"While She Was Sleeping..." by Isabel Sharpe
My Book Summary : Alana was packed up and all ready to move from her place in Chicago down to Florida, to be closer to her grandparents who raised her, when she gets a call from her little sister (Melanie) to "just check in." While on the phone, she finds that her sister has "fallen in love" again and after only knowing the guy for about a month he is planning to move into Alana & Melanie's home in Milwaukee. However, after the phone call Alana feels she needs to check out this guy to be sure he's "safe" and not like the other men Melanie has dated in the past. Once she gets to their house she finds it empty and her old room cleared out, so she waits up for a bit but knowing how Melanie likes to party she decides to take a sleeping pill and head off to bed.
While sleeping she has an amazing erotic dream, that she finds herself happy and relaxed when she wakes up in the morning. That is until she finds a naked man sleeping beside her in bed!!! Then her day gets worse when she finds out that he is actually her little sister's boyfriend!!!
My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. The book description that I read sounded really intriguing ... and I'll admit I really did enjoy the book right up until a little after halfway through, mostly because once things started working out for Alana that's when she started to bulk and wouldn't move forward. *Blah* Which of course ruined it for me. Plus it didn't help that her sister was very flighty and kind of annoying .... this might be a better for someone who isn't expecting much to begin with.
I know this wasn't the most delightful review so if you'd like to read better ones check them out at Amazon.com. *hahaa*
Book Teaser(s) :
Her eyes shot open. "You left your children? Four of them?"
"Oh, they're not mine. I'm living with my brother's wife. I'm pretty sure the kids are his. Most of them anyway."
She sputtered. "You...he...she..."
"So when I met Melanie and she had this place available, I jumped at the chance to ditch them all. I needed the quiet."
"I see." Her outrage was at full pitch. ~ within Chapter 4
