"In the Groove" [NASCAR Series, Book 2] by Pamela Britton
My Book Summary : Sarah just keeps getting kicked to the curb with all of her ex-boyfriends but this most recent time was a doozy! Recently some racy photos of her became published without her permission (not to mention that they were photoshoped). Because of these photos, she has lost her job as a kindergarten teacher (that she loved), and her most recent boyfriend broke up with her and kicked her out of their place to live. Therefore, she's trying to make a new start .... drives across the country to North Carolina looking for a job ... but the only thing she seems to be able to get is to become the bus driver for Lance Cooper (a famous NASCAR racer), who she has never heard of in her life. They seem to have an instant spark between them as soon as they meet, but being his employee, Sarah tries to have it go nowhere. Will Lance just give up trying? Will Sarah's past just go away or will it come back to haunt her?
My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. Cute NASCAR story ... but the way Sarah handles the situation kinda upset me ... I mean the book is well written but it made me not like the book's ending too much.
Book Teaser :
She opened her eyes. Her head--still attached to her body, miraculously--had come to rest against something hard and cool. A windshield, she realized. Her cheek and the front of her body pressed against the glass.
Oh, great.
She was now a human bug. How appropriate. ~ within Chapter 1
