"Trail By Fire" [Raised by Wolves Series, Book 2] by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
My Book Summary : Bryn has been the Alpha of her Cedar Ridge Pack for a while now. Things are going great in day-to-day life, even with still having to go to school. That is until Thanksgiving Day (and during their school break) a weak and broken teenage werewolf gets dropped onto her front porch asking her for help, and bring with him a truck-load full of trouble.
Will she be able to come out of this without a scratch? Or will she finally meet her match one way or another??
My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! This sequel, of "Raised by Wolves," has so many twists and turns that I was shocked by some of the events that occurred! This novel is suspenseful, sad, and endearing. It builds you up for the next installment of this series, expected to be released in June 2012. Which I can NOT wait for it to come out!!
• I'm still very happy about the relationship between Chase & Byrn! However, I was scared, sad, and mad a few times in this novel because of the choices that were made between them .... but I'm happy with how everything turned out.
• I'm very intrigued with who Byrn meets but 'can't quite touch' in her dreams, and how Callum's promise to her will change who she is for the better.
Again ... I recommend this to everyone who loves paranormal YA stories!! Those who are fans of Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Gena Showalter, Stephenie Meyer, and who likes werewolf novels should enjoy this novel as much as I did!

Book Teaser(s) :
Apparently, keeping Archer out of my head was no protection against more mundane mind games. Even though I knew he was trying to get to me, I couldn't help staring at the image on the wall and wondering if he was right.
"Admit it, little Byrn---they've done a real number on you. Not a werewolf, barely human. They took you and they raised you and they used you. You're just a kid, and you never even had a chance."
I wasn't entirely sure how to reply. Blow me and screw you both seemed like strong contenders, but the peanut gallery in my head appeared to be favoring castration. ~ within Chapter 19
