liked what she brought to the book.
Dayn was a fun, hot, mysterious character. When you thought you might know everything about him the author decides on changing your perspective and makes you want to find out more about him!! He is one I couldn't get enough of!
I recommend this to anyone you liked this first book ... this is a wonderful series so check them all out!!
The room was warm and suddenly cheery, and the sight made her throat tighten, because he had done this for her. Even in the heat of things, he had wanted to make her comfortable.
She swallowed past the lump of emotion. "You're a prince."
"I was, once."
Hating the hollowness in his voice, she said, "You will be again. When we---"
He kissed her, cutting her off. ~ within Chapter 8
"Do I have a choice?" Her voice cracked miserably and she didn't care. She was crashing off the wolfsbene, beat-up, brokenhearted, and didn't want to have to do this. There is always a choice, even when there seems not to be.
"Great. A frigging fortune cookie," she said. ~ within Chapter 11

"Wolf Signs" [Granite Lake Wolves, Book 1] by Vivian Arend
My Book Summary : Robyn is disappointed that her brother isn't able to go with them on their annual ski trip to a cabin on Granite Lake. However, just because of that and her being deaf does NOT mean she isn't going, even if that means going alone. She is all packed, ready to go, and she's going ... no matter what!
She just didn't plan on two brothers who planned on getting away for a while themselves, staying at that same cabin.
Keil and TJ were just getting away to relax for a little while before Keil's pack challenge came up. They never expected to run into anyone here, especially not a hot, feisty woman who's deaf and doesn't know she's a full-blooded werewolf. Time to prove it to her and more ...... to bad with the challenge there's a deadline for it all...
My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. A great beginning for this fun and spicy series!! Keil is the definition of possessive alpha male in this story. While I loved reading about Keil & Robyn worked through their "communication issues," turning this story into one I've never read about before. I recommend this book and series for anyone who likes to read a werewolf (slightly erotic) romance.
My Previous Review(s) for this Series :Book 3 | Book 4
“You okay, Keil?” TJ wandered back with a worried expression on his face.
“Just fine. Um, leg cramp. Get the coffee.”
“Yes, master. Right away, master.”
Keil looked at Robyn who smiled at him, a mischievous glint in her eyes that he hadn’t seen the day before.
She mouthed the words back to him, “Leg cramp,” and squeezed. Her face was flushed but she was still smiling, and when she leaned up to kiss him, he thought he must have died and gone to heaven. ~ within Chapter 3
“No way, Keil. Oh man, you know I hate wearing those things. Tell her I don’t have to,” TJ whined.
Robyn held out the devices to the men, her eyebrow rising at the sight of TJ pulling back and hiding his hands behind his back.
“I hate them.”
Robyn’s shrug said she didn’t care what he thought as she stepped up to him, slipped the strap over his neck and fastened the waist belt. She reached up and patted TJ’s pouting cheek while she batted her eyes and gave him an evil grin.
“I feel like a dog with a collar.” ~ within Chapter 5
