"Northern Exposure" [Compass Brothers Series, Book 1] by Jayne Rylon & Mari Carr

My Book Summary : Lucy had always had a thing for Silas even though she was dating his best friend, Colby. The three of them had been inseparable growing up, so when Lucy finds Colby and Silas making out in the barn she's crushed thinking that they have finally found what they want in each other and no longer want her and takes off. However, Silas takes Lucy's leaving after being caught kissing Colby as her being discussed with what they were doing, so with that in mind, and since he's 18-years-old, he decides to take himself out of the equation so he won't be able to hurt his family or Colby and Lucy.

Over the next ten years, Silas is in Alaska working on risky jobs, drinking away his misery over missing his family, their ranch, and the two people he has always loved (Colby and Lucy). Then an accident happens while on the job, injuring him, and sending him back home into the care of Colby and Lucy.

Even though things have changed while Silas has been gone, the one thing that hasn't is Colby and Lucy's love and dedication to each other and their love for Silas, whom they both miss. However, once Silas gets back home will they be able to salvage the relationship they all once shared together and make it grow into something more? Or will everyone else's expectations of what is propriety get in the way of their love?

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This story is about the lengths people will go through to make sure they put the ones they love above all else, even if what they decide is a little misguided. I really enjoyed this story!! The sex scenes were very hot. You might need to cool yourself off afterwards! In addition, what makes this story really likeable is the plot, it might be short but it worked. I just wished it was a bit longer.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys erotic romances.

Book Teaser(s) :
A series of three dings proved Seth, Sam and Sawyer waited for him to join. He selected their names from the list onscreen then entered the conference.
"You should have seen them. Smoking hot quadruplets, Sam." Silas's brother out west bragged to his twin. "Two for you, two for me."
"Sawyer Compton, what kind of trouble are you digging up now?" Vicky laughed at the horror on her youngest son's face.
"Dude, a little warning would have been nice before you tossed Mom on the line." To see the Coastie blush made Silas's day. ~ within Chapter 6
