You're Gonna Hear Us ROAR! Happy #Thanksgiving! | With Autumn & Holiday #BookRecommendations [Featuring @kathytrithardt, @ingridiortiz, @booktubegoddess & @writerahart]
So ... this "holiday" video is a little different because .... I am now aware (more so than ever before) about how Thanksgiving is not really a wonderful holiday to celebrate. HOWEVER, if you are celebrating it ONLY for family traditions and being truly thankful for what you have in life than ... lets celebrate! Therefore, most of the JibJab clips are music videos with our faces attached and while the video's cover has three tiny pilgram hats that is all the pilgrams you will be seeing. Basically what I am saying is WATCH THE VIDEO because it is FOR EVERYONE even those who dislike this American holiday. Watch. Enjoy! Comment your thoughts.

Tis life in the slow lane ...
Well this past Friday I found out that my position is moving from Full-Time to Part-Time. Which I am still upset about and sometimes I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack with all the stress that I feel in my chest. So, I've been going to the library lately (since I need to conserve my money till I get either a better job or some part-time jobs) to keep my mind off the negative things. In the past few days I've already finished reading "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen, "Honey, Baby, Sweetheart" by Deb Caletti, and "How to Be Popular" by Meg Cabot. All of those books were cute ... but nothing great to report about them. I am getting "Tempted" (from the House of Night series) by PC and Kristin Cast tomorrow since I pre-ordered it (YAY!!!) ... but other then that I need to start picking them up from the library. Any other books you might be able to recommend for me??
But anyways ... I'm now job hunting ... for anything that will make up for the money I'm loosing out on. *shakes head* Hopefully things will work out for the better! =0)

From Book to the Movies: Beastly
I read the book "Beastly" by Alex Flinn, last summer -- before I started writing reviews on my blog -- and at that time I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. Today I just found out that there is a new movie, based on the novel, coming in March 2011!! It looks good and I can't wait to check it out for myself!

So let's find a way to bring back the days when our hearts were forever young
Everyone is searching for their own happily-ever-after whether they believe so or not .... "Casting Spells" by Barbara Bretton ... characters are just doing the same. However, Chloe is a half-human half-sorcerer who hasn't fallen into her powers at all ... but has a town who is in need of her guidance. As the town has been protected for over 300 years from outsiders prying eyes is finally falling into their own cracks and everyone is hoping she will make it all better. But when an outsider dies in their town .... a cop moves in to find out if it was an accident or a murder??? Will Chloe be able to get him out town without anything being noticeable?? Or will he find out more then he's supposed to?4 out of 5 stars. The story was written in a diary kinda form from both Luke and Chloe's sides. It kept me rapt in what was going on and I couldn't put it down!

A Fixer Upper is RIGHT
This weekend I tried reading "The Fixer Upper" by Mary Kay Andrews. I mean the product description of it sounded so cute. It's about a girl named Dempsey, who is a lobbyist from Washington DC, and suddenly is thrown into a huge scandal and is pretty much thrown under the bus. So, her dad tells her about a family home that is in desperate need of repair that he just inherited, which he would like her to fix up since she has no prospects and he's not going to give her any money without working for it. So, she moves into this house and starts fixing it up ... finding a unique distant cousin along the way, a town where everyone knows your business, and some gentlemen who would like to get involved with Dempsey. However, she still cannot get to far away from the mess in DC.I mean with that type of book ... what more can a girl ask for? But I was wrongly advised! *blah* I mean it sounded cute ... and at the beginning of the book it started out okay but I barreled on thinking and hoping it would get better. And I was sorely mistaken. =0( The book was slower then slow. Dempsey couldn't make up her mind and for someone who was supposed to have gone to law school ... I just thought the character would have been better. *shakes head* I give it 1 out of 5 stars.

Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends right till the end
"Will Grayson, Will Grayson" by John Green & David Levithan is about friendship, love, and teenage life/problems. It's main characters are both named Will Grayson from different parts of Illinois. One is straight and one is gay ... but they are both cynics, very big ones at that. Then one night they both find themselves at a porn shop called Frenchy's and their lives take a new path ....I loved the book because it didn't try to be anything it wasn't. It spoke the truth of the situation the characters created, and I find that awesome!! The story is so unlike anything I've read in a while that it was a really good change of pace. I definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to laugh a bit and read a musical coming to life (kinda). =0) 3 out of 5 stars!!

My Book Summary : Fighting for your life and protecting those around you isn't easy, especially when you are only 14 yrs old and the oldest in your group of misfits.
Max and her friends were genetically engineered so that they are 98% human and 2% other .... which make them possibly look like Angels if they someone saw them flying in the sky. However, they are far from it. They have wings and other abilities that are growing and expanding by the day.
- "The Flock" :
- Max - The leader. The 14 yr old mother hen of the group but also built to be the smartest and strongest out of them all. However, she recently learned that she has a "Voice" in her head that helps her out, yet not sure if it is a friend or foe.
- Fang - 14 yrs old [younger then Max by 4 months]. The tall, dark, brooding, and silent type. Not sure what Fang's strengths are. But he is Max's best friend and she is slowly starting to think of him as more then just a boy.
- Iggy - 14 yrs old [younger then Max by 6 months I think]. Tall. Strawberry-blonde hair. Blind. Great with creating items or taking them apart [i.e. bombs]. Also, great at breaking into places [i.e. picking locks]. And probably more.
- Nudge - 10 or 11 yrs old. She's a motormouth! Just learned a new skill about looking into items more in depth.
- The Gasman - 8 yrs old. Cute and sweet. Not sure what he can do yet...
- Angel - 6 yrs old. Thinking she is kind of a prodigy since she's the youngest but has the most abilities it seems ... so far.
My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! I really wasn't sure what to expect at first with this book. But once I got started I couldn't stop! Kind of written with the same type of thing as the Darkest Powers Series, but with quite a few unusual twists! I'll be interested what the next book in the series, "School's Out-Forever", entails.
