"A Happily Ever After of Her Own" [Ever After Series, Book 1] by Nadia Lee (aka Angelle Trieste)

My Book Summary : For as long as Melinda has known she's been able to flit in and out of fairy tales, whenever her imagination gets the best of her. However, this is the first time that she's made it into a fairy tale, this time "Beauty and the Beast," and has been caught by the character's themselves, let alone been charged and accused of vandalism/thievery/possible murder--none of which she actually did--because of Beauty going missing. Now Melinda, with the help of the Beast (Edward), needs to rescue Beauty from the Evil Witch within the next three days or everything in her life will be changed ... forever!

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars!! This sweetly, romantic, lighthearted novella is one that will keep you entertained while you find out another side to the Beast! I really liked the enchantingly humorous banter that Melinda and Edward partake in, as it made me like them even more. Together they seemed to fit each other perfectly, especially after what Edward informs Melinda about his relationship with Beauty.

However, my favorite character was the Evil Witch, she was just so blunt in how she feels about everything that I couldn't help but enjoy her scenes. =0)

My only wish is that this novella had an epilogue so I could find out what happened after Melinda found her happily ever after.

I recommend this novella and series to anyone who enjoys new takes on fairy tale classics!

Book Teaser(s) :
“This is very real, and I’m not going anywhere until you help me find Beauty and my dear aunt.”
“Your aunt?”
“Didn’t you know? The Evil Witch is my aunt.”
“No wonder you’re so charming.”
Edward made a face. “Good Lord no. Don’t confuse me with Charming.”
“Huh?”
“He’s my annoying twin.”
A mild headache began knocking inside Melinda’s temples. “Identical?”
“Technically. But of course I’m the more handsome.” It was just her luck. All the good-looking men she met were either married, gay or in touch with their inner Narcissus. She wanted to bang her head into her pillows—never against the wall because it would hurt too much. “What a huge mistake.”
“Indeed. You should’ve stayed in your world, so my aunt couldn’t have escaped. Your inconsiderate and foolhardy actions have caused all of us many problems.”
“Not that.” She glared at him. “I should never have complained about your looks. Then you would’ve stayed a Beast.” ~ within the chapter titled 'II. In Which Our Heroine Gets an Unwelcome Companion'
Edward said, “I knew she would steal it.”
“Sorry.”
“Now, children. I didn’t steal it. I just took it.”
That had to be some kind of family motto. ~ within the chapter titled 'VIII. In Which the Beast Is Doubly Cursed'
