My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars, the night before Abby’s audition to become the opening act to Seconds to Juliet (S2J), she meets Nathan Strong. They have a magical moment in time together and both yearn to start something more but with Abby winning the audition the following morning and S2J’s rule about not dating the other talent, having a relationship doesn’t seem possible. Will they find a way to make everything work out for themselves or will they allow others to run their lives for good?

This whirlwind romance will charm you one moment while get you ramped up in the next. In addition, it gives you excitingly fun updates of all the other S2J members! The updates are for those (like me) who can’t help but want to stay on top of what is going on with them all. Yet, what hooks you for good are Nathan, Abby, and their relationship.

You can instantly tell Nathan & Abby have a connection that runs deep, which is why their relationship and this novel is rushed. However, their relationship is written in a way that is so sweet I felt like saying, “Awwww,” within most of their scenes. It has that sweet romance teen factor that can charm you from the beginning and leaves you wanting more.

I recommend this novel to those who are S2J fans and/or those looking for a fairy-tale style teen romance!!

Pushing open the door on the far right granted a jaw-dropping view framed by French doors and more large windows. Beyond the sand dunes, an offshore breeze stirred dazzling white caps as far as the eye could see. Each wave’s backwash created filaments that floated on restless air currents above tumultuous waters. Waking up to a salty breeze, all cuddled up with Marc Crofton, would star in her dreams for many nights to come.

A massive, ornate iron headboard stood against the far wall. Woodsmen style bedspread and soft, satin sheets covering the king-size bed with storage cabinets underneath provided the perfect stage for exciting nighttime activities. Surely, the occupants rarely slept.

Her life, like the cottage she’d occupied, remained Spartan and utilitarian, unlike this room designed for a man with particular tastes and who could afford the best.

When Pete nudged her forward, she choked on the images flashing through her mind on a continuous, lascivious reel of orgiastic play. Both headboard and footboard contained vertical iron spindles in their grills, perfect for bondage. Would Marc use silken scarves or fur-lined handcuffs?

Several steps in, she stumbled over a plush rug of geometric shapes in neutral shades, thicker than anything she’d ever felt. Ambient light reflecting off the mirror on the tray ceiling dared her to move forward as she envisioned herself bound and at Marc’s mercy.

The darkest fantasies in the farthest reaches of her mind couldn’t conjure such a rich, luxuriant setting tailor-made for any depravity conjured.

How long she stood there, she didn't know. Soft footfalls announced his advance and jarred her mind even if her feet couldn’t budge. It wouldn’t do to have him witness her gawking like a star-struck kid. No wonder he unnerves me. With a few toys added, this would be the perfect stage for a theme room at his club according to her erotic romances.

Refolding the blankets let her size them for the injured shepherd. In hurried motions, she arranged a comfortable bed in the corner.

“Hey, looks good. Thanks. Do you mind bringing in his water bowl?”

His tongue sliding along his bottom lip was captivating yet devastating, like being flogged and discovering you’re a masochist, though she wasn’t. Was she? Despite holding Darius in his arms, the combination of potent virility and standing in what she imagined to be a well-used bedroom stretched her nerves beyond capacity to think clearly.

“S-sure. Be right back.”

The soft tilting of his lips on one side defined her entire focus as she staggered back, turned, and stumbled away. Grateful for the tall ceilings allowing more air to circulate, she plucked at her shirt to fan the heat from her chest. Claustrophobia wasn’t an issue in the great room without Marc’s presence.

Two ceramic bowls sat on either side of the kitchen’s alcove, one blue with black paw prints, and the other green with black paw prints. Each had a chew bone and ball beside it. Maybe those leathers were for horseback riding…

The chew toy and rubber ball slipped from her grasp twice before she’d secured it along with the blue and black dish. Filling the bowl only two-thirds full ensured she wouldn’t spill as she carefully made her way back to his bedroom, probably the last place she should go. Jeez, he owns Ambrosia, for God's sake. What the hell do you think he rides?

“Here we go.” Setting the bowl in front of a groggy Darius, she groaned as a little water sloshed over the sides. She couldn't resist a slow caress of his soft coat after setting his bone and rubber ball beside the bed within easy reach. “I'm so sorry you got hurt, boy.” When she stood and pivoted, Marc loomed over her, his overwhelming presence knocking her off balance both mentally and physically. “I brought his rubber ball.”

“Yes, I see.” He took a small step forward, a few scant inches separating them. Again, his infuriating smile let her know he realized and exploited his arousing effect.

“Y-you don't give them tennis balls. I'm glad…because the felt is extremely abrasive on their teeth. It contains a glue…” How can the room lack oxygen?

“Yes. It does.” A half step.

Only her quickening breaths separated them. His predator’s smile widened.

“I-I've seen canine teeth worn down to nubs before the owners got a clue. They worry and wonder but don't bring the dogs in to figure out what's causing it.”

“Yep, I believe it.” His warm breath fanned across her cheek, minty from the candy he seemed to favor. They shared the same space, the same air, intimate in a way previously unknown.

“I…I'm glad you take good care of your ball, ah, your dogs.”

“I always take care of what's mine.” His gaze could command the very devil himself.

So why did her gaze keep returning to him, like a moth playing with fire? She gulped, looking around frantically for an escape. His close proximity blocked out everything, including her ability to think or decipher anything other than the intense hunger disseminating from him in waves. Maybe spontaneous orgasms aren’t a myth.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! Since Hannah was four years old, she has been doing science experiments with her father. It was their thing. They were so into it together that she got into the honors program in chemistry her freshman year of college. However, she realizes as she flunks her first college chemistry test that what she always believed to be her future isn’t what she wants any more. It is all made even clearer when she meets Ben, finds Prometheus Books, and discovers a love of reading that she never realized before. One book and guy really did “change her life.”

This compelling read is PERFECT for any romance book lover! Set in a New Adult genre, while Ben brings to life a love of reading in Hannah he takes the reader into his passion for reading too, it is foolish to resist his excitement for reading and it encouraged me to be excited for this novel. I liked how Ben & Hannah’s relationship unfolds while showing the struggle they both have trying to please their families and the difficulties that ensue through it all. An impassioning read can leave you reeling from one moment to the next. Nevertheless, I was enthralled and so happy with how it turns out.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a unique NA contemporary romance.

James held Kelly’s hand as he walked her to her apartment building from his car. While they were still in shadows, before they reached the bright light of the entrance, James stopped and turned to face Kelly. He cupped her face in one of his big, rough hands and rested the other lightly on her waist. He traced her cheekbone with a feather light touch of his thumb, and Kelly couldn’t help but turn her face into his hand like a kitten. She did manage to stop herself before she purred, and was pretty darned proud of that achievement.

She felt his hand at her waist tighten, and he dropped his forehead down to rest against hers. When he spoke his voice was low and gruff with emotion.

“Tell me to leave right now, Kel, or all my good intentions to go slow this time are flying out the window, and I’m going to ask you to invite me up to your condo.”

Kelly’s voice was quiet. “I’m not ready for that yet.”

He left his forehead resting against hers, but rubbed his head slowly back and forth. “I know. I should just go, but I can’t bring myself to leave.”

Kelly swallowed, and extended an olive branch, since she wasn’t ready to call it a night yet either. “I think I’m ready for a kiss, though.”

He lifted his head away from hers, and the happiness and blatant hope in his voice made her smile. “Yeah? Really?”

“Yeah,” she replied and stood on the tips of her canvas deck shoes to bring her mouth closer to his.

James bent his head and pressed his lips gently to hers.

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! On the night that Chloe decides on giving up on dating and men, she meets Ryan (a pro-hockey player) at a grocery store and gets into a fight with him over a lime. What starts as arrogance on both their parts leads to protection when they get into an unexpected situation, than they find themselves fueled by more lust for one another then they ever expected. Yet as their lives unintentionally become thrown together, they get into a relationship where they’ll have to decide if they are willing to overcome their preconceived notions and fall for one another for good, or if they’ll have their past relationship hurts dictate what their future will hold.

I know the words I’m about to use do not really sound right together BUT they describe this novel to a T … as it was Erotically Adorable! *hehee* Basically I LOVED how cute, playful, and funny Chloe and Ryan were together while having most of their scenes to be so steamy it keeps you wanting more! Plus, though it’s the second novel in its series it is standalone too while giving you major updates about the other series’ characters. I also enjoyed reading about Ryan’s teammates and I’d love to read more about them too!

Nevertheless, Ryan and Chloe MADE me sit down and notice them. With Chloe’s flare and Ryan’s All-American Boy sweetness, I couldn’t stop being emotionally invested in this novel, laughing one moment and getting teary eyed during the deep scenes. Add in a little holiday “magic” and this novel has everything a romance reader lover could want!

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those wanting to read a HOT hockey romance!!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars! On the run from a few assassins, Xia and her Malcolm crew “family” take refuge on a crime-ridden planet with its warlord Rahal. While Xia’s instant attraction to Rahal is undeniable, what really surprises her is their chemistry and how she is willing to do spend more than one night with him. Yet it’s not only Rahal that has stolen her attention, an arms dealer called Karn “the Viking” Anders has too.

Karn’s actual name is Cal and whose job is private law enforcement is going after Xia because of a job to reunite her with her relatives. However, as Cal gets more involved with Xia and Rahal he comes to realize that he can’t fulfill his contract but even so how will he be able to tell the truth to the two people who are starting to mean more to him than anything or anyone else?

As the three of them deal with their unexpected relationship and the threats against them, they find that they’ll need to overcome the lies that unintentionally brought them together. Or will everything fall apart on them?

This novel is Soo FUN … it would be hot and erotic one minute than have me laughing at Xia, Cal, & Rahal’s quirky antics the next. A thrilling read in more than one ways, I didn’t want to stop reading about this wonderful character match up! Plus, I found that even though I hadn’t read any other novels in this series it was still standalone enough that I never felt lost.

I found myself enamored with Xia, Rahal, & Cal as a couple. They are all badass in their own ways and I loved how Xia’s men brought her through her past healing her in the process. Silly, spontaneous, crazy in some instances, but with secret tender sides, all three are so perfect for one another that I was rooting for them from the beginning. Then with the way they “worked” through their issues at the end of this novel, it just made me like them even more.

I highly recommend this novel to those looking for a quirky and steamy erotic dramedy!!

This novel reminded me of a fun mix of Cheryl Brooks' The Cat Star Chronicles Series & Nina Croft's "Blood and Metal."

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars, two lost souls find one another at an inopportune time and try to make the most of it. However, when both of their lies come out, than more lies come into play, will their true feelings be able to become revealed once everything is on the line?

Seductive. Intense. Fast-paced. It keeps you on your toes from the very beginning and hooks you once you realize that through they have an immediate connection it’s because of their past experiences that they fight it from the start. Watching/reading about how they struggle to come to terms with their feelings for one another was very sweet and I didn’t want it to end.

Alix (Alixander) is an exiled King secretly trying to get back to his throne. Leila is a woman who has a lot of relatives who abandoned her and her mother (who recently passed away); now trying to hold her mother’s perfumer business together and unintentionally is swept up into Alix’s world. They were so right for one another in this novel, that no matter how much they lied I still liked them. Their strong personalities are what kept me riveted to their novel. I couldn’t see one without the other.

I recommend this novel to those looking for an engaging contemporary romance!
