My Book Review :4 out of 5 stars!! As a "cripple" life for Elizabeth (Lizzie) has always been tough but at least after she married Abraham she felt useful. Now two months after her husband's deadly accident, his younger brother Zachariah (Zack) comes into her life and changes it all around. Yet, even if her heart wants to move on is that the right choice for herself and her stepchildren?
This touching novel deals with the troubles that faces being a stepparent after their loved one has passed on while being in an Amish setting. I appreciated how Ms. Kertz handled this novel and how she portrayed the characters. Very well written and dynamic! Then to be pleasantly surprised with not one romance but two, it just kept putting a smile on my face.
Zack and Lizzie are an enchanting couple. From their subtle banter to how they "feel one another out" in learning to trust them to their growing relationship, I cannot praise their connection enough! Or should I say I wish I could have read more about them.
The other couple is Zack's older sister Esther and her childhood love David. Their secondary story was inevitable once the reader starts reading from Esther's POV and you see how much she missed him. It was as though they were meant to be no matter what. In addition, I enjoyed reading from Esther's POV mostly because it humanized her and you get to understand Zack and his family more.
Overall, I really liked the flow of this novel and got really entertained along the way. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys Amish Christian romances!!

My Book Review :3.5 out of 5 stars! Ever since she was a girl, Kelsey realized that it was better to look after yourself instead of hoping anyone, let alone family, would do it for you. So, when David, a soon-to-be Alpha werewolf, comes into her life wanting to help her out anyway possible she resists from the beginning. Yet, with an undeniable connection between them, Kelsey will soon learn that being alone is no longer an option that is if she can just give up some control…
This novel was a GREAT start to this series! Filled with intrigue and suspense, leaving the readers curious to see what everything will lead to next. However, while I’m excited for this series and I liked all of this novel’s characters, I had a hard time appreciating Kelsey and David’s relationship. Basically, while I realize that Kelsey’s reaction to everything that happens to her in this novel is completely rational I have a hard time liking/enjoying “wishy-washy” characters and I didn’t like how Kelsey reacted after she found out David was a werewolf. Nevertheless, together David and Kelsey’s relationship was very dynamic and interesting to read about. I just wish what happened to get them to that point was laid out a bit better.
I DO recommend this novel and series to those looking for a unique take on werewolves and fantasy/paranormal romances!!

My Book Review :2 out of 5 stars. This was a novel that didn't turn out as I had expected. And while that's fine, the turn of events that happen in this novel were just hard to overcome and appreciate, as I'd have liked too. So, I was able to read this up to Chapter 11 (27% on my Kindle) which is after Jude & Mary got off the mountain and it was her first experience in a hotel. While intriguing at times the plot was too slow for me to stick to it, I kept getting distracted. In addition, I found Jude to be a smart twenty-six year old man yet dumb when it came to his actions and Mary to be a naive nineteen-year-old when it came to anything outside her comfort zone (which was most things).
I was disappointed and wasn’t a fan. I don’t recommend it. But if you’re willing to read about a slightly “racier” take on the Amish world then this might be a book for you.
A five-foot-wide boarded gap marked the entrance to the mine, the base of the wood covered by ferns and long grass.
"Would you like to try and transplant some ferns, Professor?" Mary teased.
Jude knew the joke now. He'd discovered in his research that the type of fern that grew outside the mine was peculiar and native only to the mountain, and the many attempts made by science in the past to transplant and grow the ferns elsewhere had failed. It was only one small, intricate mysteries related to the mountain.
"Nee, thank you." He smiled at her. "You forget that I'm transplanting my own mountain flower and I must put every effort into that venture."
He admired the blush that stained her white cheeks at his obvious compliment. ~ within Chapter 8

My Book Review :5 out of 5 stars!!! After recently being turned into a vampire, Daisy is still trying to come to terms with her life and the new turns it's taken. Yet, the path she was on changes about the instant she sets her eyes on Fergal again. He isn't who he seems, yet he's the one who can set her free while making her feel like her old self too. But when their choices end up working against each other, will they be able to put their trust in one another enough to succeed for both of them or will Fergal's past come get in the way and tear them apart?
This exciting sci-fi paranormal romance will delight you while keeping you in suspense the whole way through! I'm still reeling, a bit, from the massive twists this novel throws your way. It is definitely one book where not everything I guessed came out true since the characters are highly unpredictable, but in the best ways!
Daisy & Fergal’s relationship has such an intensity that you get hooked from the very beginning when she tries to literally to rip out his throat and keep wanting to read more. I really liked how they help each other come into their abilities while coming to terms with who/what they are becoming. They equal each other out enough that I didn’t want their novel to end just so I could keep reading about them. A great pair!
I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for a fast-paced paranormal sci-fi romance! Also, this is one novel that you can read as a standalone or as a part of its series without a problem!
-- On a side note --
In truth, I was kind of hoping that because of Daisy’s biology that she would be a unique vampire and be able to deal with the sunlight. Also, I was surprised with the novel’s ending, not that it wasn’t good, but it didn’t turn out as I had expected.
She had fond memories of Fergal Cain. Even if the bastard hadn't recognized her. They'd once shared a torrid encounter in a very small shuttle. Though she supposed it had been less than a year for her, while it had been over twenty for him. And while he hadn't changed--presumably his not aging had something to do with the treatment he'd taken at Cybercom--she did look a little different than she had back then. Definitely less green. Even so...it was hardly flattering. ~ within Chapter 3

Character's Name : Oliver Perry Character's Age : 18 Character's Appearance : Light-brown, wavy hair. Dark blue eyes. Tall, lean.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Sure. I was born in Portland, Oregon and raised by my grandparents. I’m the lead singer and songwriter for the Heartbreakers, and we’re currently getting ready to release our next studio album called Light Years Away. I started writing and making music with my best friend JJ in junior high, and we formed our first band called Infinity and Beyond freshman year of high school.
What is your favorite article of clothing?
You can’t go wrong with a good beanie, but I never take off my Grandpa’s dog tags—they’re very important to me.
What is your favorite book?
Hands down, "Moonraker" by Ian Fleming. It’s my favorite James Bond story.
What is your favorite food?
Pickle rollups. You can’t judge until you’ve tried one.
Do you have a favorite place to go and/or vacation spot?
I’ve toured all over the world and been to some pretty amazing places, but when I have time off, my favorite place to go is home. Nothing beats spending time with friends and family.
Is there anything that you ever regret for having done? If so, can you tell us about it?
Yeah. It’s still kinda hard for me to talk about, but this past year I turned my back on my bandmates. I was so worried about keeping our record label happy that I didn’t realize how unhappy my best friends were. I hurt my girlfriend, Stella, in the process too, and it took a while to gain everyone’s trust back.
What is one thing you wouldn't be caught dead doing?
Stella loves the The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. She tries to get me to watch it all the time, but yeah—that’s never going to happen.
What is one of the most romantic things you’ve done or have had done to you?
Okay, so Stella is obsessed with this famous photographer called Bianca Bridge. For our first date, I tracked down an art gallery that had an original Bianca Bridge print and took her there to see it. I also love cooking dinner for her, and I’ve written a song for her as well.
Have you ever gone out in public with your shirt on backwards, or your slippers on, and when realizing it, just said screw it?
Well, I’ve gone commando before. Does that count?
Do you have any summer plans that you'd like to share with us?
Mainly I’ll be busy with the rest of the band promoting Light Years Away, but any free time I have will be spent in New York with Stella. She goes to school there at SVA.

A Q&A with a character from "Crushed" :
Welcome to Dish with Maxie. Today, I am interviewing Sol Moreno High student Kristen Noah. I don’t usually invite teenagers onto my show, but Kristen has a juicy secret. Don’t change that channel. You won’t want to miss a second of this.
Maxie : Kristen, is it true you’re a witch? Kristen : I... what? Who told you that? Was it my sister? Was it Brittany? Cause she makes up stories all the time, so you can’t believe anything she says.
Maxie : Okay, let’s talk about your sisters then. Tell us about them. You’re a triplet, right? Kristen : Yes. There are three of us. Brittany is always in trouble, and Cyndi is always trying to fix it.
Maxie : Isn’t it true that Cyndi uses magic to fix things? Aren’t all three of you witches? Kristen : Don’t be silly. There’s no such thing as witches.
Maxie : Not what I heard. In fact, a little bird told me they saw you and Brittany fighting at school. Weird things were happening like stuff flying through the air, shattered windshields in the parking lot, and people popping out of sight. How do you explain that? Kristen : Overactive imaginations.
Maxie : Tell me about your new boyfriend. Zach, is it? Kristen : Zach has a bad reputation, but he’s always there when I need him.
Maxie : Is it true you needed him when a building collapsed on you? Did he teleport you out of there? Kristen :What? Where are you getting this information?
Maxie : Is it true Zach has dark powers and can change into an animal? Kristen : No! (rips off microphone) This interview is over.
Maxie : (with a smile) Are there witches in Sol Moreno? You be the judge.
"Crushed" [The Witch-Game Series, Book 1] by Kasi Blake (aka K. C. Blake)

2 out of 5 stars. Going into her senior year of high school, Kristen is optimistic that this year will be great. However, from the first day things go from okay to terrible…
Her nemesis, Gina, calls her out in front of everyone.
Her sister bets her to “crush” Zach, one of the hottest/scariest boys in school, which leads to another rivalry unintended between her and her sister.
Now she has to deal with a Zach, who isn’t acting like a “crushed guy” should and instead of falling for her, he seems to hate her even more. Except for those rare occasions when he’s charming her…
From that day on life as Kristen knows it will never be the same. But will it be all for the best or will things just keep getting worse?
When Kasi Blake was in the third grade, she found out that a good story could get her out of trouble. My Book Review :4 out of 5 stars! This novel doesn’t really deal with anyone trying to interrupt a mating, it’s about a couple who find each other and in unusual circumstances that leaves Paige (a ferret shifter) shifting during high stress situations. And what is a more high stress situation than Paige finding her mate, Archer (a cougar shifter), while dealing with her demanding mother too…
This fast-paced paranormal erotic romance was soo sweet and fun that I could not get enough of this charming duo! Paige and Archer were a great couple! Archer is supportive of Paige’s “incidents” while Paige was adorable as she grew into her confidence around him. I especially like the way Archer deals with both of their relatives. *hehee*
I recommend this novel to those who are fans of the authors and/or interspecies paranormal romances!

Great. Just…amazing.
One owner of the M & M Mating Agency laughed at her while the other called her cute as if she were a puppy. Well, she wasn’t. She was a wereferret. “Because you’re a caring and loving sister. Archer and I think you were adopted.” Mel replied, full of sincerity.
He, of course, glared at her. “I wasn’t serious about that.”
