My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This is a reread for me because this novel I had read in November of 2019 and before I had posted my official review/rating, I had lost it (find out the whole story on my blog). Therefore, this novel was chosen as a reread because I did remember enjoying it before, didn’t remember all of the plotline – which made it, so I got to enjoy it more, and I was in the mood for a paranormal polyamorous romance to read.What I found was this novel held up all my expectations, except for the end. Though I cannot say I loved this novel the whole way through, I did thoroughly

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars. This novel was a mixture of what I expected and what I had not expected. Also, even though I had not read the Hunger Games series I had watched the movie versions and can definitely say that this novel felt like an adult sexualized version of the Hunger Games – game-wise only as there was no similar plots – with a Cinderellaesque twist to it. THIS NOVEL WAS SOOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!

The Books I'm Thankful For (so far) in 2020
It is Thanksgiving Day (the USA version of it at least) today! The tradition on my blog is to post a list of ALL the books I've read thus far this year that I've given my highest ratings to (5 out of 5 stars) today, which means I'm VERY Thankful for finding/reading them!HOWEVER -- and it is a BIG HOWEVER -- this year has been hard for everyone. Myself included when it comes to promoting the books I have been reviewing. As if you look at my 2017 & 2018 Thankful Book Lists you'll see within my top write-up (like this one) that I say something along the lines of "because of life I have reviews but have yet to fully post them yet." This year is a LITTLE different because though ... that is still true ... my reviews ARE backlogged ... I had a catastrophe in March 2020 where I LOST ALL OF MY PREVIOUS REVIEWS. Yeah. If you want to hear ALL about it click here. BUT for 2020 specifically I was trying gather some "reading stats" for you, so out of those 19 books I know that 5 that I have no reviews for need to be on this list because I had rated them 5 out of 5 stars!
Yes this list is odd BUT other than the top three books within this list the others DO have reviews for them -- FULL REVIEWS COMING SOON -- so CHECK IT OUT! My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars!! This is the FINAL novel from Ms. Ryan’s Dante's Circle Series. Here we follow Eliana and Malik as they come to terms with their future, find out more about Eliana’s true self, and take on the reins of parenthood while Malik takes on his new role of leader of his pride. However, not everyone is in favor of Malik ruling over them and will stop at nothing to take him down. What will Eliana have to do to keep her new family together forever? Will the sacrifice be worth it?
This novel was very cute! Yet, while I appreciated the updates that happened for all of Eliana’s friends/family at the beginning and end of this novel, I found the first 30% of this novel hard to read through. I found it difficult mostly because, while I liked Eliana and Malik together as a couple, they come back together in a rushed and kind of unrealistic way. It was hard to appreciate their struggle and joining, as I would have liked. Though once mated I found the plot to become more fast-paced and entertaining.
Together their attraction and chemistry are undeniable. What threw me off in the beginning with Malik was just as Eliana states in Chapter 3 ::
The king of the freaking jungle was an asshole.Nevertheless, once they overcome that, they become a powerfully protective duo that will do whatever it takes to keep their family together. I loved the scenes based around their child. So heartwarming!
I HIGHLY recommend this novel and series to those who are fans of Ms. Ryan and/or looking for a unique paranormal romance!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars! The Lone Pine Pride Series, with all of its novels including "Hawk's Revenge," are a spin-off from Ms. Andrews’ Serengeti Shifters Series and while each of the novels are all connected very closely, because of the way the background plot of the series runs, readers can expect them to be stand-alone-ish novels.
For the past four years, Rachel has been a fertility scientist working for the Organization and during that time, she has secretly organized shifters to escape. Six months ago, the Organization became suspicious of her and her relationship with Adrian (Noah/Hawk), a hawk shifter who she was sort of dating and helping her get the shifter escapees further away than they could by themselves. So, for the sake of all her plans and the escapees she allows the Organization to capture Adrian, and in the end herself too. Recently she has gotten Adrian released from the compound but will that personal betrayal between them be easy to overcome? Will Adrian understand why she did what she did to him and go back to save her too? Was what they shared together even real or just a lot of pent up lust? So many questions and lies between them, with so little time will they be able to get the closure they need or will everything fall apart?
OH MY GOD!! I WAS ADDICTED TO THIS NOVEL FROM THE VERY BEGINNING! So much so, that if it wasn’t for my husband saying it was time for bed I probably stayed up all night to read it, as it was I went to bed at 11:30 pm. =0)
I was very intrigued and could not get enough! This thrillingly intense novel is all about overcoming circumstances that you were thrown in while trying to trust your instincts by doing the right thing. Sizzling, hot, and passionate. Adrian and Rachel’s relationship sets this novel one cut above the rest with the dynamic ways these two came back together. I’m amazed by how it all worked out for them! I cannot wait to see where Ms. Andrews will take this series and this couple next.
I HIGHLY recommend this novel and series to those looking for a uniquely intense paranormal thriller romance!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! Trixie (Trix) loves being a vampire, being one has changed her life for the better but even after thirty years without her humanity, she still struggles with leaving her daughter behind. Therefore, at least once a week, she watches over her daughter in hopes of making sure she is okay and protecting her from anything bad that might come her way. Nevertheless, Trixie isn’t prepared for the gargoyles that force themselves into her daughter’s life and she’ll do anything it takes to protect her, even if that means transforming her daughter into a vampire as well, something she never wanted to happen. With a slow drawling cowboy vampire (Dakota) to help her keep her family together and hunt down the ones who destroyed her daughter’s life everything might be okay, that is until lies from their pasts are revealed. Now both Dakota & Trixie’s futures are the line … will they be able to right old wrongs before it’s all too late?
This fast-paced suspenseful paranormal romance is one that kept me wanting to read more! Ms. Humphreys’ writes a spectacular tale full of heart and heroism. Written in a way that the reader doesn’t need to follow the series yet made you fall in love with all of the characters, you’re bound to be entertained!
I loved the odd combo of Trixie and Dakota together. With her being a punk rock chick and him being a “good ole boy” cowboy it was interesting and charming to see how put up with being bloodmates. Yet as the reader finds Trixie and Dakota were destined to be together from day one, because of their surprising shared past adventures. They were such a sweet couple. I couldn’t get enough of them, loved how they came together, and wanted to read more! In truth, they intrigued me into this series. I hope it will be continued, as I want updates on them and the other members of Trixie’s coven!
I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those who are fans of Ms. Humphreys and/or to those looking for a uniquely delightful vampire paranormal romance!

My Book Review : 2 out of 5 stars. All of Caroline’s life she believed that her “step-father” turned her into a bear shifter when she was little and over the years, he drilled into her the fact that she NEEDS to mate with an alpha-male-bear-shifter to keep the bloodline pure. Now her parents are divorced and her “step-father” off to who-knows-where Caroline decides to start her life over in Atlanta, Georgia. Yet, not long after she starts her new job Zane, a hot tiger shifter, comes into her life claiming that he’s her mate and there to save her. Will Caroline decide to go against everything she’s been raised to believe or follow the path she’s always been on no matter the costs?
I’m trying to review this novella critically but it’s hard, mostly because this novella being written in a third person narrative that I am not a fan of reading. Plus, it was hard to read about a shifter (i.e. Caroline) who doesn’t trust their instincts and instead follows blindly along what they’ve been taught even though all the evidence points that to do so is a bad decision. Therefore I had to rate this novella the 2 out of 5 stars that I did. The two saving graces to this novella was Zane and the plot! I really enjoyed this novella’s backstory. And Zane. *happy sigh* I could not get enough of that man! =0)
NEVERTHELESS, I DO recommend this novella to those looking for a unique shifter romance.
