The Designer House at Bayside Manor
This past Monday (Aug. 11th) I volunteered at the Designer House. That place is gorgeous!!! It's a 1850's antebellum plantation home that is a 5,000 square foot house including 18 design areas. Every inch of that house had been redone from the in-laws separated space to it multiple forays. I recommend anyone and everyone to please check it out! In addition, Montero's Restaurant opened a small cafe there that opens at 11:00 am and their specials change daily! Made Video of the Week
Well ... I was browsing my YouTube videos yesterday, as I like to see where people are viewing them from, and I noticed a lot of people were starting to view my Rose Buddies 25th Anniversary Celebration video through www.cruisersnet.net. So, I went to check it out and what I found was they named my video as their Video of the Week!! YAY! Today I uploaded some more photos to my Photo Gallery!!I started a new listing called 2008-2009 Co-Op Campaign Photography. In this listing I have photography for 4 of the Campaign Participants, which are listed in the categories: Carolina Cup Regatta, Downtown Waterfront Market, Harbor Arts Festival, and the Juneteenth Celebration. So, if you were either involved with the on of the events or just like to see the photography that was taken .. then please click here.
In addition, I uploaded the photos I took on the 4th of July and other shots, and put them into the North Carolina section. The photo category is: Elizabeth City, and the sub-categories are: Holiday Events and Flowers/Landscapes.

Tis life in the slow lane ...
Well this past Friday I found out that my position is moving from Full-Time to Part-Time. Which I am still upset about and sometimes I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack with all the stress that I feel in my chest. So, I've been going to the library lately (since I need to conserve my money till I get either a better job or some part-time jobs) to keep my mind off the negative things. In the past few days I've already finished reading "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen, "Honey, Baby, Sweetheart" by Deb Caletti, and "How to Be Popular" by Meg Cabot. All of those books were cute ... but nothing great to report about them. I am getting "Tempted" (from the House of Night series) by PC and Kristin Cast tomorrow since I pre-ordered it (YAY!!!) ... but other then that I need to start picking them up from the library. Any other books you might be able to recommend for me??
But anyways ... I'm now job hunting ... for anything that will make up for the money I'm loosing out on. *shakes head* Hopefully things will work out for the better! =0)

Civil War Trails Marker Dedication
On November 6, 2008 in the Museum of the Albemarle's Auditorium, the Elizabeth Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Museum of the Albemarle held a Civil War Trails Marker Dedication/Unveiling Ceremony in honor of six historical markers that were recently placed around the Downtown Area in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Busy as a Beaver
Hello everyone,
I know I should have at least 3 new videos up by now but I have gotten busy again.
The Advertising/Marketing Co-Op Campaign that the Elizabeth City Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (at my other job) has started up the beginning of this month. So, I have been busy trying to get things in order for the almost 30 videos I'll be creating for that. I have currently been working on the video for that office as the "Elizabeth City" video ... and after a few more changes you should be able to see what it looks like.
Also, I got my first job recently!! I'm going to be taking photography for a wedding happening on August 8, 2008. And the bride is being very sweet in allowing me to use the photography taking and making a video out of it. So, in about another month or so you'll be able to see that.

Elizabeth City Wharf with a Mistress
For those who aren't familiar with Elizabeth City. Then I'll start by saying that in the downtown district is a Mariners Wharf, basically a park to the rest of the town, but to boaters it is a nice place to stay free for 48 hours on there way to their next adventure. And around this time in October every year we start seeing the docks slips becoming full of boaters heading south for the winter. It is really a sight to witness, as you can see in the photo below.
Two days ago boaters Skip & Kathleen pulled into the Elizabeth City slips on their 1930's Schooner called the Mistress. It is a gorgeous boat inside and out, I had to take some pictures of it.
Here is a shot of the inside of the boat:
On Wednesday, October 23rd Skip & Kathleen dressed up their boat with it's flags. To their request they asked if they could borrow an Elizabeth City flag to put onto their boat, which I was able to get for them.
