I’m so glad you’ve come to visit. If you’ve read one of my books, you already know quite a bit about me, but here’s what I know about you... You have a great sense of humor. You believe life is stressful enough without having to read depressing novels. You love a good love story, but you want a little extra, too. A tear. A laugh. A sigh. A sense of recognition. You’ve come to the right place, and I hope you enjoy your visit.

As all of you who’ve read "Call Me Irresistible" know, Ted Beaudine’s bride, Lucy Jorik (from "First Lady") runs away from her wedding at the very beginning of the book. (No spoiler.) We never see her again and—I know that’s sort of rotten—but I had good intentions. I originally planned to include Lucy’s story as part of "Call Me Irresistible," but it quickly became evident that this was a woman who needed her very own book...and her very own man.

For better or worse, she has it!

Even semi-cleaned up in a dark suit that didn’t fit well, a rumpled white shirt open at the collar, and motorcycle boots that appeared to have received nothing more than a dusting, he didn’t look like anybody she wanted to meet in an alley. Exactly where she happened to be...
