"Dead and Gone" by Charlaine Harris, everybody wants a piece of Sookie these days ... Some fae want her dead. Quinn and Bill want to be her lover/boyfriend again. The government want to find out how she knew where people were after the bombing happened, and once they know they'd like to use her for themselves. Eric wants her all to himself without asking her for permission first. And more ....
5 out of 5 stars. I really liked this book ..... it was more along the lines of letting the readers know about the details instead of the action itself ... but it brought all of the multiple stories that this series has into play and I really liked it! Sookie isn't completely her brave self in this one .... actually she's mostly out of it .... and because of that I can't wait to find out with will happen next.

So far in my major book reading lately I have found that no one else but Susan Elizabeth Phillips can write a great romance novel where every single one (thus far that I've read) deals with opposites attracting to each other (or at least that's what the characters believe in the beginning). My favorite of her novels is still "Match Me If You Can" from her The Chicago Stars books.
However, I just finished reading "Ain't She Sweet"!! And I have to say it has become my second fave out of all her books! Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! It's all about Sugar Beth (a Southern Belle who growing up has made her town resent from all the trouble she caused) and Colin (a British writer who moved to the south and when he started to try making a name for himself, met his match - not always in the best way either). The story is really charming ... and I like how Sugar Beth and Colin "overcome their demons". So-to-speak. =0)

"Twilight Guardian" [Children of the Goddess Series, Book 3] by R. G. Alexander
My Book Summary : Kit & Jesse have a unique relationship ..... they meet in each others dreams. They have been doing to ever since Jesse was a little girl. The only problem is that neither of them knows that the other is real, they have been thinking for a long time that the other is just a figment of their imaginations.

Once she finds it will just be the first step in saving Kit, as she emerges herself into this new life/world she battles with people to get them to believe her story, then finding Kit and dealing with the upcoming situation that he is thrust into. Will she be able to save him before it's too late? And in the end ultimately save herself?
My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Really even though this is the 3rd book in this series, reading this description for this book was what got me interested in reading this series in the first place (even though I've only read the first book in the series other then this one, and skipped over the second one). *sigh* It met all of my expectations and then some!! The characters were GREAT! I loved how it developed the storylines from the previous books in the series! And Kit & Jesse were just adorable together! ♥
It was her.
She looked frightened and tired, and more beautiful than anything he'd seen in his life. But why were her wrists tied in front of her like a prisoner? "Sarasvatti?"
"Kit." Her smile was tremulous, hopeful. He understood the feeling well. She was real? His angel was real? ~ within Chapter 3

My Book Summary : Zoey/Heath/Stark - Heath and Stark test their own strength at finding ways to save Zoey. Yet, Stark is still among the living and Heath is dead with Zoey in the Otherworld. Will Stark be able to get to them in time (only seven days) before Zoey will physically die? Or will Nefert & Kalona win by finally getting Zoey out of their way?
Aphrodite/Nerd Herd/Darius - All are trying to help Stark with finding a way to save Zoey. Aphrodite is learning more about what is means to be a Prophetess of Nyx by accepting her abilities more and trying to hold everyone together while Zoey is away.
Stevie Rae - As the only one left in Tulsa she is trying to help in her own way. However, while she wants to help Zoey, her own world is coming down around her. She begins a love triangle that she really can't explain. Especially with secrets, starting between her first boyfriend and her might just tear her world apart. Then to top things off the "evil" red fledglings are doing more damage then she knows how to deal with and its up to her to stop them before things get even more out of hand.
My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars! As always I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! This is one of my favorite series! The House of Night series keeps you on your toes, makes you curious as to what will happen next, and this book was no different. I really wish it had a couple 100+ more page in it so I didn't have to finish. This series has evolved so much that it changed from a first person story to reading from six different points-of-views. The best part about that is the authors have not fallen off track from the plot at all with it jumping around so much. It was just ..... awesome ... Awesome ... AWESOME!!! *hehee* I laughed and I definitely cried ..... and I already CANNOT wait until the next book of this series comes out! =0) Zoey + Stark = ♥ | Zoey + Heath = ♥ | Stevie Rae + her new "man" = ♥
Stevie Rae looked from vampyre to vampyre. "Y'all need to get your shit together. Here's a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn't dead. And believe me, I know dead. I've been there, done that, and got the frickin' T-shirt."~ within Chapter 7

Okay ... I just finished read the Jessica Darling series, written by Megan McCafferty, which includes 5 books (Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings, Charmed Thirds, Fourth Comings, & Perfect Fifths). I started reading the first book sometime last week and then finished reading the last book this morning (with a few days waiting period for the final books to arrive somewhere in between). And all I can say it I LOVED IT/THEM!!!!!!!
Sloppy Firsts - starts out when Jessica is sixteen and has never really had a boyfriend. She's smart and "snarky" ... what's not to love. *hahaa* And in this book she starts seeing Marcus Flutie, who is the all around bad boy! Then it goes from the end of her sophomore year into summer time then into her junior year of high school ... and Marcus is back more so then ever.
Throughout the whole series it shows you Jessica's tale of her romance with Marcus ... through the good times and bad. I also love it because these characters are written as being the same age as me, so I can definitely relate to the pop culture references and what she goes through. Not that my life is exactly like hers but I definitely understand how she feels in the situations she gets thrown in.
Then in Perfect Fifths - you finally get to hear both sides of the romance as the tale goes back and forth between the characters. ♥ I really can't say anymore without giving it all away so I'll just say again ... I LOVED IT!!!!
To find out more info on this series go to Megan McCafferty's website. =0)
Here's an awesome video overview about the series ... check it out:

"Nerd herd, focus. You're here to help the fledglings. Dour One and Dour Two aren't important," said Aphrodite.
"Dr. Seuss reference. I like it," Stark said, giving me a check-me-out-I've-always-read-books hottie grin.
Aphrodite frowned at him. "I said focus, not flirt."
Okay ... I'm going to try and be nice ... trying not to give away any spoilers but if I do ... I apologize ahead of time. *long sigh* And I'll start by saying: **SPOILER ALERT** Just in case! =0)
I just now finished reading "Tempted" by P. C. Cast & Kristin Cast .... and again I say OH MY GODDESS!! It was soooooooooooooo goood!! I cried at the end! So I recommend that if you read it ... bring tissues!
It's the 6th book in the House of Night (HoN) series, and it is already my fave one thus far, I give it 5 out of 5 stars!! As always there are love triangles galore in the book! *big grin* I have to laugh, that Stevie Rae is starting her own love triangles too. =0) I think I'm going to enjoy the relationship between her and her new guy (the one she imprints with!!). I think Aphrodite & Darius' relationship is very sweet! And I'm extra happy that Zoey finally smarten ups about Erik ... he was turning into such a jerk. =0P
Which leads me to my two fave men in the series Heath and Stark ... and I absolutely LOVE how they act ... what they do ... and just what good guys they are in this book ... it just made me love them more. =0)
However, I will say that this is the first book out of the series that made me bawl like a baby at the end. I mean yes I cried when Stevie Rae died ... but this was different. =0( And it was the first one that definitely ends with a cliffhanger, compared with the others. Since I mean you are always curious as to what will happen next ... but this one just stopped in the middle of a big plot twist.
I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL "BURNED" (the next book in the HoN series) COMES OUT IN MAY 2010!!! YAY!!
Also ... I'll say that I really liked how this book we were able to get glimpses into the heads of some of the other characters. Since in the previous books you just got it all from Zoey's point of view .. which is fine since she's an awesome character .. yet it's fun to see things from another prospective too.
To sum it all up if you haven't read the House of Night series then I DEFINITELY recommend you starting! To find out more about the HoN or just about Tempted, then check out their Amazon author pages: P. C. Cast's Page & Kristin Cast's Page

Witty & Hilarious .. "Playing James" by Sarah Mason is everything I could hope for and more!! Holly is a up-and-coming reporter, who just got her big break! James is a cop, who takes his line of work very seriously .... hates reporters ... and is about to get married in 6 weeks time .... and just got assigned Holly to play his shadow up until the day he says "I do." Tempers start flying ... situations get misread ... and when Holly's column becomes a big hit the readers start questioning if there's more between the reporter and the detective then they both are letting on??
5 out of 5 stars!! LOVED IT!! It's up beat! Fast paced! With plenty of twists thrown in just to make you second guess how you think the story will end! =0)
