You got me runnin' baby, Wild at heart

The Supes come out to play in the next three installments, "Club Dead", "Dead to the World", and "Dead as a Doornail" which are by Charlaine Harris from her Sookie Stackhouse series.

In "Club Dead" (book 3), trouble comes for Sookie & Bill's relationship in the shape of Bill's ex-girlfriend, named Lorena. Also ... it doesn't help that Bill turns into a prick either. However, when Bill doesn't turn up when he's supposed to Eric asks Sookie to go undercover to save him. ...... 5 out of 5 stars ... great ending!!!! =0)

Some of the new characters we meet in this book:
Alcide - HOT! Werewolf. Co-Owner of Father/Son construction business = rich! Like's Sookie. However ... still in love with CRAZY ex-girlfriend!

Debbie - Alcide's CRAZY ex-girlfriend! Were-Lynx. HUGE Bitch! etc etc etc...

In "Dead to the World" (book 4), one night after work Sookie drives home to find Eric running down the side of the road in nothing but pants with no idea who he is. Sookie helps him out by letting him stay with her and informing her other friends about the witch who did this to him ... since the witch wants more then Eric for his body ...... This story is mostly about the budding relationship of Eric and Sookie, which is why I give it 5 out of 5 stars!!! I just love them together!!

And as I said in the beginning of this story about the Supes ... we meet more of them like the rest of Alcide's pack, and we start to learn about the people of Hotshot. Also, we meet Claudine who happens to be a fairy ... an actual one!


Things heat up for Sookie ... especially her house! In "Dead as a Doornail" (book 5), with a shooter on the loose (who happens to like shooting and killing supes as much as possible), Sookie is scared as to which one of her friends (or her brother) will be next. But in all of the disarray of being on guard about the shooter .... someone is after Sookie. But who??

In this book Bill starts to either get Sookie back together with him ... or make her jealous .... and I just have to say I don't like it. He was an asshole and now ...... if they want to be friends fine. But I hope that's as much that happens between them. *crossing fingers* This one I gave 4 out of 5 stars.

This is the way That I say I'm Yours

Why I like these mate finding type of stories is beyond me ... but for a short story (around 200 pages -- 9 chapters) "Claiming Their Mate" (A Feral Attraction story.) by Paige McKellan isn't half bad. The differences between the past few that I've read and this one is ... one: the main person is a female named Jules who's fathers are stepping down as the Leos (aka the big cahoonas) of their pride leaving the Lioness position to Jules who now needs to find her mates to take on the role (even though she doesn't feel ready for the position yet) ... and two: yes I did say MATES not MATE!

2.5 out of 5 stars. So ... if you haven't guessed already the reason I chose to read this book in the first place was yes I like this type of quick book .... but mostly because the main character needs to find a pair of mates instead of just one. I wasn't quite sure how this would work out at first. I mean I've read a few like this so far .... but it's always just been couples ... not trios. LOL. But I definitely give it an A+ for creativeness. In a weird way Paige made it so you of course root for everyone involved ... and you get to read a few sexual escapades along the way. Which is the point .... so if you are into mate finding books check this one out. *hahaa*

This girl next door has some secrets ...

When I first started reading "Halfway To The Grave" (part of the Night Huntress series) by Jeaniene Frost, I was a little scared that I bought a series of 4 books and turn out to hate the first one. Especially after reading "The Fixer Upper," since Cat almost started having the same personality of Dempsey (like having feelings for someone then run away from them) ... and there was only so much a person can read about that. But thankfully even though the author created a lead character so flighty, she was also created strong-willed ... and then you have the lead's man that never wants to give up on her and you have a perfect romance novel! Bonus when it's a paranormal romance! =0)

This book was the first in the Night Huntress series (another vampire flick - YAY!) featuring Cat who's half-human & half-vampire, she's known she was different all her life but she had it confirmed by her mother on her 16th birthday. Her mother has a huge prejudice about vampires (because of the terms that happened to get her pregnant) and because of this she passes her prejudice onto Cat .... turning her daughter into a vampire hunter. Cat has no problem with what she does (especially since it makes her mom happy). During one of her pickups (when she's 22 yrs old) she comes across a vampire that doesn't follow the typical protocol that she's used to, and she ends up getting taken back to his place. He's under the impression that she works for someone who's after him ... until she finally gets him to know the truth about her bloodline. Then they partner up since he's a vampire hunter himself aka a hit-man ... he trains her ... they get closer ... they start working .... and the question is will she let herself fall for what she grew up thinking was wrong/evil?

"Dead and Gone" by Charlaine Harris, everybody wants a piece of Sookie these days ... Some fae want her dead. Quinn and Bill want to be her lover/boyfriend again. The government want to find out how she knew where people were after the bombing happened, and once they know they'd like to use her for themselves. Eric wants her all to himself without asking her for permission first. And more ....

5 out of 5 stars. I really liked this book ..... it was more along the lines of letting the readers know about the details instead of the action itself ... but it brought all of the multiple stories that this series has into play and I really liked it! Sookie isn't completely her brave self in this one .... actually she's mostly out of it .... and because of that I can't wait to find out with will happen next.

Some Fae are coming out to play in Dana Marie Bell's "Dare To Believe" (part of the Gray Court series - Book 1). Leo has been working in his company for 5 years and even though he became the CEO of it during the recent years he just found out which employee of his has been enticing him. The only problem is she wont stay around him long enough to get to know her, let alone an introduction. Until he plans on finally doing so at the company's annual masquerade ball....
....Ruby has had a crush on her boss ever since she first started with the company. Yet she knows inter-office romances aren't good so she avoids him ...... even though it's mostly she's just to shy and believes she'll make a fool of herself by drooling to much over him. Anyway, they finally meet and talk at the party .... Now Leo doesn't want Ruby to go....

3.5 out of 5 stars. Dana Marie takes on a different world in this book (dealing with the Fae Courts) and I really like the setup. The characters are great ... makes you just want to get to know them more. This is more then just sex and finding each others mates like her Halle Pumas' series, which makes this story that much more interesting. You should definitely check it out!!

But when things start happening for Kit that might end up killing him, Jesse feels like she has to save him. So, on a whim she flies to the United Kingdom in search of Haven where she will prove if the world she has grown up dreaming of and her dream lover are real or not.

Once she finds it will just be the first step in saving Kit, as she emerges herself into this new life/world she battles with people to get them to believe her story, then finding Kit and dealing with the upcoming situation that he is thrust into. Will she be able to save him before it's too late? And in the end ultimately save herself?

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Really even though this is the 3rd book in this series, reading this description for this book was what got me interested in reading this series in the first place (even though I've only read the first book in the series other then this one, and skipped over the second one). *sigh* It met all of my expectations and then some!! The characters were GREAT! I loved how it developed the storylines from the previous books in the series! And Kit & Jesse were just adorable together! ♥

Book Report - The Van Alen Legacy [Blue Bloods]

Okay .... yesterday I finished the latest book in the Blue Bloods series called the Van Alen Legacy!! This one develops more of the plot (Duh .. of course .. *hehee*) mostly around Bliss's "Visitor" / Jack & Schuyler's romance / Mimi's responsibilities ... etc. Of course with plot twists galore!! I really don't know how to explain it any more without giving more of this book away ... but I will say that if you haven't picked up this series yet then I would start!

However, I will say this ... I think this is the best book out of the whole series thus far!! =0)
