My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars, loved from afar for years Luke knows Kara is the one for him. However, since she has been dating a douchebag for the past five years he is still waiting for the perfect time to make his move. Kara thought her world was perfect until the day that everything crashed around her and basically killed her. Thankfully, Luke is there to help her pick up the pieces of herself and her life, but in doing so his family's secret comes out into the open as he sacrifices everything to save her. Will the sacrifice (on both their parts) be worth it though?

This is a heart-wrenching story about loss and finding the will to move on. While I'll admit that I knew there was going to be tragedy in this novel, I didn't expect the intensity of it as thoroughly as it's displayed in this novel. And in truth after a while, it was quite depressing. I mean I understand Kara is grieving but WOW .... if Luke didn't claim her as he did, I'm not sure she would have had the will to live. It's because of that claim and the way both they (Luke & Kara) go about growing their newfound relationship that makes me question the authenticity of their romance/love/like. Also, it is why I didn't give this novel a higher rating. I read it all in hopes that I'd like the novel more as their relationship progressed but it was as though the cards were too stacked against them so even though they get their supposed HEA I wasn't sold by it.

Nevertheless, because I enjoyed Luke, his family, and their story of how they became werewolves I do recommend this novel to those looking for a unique paranormal NA romance.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! About seven years ago, in a freak accident, Sam and Calder lost their mate, Marie. That tragedy changed them in ways neither could have predicted and made Calder so scared that he left Sam not long after Marie’s death without any notice. Now Calder returns for his younger sister’s wedding and to face the past he has never gotten over. Not long after returning to town, he meets Annika, a lovely baker who is creating his sister’s deserts for the wedding, and finds himself thinking a new future. However, Annika won’t allow herself to take on any more “projects” so she makes Calder and Sam to face their shared past, but what will the future hold for them all when everything is all said and done.

This touching novel deals with meaningful situations and throws in fun twists. I really enjoyed how Annika stuck to her wishes and the plot played out. Filled with longing, hope, and a plenty of lust, I could not get enough of this trio! Sam and Calder are perfect counterparts to one another than when you bring Annika into the mix it was as if she settled them down. I really liked them together. If only the novel was longer. =0)

I do recommend this novel to those who are fans of the series and/or looking for a ménage wolf shifter romance!

-- On a side note --
This was the first novel from this series that I read and found it can be read as a standalone just fine. While I wished the ending wrapped up a bit better, the only thing that threw me off was in the book's description it lists Greta and Annika as best friends while in truth they were more like sorta friends or good acquaintances.

He had to get rid of her quick. He saw how she looked at him. The last thing he needed was to get involved with some tourist looking for a wild time, especially one he couldn’t trust. He was only human, and if they spent the next week alone in the close confines of the Erika Rose, there was a good chance something would happen. He drained the last of his orange juice and made a decision.

“Let’s just call this whole thing off. I’ll return your money, and you can go back to your hotel where you’ll be much more comfortable.”

Annie grabbed his arm, “I didn’t say I wanted to go back.”

He was surprised by her strength and had to pluck her pinching fingers off his bicep. “Look, I need to be with my daughter. I miss her, and we only have a few more weeks before she has to go home. I made a mistake taking this job, so I’m rectifying it.”

Brittany saw the gleam in Grady’s eyes and knew he had something planned. Well, let him try, she thought. Her body had grown strong and quick with all the manual labor she performed, and her mind had never been slow. Just like Annie, Brittany spent as many hours as possible away from her house and the abusive parents who dwelled within its walls. The friends she hung out with were a rowdy bunch whose only interest in life was getting high and having fun.

For the most part, Brittany passed on the highs and focused on the fun. It had been sorely lacking in her life, and she’d been desperate to make up for lost time. Brittany was the jokester of the group. One prank after another was played on her unsuspecting pack of loveable oddballs.

Grady’s ploy to lure her deeper into the warm tropical water was obvious. As a San Diego native, Brittany wasn’t a stranger to surf and sand. A rip current boiled a few feet behind Grady. If she could somehow get him into it, he would be whisked out to sea.

A devious grin formed on her lips. She wanted to keep a poker face, but the smirk wouldn’t go away. Her scheme was probably just as apparent as his, but she didn’t care. Grady wanted to play, and she was prepared to beat him at his own game.

She opened her arms for a hug and Grady stepped willingly into her web. He danced her closer to the churning undercurrent. Brittany threw her head back and laughed. They both had the same thing in mind.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! Ever since Jane was old enough to understand what she had for assets, she strived to become a bluestocking spinster, much to her mother’s dismay. So, at the age of twenty-six, she schemes up an idea for her to attend one of her best friend’s wedding festivities with a pretend chaperone as a way to get some independence and space from her mother’s social call exploits. However, not long after she arrives for the wedding celebration her friends and she agree that what would top off her independence would be a scandal. Yet, once everything is in place it all begins to unravel and the controlled scandal she hoped for turns into something she never dreamed or even hoped for, will it be what she really needs though in the end?

Even though this novel talks about Shakespeare’s "Much Ado About Nothing" (meaning the main plots are probably slightly similar) this novel reminded me more of "Beauty and the Beast" because I can totally see Jane as Belle (especially with her love for libraries), Garrett (Upton) as the Beast, and Isabelle (Mrs. Langford) as the complete set of angry/crazy towns people. *hahaa* With so many twists it kept my eyes glued to the pages, I was pleasantly surprised with this novel. In truth, while I was intrigued by the book’s description, I was nervous as to where the plot would lead (like have drawn out slow points or have the hero make a blunder that not even I could forgive) but this novel did nothing to make me not love it as much as I did! This was the first novel I read from this series and I can already say I want to read more about this quirky crew! To top it off Garrett & Jane were unknowingly soul mates. I mean with so many similarities it’s hard not to believe they were just meant to be and their blunders as they came to realize that was very entertaining.

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for a dynamically written sweet comedic historical romance that has a few sexual moments at the end.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! One witch’s determination to survive is tested when two men drag her into their lives with plans to save her and keep her for good.

This surprising fast-paced drama had more twists than I expected and enough lust-turned-romance to read about to enjoy being on your toes. Gianna (Gia / Georgianna) is scared about letting anyone get close to her for fear that they’ll be put into harms way, so even though she is immediately attracted to Cris (Cristobal) & Cai (Mordecai) when they all first meet she tries her best to keep her feelings for them at bay. However, Cris quickly wears down both Cai & Gianna’s fears by seducing them enough to make them not worry so much. *hahaa* While I enjoyed the seriousness and eroticness of this plot, I found it very quirky too much to my enjoyment. I would love to read more about this entertaining trio.

I do recommend this novel to those looking for a unique paranormal erotic romance!

Okay ... I received this novel through Secret Cravings Publishing in exchange for an honest review in July 2015, which was before they announced they were shutting down. Because of my overgrown TBR list it took me a long while to read/review it and even though this novel isn't around for purchasing at this time I liked it enough that I felt I still needed to tell you all about it. =0)
