"A Shift in the Water" [Elemental Shifter Series, Book 1] by Patricia D. Eddy

Author's Book Description : Can a werewolf lose his humanity?

Alpha wolf Cade can’t remember walking on two legs, talking, or even his own name. His pack gone, trapped in wolf form by an elemental’s spell, he has one chance at freedom: the beautiful, sad woman crying on an Orcas Island beach.

Dying from an unknown illness, Mara is saying goodbye to her favorite vacation spot when she finds a reason to fight off death a little longer—an injured wolf hiding in the trunk of her car. This animal needs her, and she’ll stay alive as long as she can to nurse him back to health.

Mara’s illness worsens, and after she passes out, she wakes with a naked man in her bed. Now she must face facts. Werewolves are real, she has magical abilities, and she just might have found her mate.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! A woman, who's at the brink of dying, because she is unaware of her elemental water powers, rescues a malnourished wolf (or so she thought) which she later finds is a werewolf. Their bond grows quickly. Yet when those from their pasts come after them, will they be able to fight for one another or will they let everything rip them apart?
