Looking for a great romance story that isn't 500 pages long? Well ... "The Wallflower" (part of the Halle Pumas series) by Dana Marie Bell would be one for you to look into. It's a cute story, but a quick read (over 200 pages but under 300 pages) that I couldn't out down! It's about Max & Emma who have known each other since they were teens but after moving in different directions (by going to college and just growing up), they find themselves living in their hometown again. Emma has always been in love with Max growing up, but thinks that since he has never dated someone like her she doesn't stand a chance with him. However, Max is instantly drawn to Emma as soon as he hears her speak ... and now the two can't get enough of each other. The only problem is Max's ex just can't take NO for an answer .. know matter what.

3 out of 5 stars, this story I just couldn't put down!

This is the way That I say I'm Yours

Why I like these mate finding type of stories is beyond me ... but for a short story (around 200 pages -- 9 chapters) "Claiming Their Mate" (A Feral Attraction story.) by Paige McKellan isn't half bad. The differences between the past few that I've read and this one is ... one: the main person is a female named Jules who's fathers are stepping down as the Leos (aka the big cahoonas) of their pride leaving the Lioness position to Jules who now needs to find her mates to take on the role (even though she doesn't feel ready for the position yet) ... and two: yes I did say MATES not MATE!

2.5 out of 5 stars. So ... if you haven't guessed already the reason I chose to read this book in the first place was yes I like this type of quick book .... but mostly because the main character needs to find a pair of mates instead of just one. I wasn't quite sure how this would work out at first. I mean I've read a few like this so far .... but it's always just been couples ... not trios. LOL. But I definitely give it an A+ for creativeness. In a weird way Paige made it so you of course root for everyone involved ... and you get to read a few sexual escapades along the way. Which is the point .... so if you are into mate finding books check this one out. *hahaa*

Some Fae are coming out to play in Dana Marie Bell's "Dare To Believe" (part of the Gray Court series - Book 1). Leo has been working in his company for 5 years and even though he became the CEO of it during the recent years he just found out which employee of his has been enticing him. The only problem is she wont stay around him long enough to get to know her, let alone an introduction. Until he plans on finally doing so at the company's annual masquerade ball....
....Ruby has had a crush on her boss ever since she first started with the company. Yet she knows inter-office romances aren't good so she avoids him ...... even though it's mostly she's just to shy and believes she'll make a fool of herself by drooling to much over him. Anyway, they finally meet and talk at the party .... Now Leo doesn't want Ruby to go....

3.5 out of 5 stars. Dana Marie takes on a different world in this book (dealing with the Fae Courts) and I really like the setup. The characters are great ... makes you just want to get to know them more. This is more then just sex and finding each others mates like her Halle Pumas' series, which makes this story that much more interesting. You should definitely check it out!!

My Book Summary : Kit & Jesse have a unique relationship ..... they meet in each others dreams. They have been doing to ever since Jesse was a little girl. But when things start happening for Kit that might end up killing him, Jesse feels like she has to save him. So, on a whim she flies to the United Kingdom in search of Haven where she will prove if the world she has grown up dreaming of and her dream lover are real or not.

Once she finds it will just be the first step in saving Kit, as she emerges herself into this new life/world she battles with people to get them to believe her story, then finding Kit and dealing with the upcoming situation that he is thrust into. Will she be able to save him before it's too late? And in the end ultimately save herself?

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Really even though this is the 3rd book in this series, reading this description for this book was what got me interested in reading this series in the first place (even though I've only read the first book in the series other then this one, and skipped over the second one). *sigh* It met all of my expectations and then some!! The characters were GREAT! I loved how it developed the storylines from the previous books in the series! And Kit & Jesse were just adorable together! ♥

My Book Summary : With the vampire craze that has hit the world Thomas Lyons (or Tomcat as his username states), who’s a cat shifter, feels that the world show be open to him coming out too. One day he starts a blog/website, that he calls Shifting Reality, where he rants about being a cat shifter in a human world – explaining all the positives and negatives of being who he is.

No one in Thomas’ life is off limits, which includes his two roommates: one is a vampire named Mac and the other is a half-demon named Saint. Soon the website it a hit, and branches out to include chat rooms and more. The thing that Thomas finds interesting is that the more truthful he is on the site the more people don’t believe it’s real. To prove to some of the fans the reality of the world they live in, he and his roommates put together a contest for nine human winners to stay a week in a haunted Scottish castle with them.

One of those winners is Margo, an office assistant living in LA and working for a boss that wants her to get the stars of Shifting Reality to sign a contract to make their blog series into a movie! However, Margo is not thrilled about the prospect of being on camera. The only reason she entered the contest is because she couldn’t get enough of Thomas and his postings. She never imagined she’d actually win! But now it’s either get these stars to sign this contract or loose her job. It’s a no brainer right? Wrong! Especially when the sexy star has only eyes for her it seems...

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! For a novella it has a wonderful plot - action packed and great romance scenes! The characters are represented in a place where all species seem to get along, which is a great new take for a paranormal fantasy. R. G. Alexander wrote another great one!

My Book Summary : After getting dumped by her human boyfriend Claire goes into a bar called Dos Culebras trying to awaken her wild side, if she has one. Once there Lars catches her eye, they start talking, and after awhile he seem open to help her out so they take a little Moonshine [a drink that is like a shifter aphrodisiac] in the back alley and go back to his place.

However, after they get into the swing of things Lars wants to have her but only when she isn't intoxicated. It also doesn't help that Claire has never let her wild side out before so she doesn't know if it'll happen for her without assistance of Moonshine or alcohol.

Will she be able to change her ways? Since she was raised a good girl will she even want to?

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars. For a really short story I did like it! The characters were great! And if I ever read the actual Carnal Powers Series then I'll be interested to see the parts they play in "Last Hope".

  -- I've only read the first few chapters and I am so excited ... I can't wait to get back to reading it. However ... I will say one of the new characters named Margaret is a royal bitch and I wish I could slap her.

  "The Avenger" [Time Raiders Series, Book 3] by P. C. Cast
  -- 3 out of 5 stars. I finished that book yesterday ... it was good. I did like it but it was not my fave book by P. C. Cast, I was kind of disappointed in how it didn't really break at all from what she normally writes. Which can be a good and bad thing. =0/
