3 out of 5 stars. I received this unique standalone read for free during a holiday sale and was intrigued to read it, as I've been into unique "why choose" romance reads lately. I'm glad I enjoyed the novel, but I wish I had liked it more. It has an excellent premise, and I enjoyed the character plotline, but being a prequel-style standalone read, it had too many side-plot issues that I wasn't here for. Nevertheless, the characters were great, and the novel did its job by intriguing me with its world so that I may read its connected series at some point. 5 out of 5 stars! If you're looking for a fresh take on omegaverse romance, this novel is just what you need! Toni thought she had found her pack when she was younger, but had to leave because she couldn't have both her dreams and her pack. Now, years later, she's back to living with her old pack for a few months, so she'll be allowed to divorce them by the end of that time legally. During this period, everyone discovers what they genuinely want in life and who they want to be with long-term.

I absolutely fell in love with this novel. The unexpected twists kept me hooked, and I liked how the plot unveiled the reasons behind the characters' current situations. Plus, I adored how Toni developed feelings for the people in her life within this novel. Some were second-chance romances, and some were just perfect for her. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a plot-driven romance!
