Review: The Surrogate's Secret

The Surrogate's Secret The Surrogate's Secret by Mimi Barbour
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It was a sweet book, but the main characters were idiots when it came to telling the truth to each other and not having the guts to talk to each other about everything.

Review: Bite at First Sight

Bite at First Sight Bite at First Sight by Brooklyn Ann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

60 Second 2024 Book Recommendation for This Novel: https://youtube.com/shorts/zhY8vB-dv9s

"5 out of 5 stars! All of her life Cassandra has strived to become a Doctor. However, because of her being a woman she has had to learn everything she knows on her own, which is why she finds herself in a cemetery with plans on getting some cadavers so she could start studying the human anatomy. What she never expected was to have Don Villar (Rafael/Rafe) find her there and to have him turn out to be anything but human. Now with Cassandra embroiled into the vampire world Rafael has a month to find a way to change her into a vampire too or there will be drastic consequences. But with a rebellion on the horizon will they be able to accomplish everything in time or will it be all for not?

A wonderfully dramatic tale set in a historical paranormal world where you’ll find a sweet love story between a progressive woman and a stubborn scarred man. Now that I think of it this novel reminds me a little bit of “Beauty & the Beast.” This was the first novel that..."

3 out of 5 stars, I liked it enough to continue reading The Last Fey (book 2). I can’t recommend this book bundle/series as I didn’t enjoy its plot. But if you pick it up, I hope you’ll enjoy it more than I did.

DNF. For this bundle read I DNF’d at about 50% within The Last Fey (book 2). I found The Last Year (book 1) an interesting read and was intrigued to see where the plot would go within book 2. However, it was because of the plot that I didn’t enjoy this novel more in book 2. Plus, Avery (the main lead) really had poor decision making and it just kept getting worse as book 2 continued.

3 out of 5 stars for The Last Year (book 1), I liked it enough to continue reading to The Last Fey (book 2). I can’t recommend this book bundle/series as I didn’t enjoy it’s plot. But if you pick it up, I hope you’ll enjoy it more than I did.

Review: The Daymakers

5 out of 5 stars! When I picked up this novel, I wasn’t sure what to expect but by the end of this novel I was enamored with it. However, you should be aware that it has the potential to be very triggering so read the author’s trigger warning list. Yet – if you can read this book without issues – I think you’ll love it as much as I did.
