My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars, two years ago Aoife witnessed her date (the same one who had just "given" her a "magical ring") get slayed and than reincarnated ... which in turn sent her into an insane asylum. Now officially out as being "cured," she goes back to the fair where her life changed just too ultimately get thrown back into the "magical" world again. While knowing that she was never insane in the first place is great, dealing with talking demon dog, a brooding dragon shifter, and ending a dragon war might be more than she's able to handle...Though it wasn't quite what I expected, I found this standalone series romance novel to be one hilarious dramedy that seemed never-ending. Constant action from one moment to the next with only one slow moment at the beginning. It was a very enticing read.
Ultimately, Jim made this novel. Yet Aoife's sass, pizzazz, unvulgar commentary, and how she charmed Kostya is what entertained me the most. Aoife and Kostya are one fated pair that seemed to be resistant of the match in the beginning. But it was because of their resistance that made you want to root for their relationship even more, especially since fate is never wrong. 😆 😂
I recommend this novel to those who are fans of Ms. MacAlister, fans of the Aisling Grey Series, and/or those looking for a unique paranormal shifter romance.

"For a man who doesn't want me, you sure end up kissing me a lot," I snapped, casting yet another glance at my feet before looking around the room. There was no fire to be seen, and only the faintest black smudge on the floor were the little pools of flames had been. "But I'm going to let your overbearing arrogance---"

"---and self-centered egotism---"
"I am a wyvern! The welfare of my sept falls on my shoulders."
"---go, because this fire thing just freaks the bejebus out of me. Wait a minute---dragon fire? That's a thing? A real thing?"
"Dragons control their fire, yes," he said, looking impatient.
"I object to that," I said, pointing at his face. "You can't give me that impatient, 'How did you not know that dragons have fire, let alone control it' look when that's so out of the bounds of normalcy that it never even struck me as possible. Well, to be true, the same can be said about dragons, but still! You didn't tell me that the whole fire-breathing dragon thing was real."
"You are an odd woman," he said thoughtfully.
"Odd good, or odd bad?" ~ within Chapter 6
"What's that mean?" I heard myself ask, even though I was blind and bemused.
The hard thing I hit shifted beneath me and groaned. "You don't speak Latin?"
I waited a minute until the wavy blackness that seemed to swim around me faded, and I could see. I rolled off Kostya and glared at him as best I could. "I'm a half-Senegalese, half-Irish woman who was born in America and raised in Sweden. Do you think I speak Latin?"

What was I thinking? : As stated above I was told about this novel being FREE from Ms. Fletcher (the author) and got it through Amazon. I really like the book description and book's cover. Yet, while I didn't love this novel my goal is to always promote the book that I've read, if you don't like my review make sure to check out the extras posted to promote the novel underneath it. So, here we go...

My Book Review : 1 out of 5 stars. A young woman from Rhode Island places an ad for herself as a mail order bride and gets a proposal from a man living in the Montana Territory who wants her to look after his sick daughter. Overtime they form a dear relationship but by then people from their pasts come back and might end up pulling them apart for good...
I LOVED the cover. Yet, I was never a fan of the writing, though the plot held promise. Even though I struggled through it, I was able to read up to 46% reasonably but after that, the writing I couldn't handle anymore and I didn't like the directions the plot was taking me. Therefore, from that point on I skimmed the rest of it, as I was still curious as to what would happen to Betsy.
This novel wasn't for me. So, I don't feel comfortable recommending it. Yet it could be for you if you can overlook the writing style.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars! Elijah was a lifer in the Army, who grew up in foster care, so when a mission turns him up as dead he understands that no one will be out there really missing him. What surprises him is that he awakes to find that the doctors revived him, yet they did so in a way that irrevocably changed him into a bionic man. Though he really doesn’t mind the tests the doctors do on him and likes his living arrangement, for the most part, after a fellow “test subject” befriends him they learn that they are more like prisoners than anything else. Therefore, Elijah escapes the facility and while on the run for his life, he meets Dana forming his first “relationship” in a long time. Yet with him being on the run, they can’t share more than some “fun times” together. So, when their circumstances change will they be able to handle all that comes their way or not?I really wish I had liked this novel more. It was good but I feel it was more of an erotica than a romance. Elijah’s transformation is very interesting to read about, especially about how he dealt with his new abilities. Together Dana and Elijah have a lust-filled relationship that grows into more because of the situations they unwittingly get into. Though it wasn’t what I expected I’m glad I stuck with it as I really enjoyed its ending.
I recommend this to those looking for a Science Fiction-ish “baby daddy” erotica.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! Not long after her mother passed away Olivia learns, from her mother's will, that her birth father is alive and from Lebanon. So, because of the encouragement in the will to meet her father, Olivia flies there and not only meets her father but learns that she is really the illegitimate daughter of a Sheikh. She stays with her "new family" to get to know her father more but while she's there she captures the interest of a would-be handsome suitor who won't take no for an answer. Will he be able to win her over before it's all too late?This quirky novel won me over wholeheartedly because of Olivia. Though she didn't know she was "royalty," she ruled this novel and made sure she stuck to her own code of ethics. Then you throw in Joseph's determination and charm ... and you get a reader who reads the novel in three and a half hours. 😆
I enjoyed the push-and-pull relationship that Olivia has with Joseph. I liked how he won her over even when she never really gave in. I was charmed.
The only way I could have liked this more was if the editing was a little better laid out or the sentence structure didn't seem to repeat itself. In addition, though I really enjoy its ending I wished it was either Olivia or Joseph who came up with how their future was going to go instead of his mother as it felt a bit too "wrapped up" for me.
Nevertheless, I recommend this novel to those looking for an amusing contemporary romance!!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! Even though she grew up in a loving home, being a weresnake with adoptive human parents, Lindi has always felt like she was missing something. Nevertheless, she grows up to develop her natural abilities to help out children suffering from violent crimes to be their councilor. During one of her on the job outings, she meets a little girl who is a shifter too who realizes what Lindi truly is, which brings Lindi to find out that there are more shifters out there than just her. Yet, when she gets more involved in the “shifter world” Lindi realizes that who she is, a weresnake, is something that most shifters fear and feel they should be killed immediately. Instead though Lindi travels a rocky path between learning about her new life, assisting the shifter world to find an actual child killer who has access to her own case files, and falling into an unintentional relationship with someone who is suppose to be her “sworn enemy.” Will she be able to embrace a life she may not be ready for? And if she can, will she be able to “win over” the shifter world in order to stay alive for good or at least long enough to help out?It’s been a long time since I read a novel written entirely in the first person POV, and I liked it. I was enraptured with this novel from the beginning from learning about how Lindi grew up with her adoptive family to how she copes with learning her new skills about her snake-half after finding out about the shifter world. In addition, I enjoyed Lindi’s feistiness as well as how her snake abilities helped her assess life and the people around her.
However, through this multilayered plot what hooked me even more was the brewing relationship between Lindi and Dr. Kade. As their were-animals are sworn enemies, finding that Kade happens to be Lindi biggest ally is intriguing in more ways than one. Then add in their combative attraction seems to set the pages on fire and me wanting to read more about this dynamic duo.
This novel is written in a way that while the biggest plot seems to wrap up by the end, what will happen to Lindi afterwards isn’t completely said. Therefore, I feel that the Shifter Shield Series will follow Lindi quite a bit (and I’m very happy because of that).
I HIGHLY recommend this novel and series to those looking for a unique paranormal shifter romance!!

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! The novel starts around Ian, an Air Force veteran, coming home and meeting Leigh, a young mother that’s getting her life back together, who is also his mate. Yet, this multi-plot novel mostly focuses on its thriller aspect about cleaning up the town of Quickdraw from the thugs and drug dealers who plan to ruin the town. Will Ian be able to help Leigh out with what seems to be everything else falling apart around them?Although this novel captivated me, with its unique characters and fast paced setting, it was not what I was expecting. Moving so fast through the storyline to keep you engaged though slow enough to make you feel like you hadn’t missed anything. This thrilling paranormal novel keeps its characters on their toes as they come together to help one another out while adding a little love into the mix.
I have a thing for bird shifters. Ian made me proud in his portrayal and the intensity of his “mate call” was very hot. Yet, even though when Ian first sees Leigh he recognizes her as his mate, it was the gradual way they went about getting into a relationship that made me really like them as a couple. Add in Betty and Sophia too, you get to see another sides to both Ian and Leigh that made me smile the whole way through this novel!
