"A Last Chance Christmas" [Sons of Chance Series, Book 17] by Vicki Lewis Thompson (aka Cory Kenyon)

Author's Book Description : A Christmas kiss from a cowboy…

Ben Radcliffe reckons it'll be a cold day in hell before he considers a serious relationship or family of his own—with good reason. When he delivers a "secret" present to the Last Chance Ranch, however, Ben catches a glimpse of what family could be. And suddenly this lone cowboy finds himself under the mistletoe…planting one heck of a kiss on a stunning woman!

Genealogist and academic Molly Gallagher is all about family. And even if Ben's secrets make him as skittish as a wild mustang, there's nothing Molly loves more than an enigma. Especially a ridiculously sexy one! But the magic of Christmas—and the Last Chance Ranch—might not be enough to wrangle a cowboy who can't trust himself…

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! Molly is visiting her distant cousins about a week before Christmas so she can meet them and put her genealogist skills to use. While visiting Molly meets Ben, a saddle maker, who was invited to join in the celebration and stay with Molly’s relatives as a way to deliver his one-of-a-kind saddle as a birthday present to the family matriarch. They find that their instant connection is electric and plan to spend as much of their visit together as they can. However, that all depends on if Molly’s relatives won’t stand between their brewing relationship.

This intensely creative novel steps up its game when a nerdish petite woman “ropes” a cowboy for herself! I will say this plot was unique because I have never read about a heroine who physically describes me more; Molly is a petitely built brunette who is also genealogist (someone who likes to keep records on her family tree) and likes the holiday season with all the traditions that the holidays include. So, to have Molly also be a genuinely nice character made me want to root for her all the more. Then when Ms. Thompson throws in Ben, who is a hunk with a dark past that he needs to overcome, into the mix I found myself swooning for this novel! I appreciated the steps it took to bring Molly and Ben together for good.

In addition, even though I wish there was an epilogue about Ben & Molly, I do recommend this novel to those looking for a steamy Christmas contemporary romance!

Made the Grade: The Amish Widow's Secret by Cheryl Williford

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 648 KB | Release Date: June 1, 2015 | Publisher: Harlequin : Love Inspired | Obtained: Harlequin.com

"The Amish Widow's Secret" by Cheryl Williford

Author's Book Description : Second Chance at Love

Widow Sarah Nolt never expected another marriage proposal. She hardly knows the handsome Amish man who's come to help with her barn raising. Besides, they're both still mourning the loss of their spouses. But Mose Fischer needs a caretaker for his daughters, and Sarah needs to escape her father's oppressive rule. They agree to a marriage of convenience, but when Sarah moves to Mose's Amish community in Florida, she can't help falling for the strong, kind widower and his little girls. To create a family, they'll have to come to terms with their pasts…and the secret Sarah is unknowingly carrying.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! Sarah is deeply depressed. She blames herself for her husband dying in the barn fire, her cruel father and the community is now pressuring her to sell her farm that would put her back under her father’s roof, and for the past couple of months she has been more sore and overtired than usual lately. Nevertheless, with the community coming together to rebuild her barn, hope comes to her in the form of Mose and his two young daughters.

Mose arrives to help with the barn raising in hopes of helping his best friend’s widow and in turn finds a woman who is in deep need of a helping hand. Being a widow too, he understands the burden Sarah is going through. Overtime they grow close and form a nice friendship. Therefore, when he learns of the extent of Sarah’s troubles he asks her to marry him, and she accepts. Yet what they didn’t know was that Sarah is keeping a secret even she wasn’t aware of, once the truth comes out will it be the final piece of the puzzle to bring their new family together or will it be too much of a burden for them to handle?

This moving tale of two widowers coming together was touching, fascinating, and very sweet. It was uniquely written as it displays the good and bad points of being Amish depending on the community they live in. Yet, I enjoyed it all and got VERY teary eyed when an unexpected revelation comes out too.

The dynamic characters in this novel are what hooked me. They were very revealing and more outspoken then I planned on reading. However, the main characters, Mose and Sarah, are wonderful together. I really liked how they became a united team before they even really knew one another. Mose and Sarah were a great couple!

I do recommend this novel to those looking for a sweet contemporary Amish romance!

He smiled so tenderly Sarah almost broke down. Her lip quivered as she took the rough hand he held out to her. She grasped it, their fingers entwined. Time stopped and Sarah's heart beat a bit faster. "Nothing will come between us." Mose promised. "You'll see." ~ within Chapter 6

[Made in Jersey Series, Book 1] by Tessa Bailey

Author's Book Description :
His inspiration. His torment. And his temptation...

Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She's the fuel for every song he's ever written-each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band is on temporary hiatus, Sarge is determined to prove to Jasmine that this "kid" turned into every inch the man she's always needed...

Men are slim pickings for a single factory girl in Hook, New Jersey...until tall, broad-shouldered hotness walks-or rather storms-into Jasmine's life. Sarge's return shouldn't affect her this way. He's her best friend's much younger kid brother, and the kind of rough, gritty, sexiness Jasmine has no right to taste for herself. Even if he lets her.

About the Author :

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

About the Author :

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Idolizing In: Birmingham Rebels Series, Book 2

- This is an ARC book - Available Formats through Amazon.com: Kindle Edition - File Size: 2181 KB | Expected Release Date: December 1, 2015 | Publisher: Random House Publishing : Loveswept | Obtained: NetGalley

"Calling the Play" [Birmingham Rebels Series, Book 2] by Samantha Kane

Author's Book Description : Samantha Kane's Birmingham Rebels series—perfect for fans of Shayla Black and Lexi Blake—proves that three's never a crowd . . . at least not for the hard-bodied football all-stars who give teamwork a sexy twist.

Quarterback Tyler Oakes plays hard and parties even harder. That reckless lifestyle nearly derailed his career, and now the Birmingham Rebels are Ty's last shot at football immortality. But staying out of trouble can take its toll—especially for a man with a taste for girls and guys. Because curvy, gorgeous Randi McInish is just the kind of trouble he'd like to get into.

A tough-as-nails undercover cop, Randi meets her match in Ty. After they get wrapped up together in a drug bust and a high-speed car chase, Randi's eager to take the notorious bad boy for another wild ride. Turns out Ty already has something in mind. When he introduces her to the Rebels' sexy new quarterback coach, things start heating up a little too fast for Randi.

Brian Mason coached Ty in college, and boy do they have history together. With Brian taking control on the field and in the bedroom, they were an unstoppable team. But Brian, blindsided by love, ran from his feelings for Ty. He won't let Randi make the same mistake. Both men agree they need more than each other. They want a woman they can share. And when they make a pleasure play for Randi, all three are sure to score.

"Calling the Play" is intended for mature audiences.

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! Tyler (Ty) is the Quarterback for the Birmingham Rebels, one of the NFL’s newest franchises, and is still dealing with his past. Yet one night at a grungy bar changes Ty’s plans for good when he meets Randi, an undercover cop, and unintentionally assists her in busting a drug deal. Randi and Ty have a whirlwind “relationship” that changes when Ty’s ex-lover Brian (the one who got away) comes back into Ty’s life. What all three of them soon realize is that choosing between themselves isn’t an option, but making something work between them all might be the best plan yet.

OMG! This novel is hot Hot HOT!!! I LOVED all of the characters from Ty, Randi, and Brian to the rest of Ty’s teammates! They were all quite funny and I adored their playful banter. Yet, this novel wasn’t all about sex, Randi deals with heavy stuff and the way all three work through it made me enjoy it all the more! Together these three make a great team and I’d love to read more about them!

Exciting! Fun. Silly. Erotic. Charming. Sweet! Tough … these are just a few words to describe why I fell in love with this novel and its wonderful characters! I couldn’t get enough!

ALSO, while I have book 1 for this series I still have yet to read it … THEREFORE I can say wholeheartedly that this novel can be read as a standalone!

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for an erotically charged contemporary romance!

Book Teaser(s) :
They needed to get over this 'just football' thing. Because there was no way Randi wasn't going to be the girl filling in that sandwich. The sexual tension between them was thick enough to choke on, but it seemed to her they weren't going to get anywhere without a little divine Randi intervention. So if she had to lead them to each other through her, who was she to argue with that? She was more than a little sad that her time with Ty was going to end sooner than she'd like, but she wasn't going to come between him and Brian, not when they had history and obvious feelings for each other. A girl could dream, but she didn't have to be a bitch about it. She was still on Ty's side, but she could see Brian's side of things, too. Hadn't she thought the same things he'd talked about today, that Ty would move on? Guys like Ty didn't stay with girls like Randi. She guessed that left for guys like Brian, guys who were gorgeous, successful, confident, and sincere. ~ within Chapter 9
