"We'll Always Have Summer" [A Summer Novel, Book 3] by Jenny Han
My Book Summary : Two years have passed and during that time Isabel (Belly) and Jeremiah has built a relationship for themselves that they love. They think nothing can bring them down. So, while at a fraternity party celebrating the last few days of college (and Belly's freshman year), Belly hears that Jeremiah has cheated on her. She's sad, hurt, and unsure of where to go from there, except she knows that she needs space.
Once they are able to talk to each other again Jeremiah makes amends with Belly, in a way that she never expected but they are both very excited about. Before their summer hits they make plans and hope their families will support their decisions. Soon, however, they find that what they want and what their parents want for them are two separate things. So, Belly decides to stay at the Cousin's beach house after a huge fight with her mother, she just didn't expect to have Conrad (Jeremiah's older brother) staying there at the same time. But that's okay, their relationship is over but they can still be friends, right?
However, when everything seems to be falling apart and Conrad is the only one around to help her, Belly finds that she now needs, and gets, to confront her feelings for Conrad to be sure what they had is truly over. Especially before things completely change for her ...
My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars. "We'll Always Have Summer" wraps up the admiring story of the young love that Isabel has for the two Fisher boys. The author does a wonderful job of taking on a hard situation, of two brothers wanting the same girl, and putting a sweet and heartwarming spin on it.
I loved how everything turns out for Isabel, Conrad, and Jeremiah!! Especially since she ends up with the boy I liked the best! =0) However, there were plenty of twists in this book that first you were thinking Belly would choose one of them, and then you think she's going to go for the other, and back again. But I did really like how it all ended. Even though I wish there was more about the one she ends up with and her, I also know that whatever the author could have added probably would never have stop me from wanting more. So, oh wells.
I definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good YA love triangle! Also, I recommend it to those of you who enjoy books by Sarah Dessen and/or Elizabeth Scott.
My Previous Review(s) for this Series :Book 1 | Book 2
What would he say when we told him our news? I couldn't begin to guess. When it came to Conrad, I was never sure of anything.
I worried, too, about what my mother would say. Jeremiah wasn't worried, but he so rarely was. He said, "Once they know we're serious, they'll have to get on board, because they won't be able to stop us. We're adults now." ~ within Chapter 13
She had on a light purple dress. She looked grown up. It occurred to me that she had grown up while I wasn't looking, that there was every likelihood she had changed and I didn't know her anymore. But when she stood up to clap, I saw the Band-Aid on her ankle and I recognized her again. ~ within Chapter 20

Have you read "The Iron King" [The Iron Fey Series, Book 1] by Julie Kagawa or any of the books in the Iron Fey Series yet? If not then you better get a move on! It is a wonderful and addicting series, and with the first three books being about Meghan and the fourth (also it's the upcoming book) book being about Ash you'll need to read the first three to really understand what is going to happen, I believe. If you enjoy YA Paranormal novels then I don't think you'll regret reading this series!! =0)

My Book Summary : Sebastian, the Marquess of Dain, (also known as Lucifer, the Devil's son, Beelzebub, Dain, and quite a few more names) likes his life of debauchery. However, he gets a complete surprise when Jessica (Jess) walks into his life with plans to try to save her brother, Bertie, from his debts and get Bertie out of association with Dain. Dain will not be one to be told what to do by a woman, let alone be told by a lady! So, he does everything in his power to hurt Jess, through using her brother, even more.
Jess won't back down though, and every bad move Dain makes she seems to get him back some way or another. Yet when these two hot-tempered people get in too close proximity, the sparks and chemistry between them seem to be combustible, making their irritation with each other turn into a passion that cannot be denied.
When there are people that are willing to do anything to trump up this pair, by doing whatever it takes to put them into a scandal or worse, will they let their pride get in the way of the facts and go after each other or will they be smart about the situations go after the ones at fault instead?
My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! Exciting and smartly written! I was interested in reading this book ever since I saw it listed as one of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Favorite Historical Romances on her website, and I'm very happy to say that I completely agree with her in it being a new fave for me too!! Which is saying a lot, especially since I'm not always one for liking historical romances.
Dain has had a very tough life. Because of his past he is now a man who lets very few (if none) people see his true self, and if anyone or anything stands in his way or in front of what he wants he will blow them away with any means necessary. Plus, he's also smart enough to negotiate with the best of them, so usually everything just happens to work out his way. Jess is a hellion all on her own, at least for the time period, and even if she can't outwit Dain at times, she sure can keep him guessing. It is not hard to like this pair, their schemes (against and with each other), and the hot chemistry that they have together.
I definitely recommend this book if you are a fan of historical romances with characters with a LOT of pride on their side, and/or if you are a fan of Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
Book Teaser(s) :
Bertie approached, and in his playing-field confidential whisper asked, "Any idea what she said, Dain?"
"Yes."
"What was it?"
"Men are ignorant brutes."
"You sure?"
"Quite."
Bertie let out a sigh and turned to the female, who still appeared fascinated with the contents of the display case. "You promised you wouldn't insult my friends, Jess."
"I don't see how I could, when I haven't met any." ~ within Chapter 1
Miss Trent, in short, was not only going to make Lord Dain crawl, but she would have Herriard do the dirty work for her, and have it all done legally, with not a loophole for Dain to wriggle out of.
"There is no animal more invincible than a woman," Aristophanes had said, "nor fire either, nor any wildcat so ruthless."
Ruthless. Vicious. Fiendish.
"Oh, no, you don't," Dain muttered. "Not via go-betweens, you demon spawn." ~ within Chapter 8

My Book Summary : Cordelia (Posey) has always been a 'little thing' throughout her life. When she was younger that was okay, but when she got into high school is when peers would start to rag on her about it, and even though she has always known she was adopted, being so never really helped the situation, so she has always tried to stay in the background. But when she spots Liam during his first day at high school, looking like a bad boy and too cool for the school, her crush on him starts. However, Liam always paid her very little attention, even after he started working for her parents at their German restaurant, but after Posey over hears Liam talking rudely about her to his friends her heart completely brakes.
Now years have passed, Liam is a widower with a teenage daughter and they have moved back to town, and Posey finds herself falling back into a crush (and maybe more) with him. Keeping her distance would be the best idea. However, that seems hard to do, especially when her parents ask him to keep visiting and the usual things that go on when living in a small town. But when Liam starts looking to reciprocate her feelings that should be good, right? Or will Posey's heart get broken all over again?
My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!! Oh My Goodness!!!! This is a wonderful, funny, and sweet novel that I could not get enough of!!! It is by far the best novel I have read of Kristan's, just topping out my old favorite of hers "Too Good To Be True!"
This is the FIRST novel of Kristan's where you get to read from both points-of-view of the main characters, Posey & Liam, and I have got to say I was SOOO Happy about that!! As I love to be able to see what the guy thinks! =0)
Posey is such a great character. You get to read about how timid she was in high school, then how friendly and outgoing she was as an adult.
Liam is great and sounds so hot! I love how you get to read about his memories with his wife and daughter. And how he's now dealing with being a single parent of a pretty teenage daughter. It's all very funny the way he stresses out over the little things, but very endearing as well.
Then we have the great cast of secondary characters from Posey's family (her parents--who are definitely German and proud of it, her brother--who is a surgeon and loves it, her brother-in-law--who is a character in and of himself, her cousin, and her 'Little Sister') to Posey's friends .... they were great and I really appreciated that Kristan wrapped up the secondary plots so nothing was left hanging.
All in all it is a great book, I loved reading it, and I think if you are a fan of Kristan Higgins' books then you will enjoy reading it too!! Or if you like any of Susan Mallery's books you should appreciate this one also!
Posey felt a nudge at her side. "Ma'am? Hands behind your head, please." It was the female cop.
"Wait, wait, wait," Posey said, obeying. "I barely know this guy. His cousin fixed us up. Fun date, don't you think?"
"Are you aware that he stole his grandmother's car and jewelry?" the officer asked.
"No! Jeesh, Steve! That's really low." ~ within Chapter 14
