- This is an ARC book - Available Formats through Amazon.com: Kindle Edition - File Size: 402 KB | Expected Release Date: August 4, 2014 | Publisher: Carina Press | Obtained: NetGalley

"Ménage with the Muse" [Demon Rock Series, Book 3] by Nico Rosso

Author's Book Description : What happens when two very different satyr rock stars find their Muse...and discover it’s the same woman?

Musician Mia Dillon’s having the week of her life. Sharing the stage with the world’s biggest acts at a hedonistic festival is a rush, but she discovers new thrills as she frees her sensual side. A brief flirtation with sexy drummer Wolfgang quickly escalates as they lose themselves in wild music and the desert heat.

And then there’s Ethan. Silent, almost samurai-like, he’s the best guitarist she’s ever seen. He’s broken out of his quiet reserve just for her.

But Wolfgang and Ethan share two secrets. One: they’re demons. Two: they’re starving. The ancient rules of demons have shifted and if they don’t feed soon, the lights will go out for good. Mia’s energy has marked her as The One...for both of them.

Mia’s never had two men—let alone two demons—at once. Nobody’s heard of demons sharing a Muse, either. But the three of them make a sexual melody unlike anything else. Mia’s never felt so alive, but with the enemy growing closer by the minute, it will take everything Wolfgang and Ethan have to keep her that way.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This is an intense novel about a female musician trying to make a name for herself (and her band) when she falls into a world of magic, intrigue, and into the hearts of two demons.

This is the first novel that I've read from this series and while I liked the characters, what captured me the most about this novel was its overall plot and intrigue. I really liked how Ethan, Wolfgang, and Mia built-up their relationship and made the choice that no matter what fate decided for them they were choosing each other because of how they felt for one another. Like I said before it’s a very intense novel, but I enjoyed how sweet and accepting Ethan & Wolfgang was about everything happening to them.

The only issue I had with this novel was it seemed that the momentum during the last 25% of it gets thrown off a bit as I felt like it dragged a bit while I was reading through it.

Nevertheless, I do recommend this novel and series to anyone who likes paranormal erotic romances, especially if you don't mind reading about threesomes.

Book Teaser(s) :
A mortal hadn’t seen this aspect of himself since the time of the Etruscans. He’d expected her to bolt and bang on the metal door below until he could open it for her. Instead she ran toward him.
Mia reached the landing and slowed to cautiously circle him. He maintained the flame in his palm, lighting the animal aspects of himself for her.
He ventured, “This might be the first time a woman’s chased a satyr.” ~ within Chapter 5
He was urged to move, but had to fight through doubt.
“I haven’t...in a long time,” he said.
“How long?” she asked, hooking her fingers in the waistband of his jeans. “You’re a rock guitarist. Two days? A week?”
“Hundred years. More.” The waltz had been a revolution, and very carnal for the time. He expected Wolfgang to laugh and Mia to pull away.
She didn’t, and Wolfgang’s attention was wrapped up in her.
Mia’s fingers curled over the top edge of his jeans, finding the skin of his hip. He stepped forward for more.
She said, “That is a long time.”
“I’ve been concentrating on the music.” And there’d been no inspiration for his body.
“I don’t think much has changed since then.” Her flingers moved along the front of his lower belly.
He put his hand on her hip. It was a test. Could he be bold with her? “Everything changed in the last day.”
This did get a low laugh from Wolfgang, free from malice. It was knowing. ~ within Chapter 9

Feasted On: Stage Dive Series, Book 1

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 449 KB | Release Date: July 1, 2013 | Publisher: Momentum | Obtained: Amazon.com

"Lick" [Stage Dive Series, Book 1] by Kylie Scott

My Book Summary : Evelyn (Ev, Evvie, child bride) should have known that getting drunk in Las Vegas could never have amounted to anything good. However, she never expected her life to change so drastically by waking up the next morning to realize she is now married to David, the lead guitarist a major rock group called Stage Dive, and has no memory of the night before. Denial is her first option once she finds out again, and it seems David agrees once he realizes she doesn't remember their incredible night together and storms out of the hotel room.

Yet, as soon as she gets home her hope to pass it all off as a bad dream is instantly killed when the paparazzi swarm her wanting to know about her new marriage and everything else about their "relationship." Even though it doesn't look like the paparazzi will ever settle down Evelyn plans to just (hopefully) wait them out. That is until David contacts her to see if she wants to go to LA so they can deal with annulling their marriage. Nevertheless, when she gets there her life changes all over again, in a way she never expects!

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! An unexpected beginning, two supposed opposites find that the empowering connection that seems to grow between them might help them make it through anything...

I was enchanted by this novel and did not want to put it down. The only reason I gave it the rating I did was that I just wished there was more. Also, even though I LOVED how Evelyn and David finally worked through everything and got together in the end, again, I just thought it fell a bit short in the last chapter.

Nevertheless, I will state that this novel had a plot that I didn't see coming, in comparison to the typical bad boy rocker hooking up with the "good girl." Plus, it didn't hurt that I loved a majority of the secondary characters, especially Mel!! *hehee* In addition, I thought it was great about David's songs and the one we finally get hear. =0)

I recommend this novel to anyone who likes contemporary romances, especially ones involving HOT bad boy rockers!!

Book Teaser(s) :
“You’ve exceeded all of my expectations. I wanted you to let your hair down a little. Get a life and give mankind another chance. But this is a whole new level of crazy you’ve ascended to. Do you really have a tattoo?”
“Yes.”
“Of his name?”
I sighed and nodded.
“Where, might I enquire?”
I shut my eyes tight. “My left butt cheek.”
Lauren lost it, laughing so hard that tears started streaming down her face.
Perfect. ~ within Chapter 2
“Hi.”
“She says that so well.” Mal turned to me and winked. “So did you really ask the mighty David Ferris for a divorce?”
“She threw up on me when I told her we were married,” my husband reported.
“What?” Mal dissolved into laughter, tears leaking from his eyes. “Are you serious? Fucking hell, that is fantastic. Oh, man, I wish I’d been there.”
I gave David what I hoped to be the meanest look in all of time and space. He stared back, unimpressed.
“It was the floor,” I clarified. “I didn’t throw up on him.”
“That time,” said David.
“Please keep going,” said Mal, laughing harder than ever. “This just gets better and better.”
David didn’t. Thank God.
“Seriously, I fucking love your wife, man. She’s awesome. Can I have her?” ~ within Chapter 6

Made the Grade: Denali Heat Series, Book 1

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 398 KB | Release Date: August 2010 | Publisher: Samhain Publishing

"Arctic Shift" [Denali Heat Series, Book 1] by Lissa Matthews

My Book Summary : Ruby is a city girl and happy to be one, but she gets thrown into the Alaskan wilderness trying to find her sister. What she doesn't know is that her sister has taken up with a local who just happens to be a shifter. But the real reason that Ruby's sister has been MIA is because she knows that if she was after a while Ruby would come looking for her, and in doing so Ruby would meet her new man's brother, named Carson, who happens to feel like Ruby is his mate just like Ruby's sister is his brother's mate. Once the two meet the only thing that Carson has to prove now is his feelings for her, before Ruby decides that she's had enough of nature.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. It was better then I hoped but towards the end of the story it kinda dropped off it's good momentum. So, it made me wish it turned out better. Though I really did like Ruby and Carson as a couple. And I thought that the story of Carson's heritage was very unique and creative aspect that the author came up with.

So if you like hot romances --- CHECK IT OUT!

Book Teaser(s) :
"What did your mom mean by ease up?"
"It's not often new people are brought here and we've had two, first Melanie and now you. It always makes the family a little nervous and extra vigilant until we're sure the newcomers are not here to harm or expose us."
She could understand that and expected they weren't very trusting right up front. To let outsiders in meant a risk. It would be a burden on anyone, knowing they had a secret they could never share. ~ within Chapter 6
