"An Accidental Birthright" by Maisey Yates

My Book Summary : Alison has always wanted to be a mother. Over the years, she has planned her life so she could get pregnant and become the best possible mother there could be. However, never in her plans did she ever want a husband or plan on having a father for her child, assuming she could be enough for the baby.

Now she is currently pregnant with her first child, and it should be the happiest time in her life. And it was, up until the clinic she went to called to tell her that they mixed up the samples that she chose with another person’s accidentally. Therefore, Alison has a big problem on her hands. She chose her donor specifically because as she is a non-affected carrier of Cystic Fibrosis, she wanted to have a father who didn't have that genetic flaw so there wasn't the possibility that her child could get the disease like her sister had. With those thoughts in mind, she goes to find the father of her child so she can be certain everything will be okay and finds out the shock of her life ...

... the father of her child, Maximo (Max), is the Prince of Turan and her baby will be a royal heir!!

Where for Max, after recently dealing with a devastating loss of his wife a few years ago, this is an unexpected second chance at the child he was working for before his wife died. There is no way he is willing to let Alison go. Therefore, the only conclusion is for them to get married! The big question is can they make it work, especially since neither planned on marrying anyone anytime soon...

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars!! This novel is the perfect complement to anyone looking for an easy read that will entice you enough to wish you were Alison!! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, from how unique the plot was to the budding romance and deep respect that you read from Max & Alison!! They were just the type of couple that held your attention enough to wish there was more to the story!! And that was my only problem with this story .... I could not get enough of it! =0)

I recommend it to anyone who's a romantic at heart!

- On a side note -
I really hope that doctor of Max's got fired, since she was a real bitch! Plus, I am really curious as to what happened between Alison and her new in-laws. Mostly I want to know how their relationship is now as it was really rocky throughout the book. =0/

Check out Maisey's answers to my above side note!!

Book Teaser(s) :
It wasn't a demanding kiss. It was a slow seduction of her body, her mind, her senses. She'd never been kissed like this, with this level of skill and sensuality.
She'd kissed men before. Mostly back in college when she'd bothered with the pretense of casual dating. But never had a kiss made her feel so hollow, so desirous for more, as if she was in need of something only this man possessed. ~ within Chapter 3
"I promised I wouldn't force you, Alison, but I didn't say I wouldn't seduce you."
Her stomach flipped, and as her nausea was starting to fade already there was no way she could place the blame on her pregnancy. "Well, that isn't...it's not...you won't be able to."
He leaned in, his lips just a breath away from hers. "What did I tell you about issuing challenges?"
"I..." She couldn't tear her eyes away from his mouth, couldn't stop herself from leaning in just slightly... ~ within Chapter 7
