My Book Summary : Bronwyn's (Bryn) life changed when she was 4-years-old and a Rabid werewolf slaughtered her family. My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! I have to agree, completely, with Melissa Marr when she said, "Quite simply, the most compelling YA werewolf book out there." And Ms. Marr is soo right! This novel/series takes on a new meaning in and of itself. Even though I've only read the first novel, thus far, but it was so heart-warming, intriguing, and mysterious that I didn't want to put it down even when I had too!
• Bryn is mysterious from what happened to her in her past to who she is to who she becomes ... you really can never be sure what she'll do next, other then knowing she will do whatever she can to make things right.
• Her relationship with her friends, Devon & Lake, had moments of hilarity to a seriousness that comes from years of friendship, and makes you wish you could join in the fun.
• Chase! What can I say .... I loved him!! I hope they are okay and still together in the next book since I really really liked their relationship together!!
• And okay I know that she had a VERY small role in this book but I could not get enough of Lily!! She sounded soooo cute! =0)
I can't wait to read the next novel, "Trial by Fire," and I'm so excited to hear (off of Ms. Barnes website) that there will be a third book in the series that'll be released in June 2012!!
I recommend this to everyone who loves paranormal YA stories!! Those who are fans of Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Gena Showalter, Stephenie Meyer, and who likes werewolf novels should enjoy this novel as much as I did!
