    Book Teaser:
"Two misunderstandings there: I'm not your woman, and I definitely do not want a baby right now. Surely you've had other lovers who didn't want babies?"
He stared at her blankly for a moment, managing to look intimidating even in the nude. "The situation has never arisen. I usually prefer men."
Ruby's mouth dropped open. For long seconds she couldn't think of anything to say. Then blood rushed to her head. ~ within Chapter 1

Feasted On: Bossman’s Baby Scandal by Catherine Mann

Format: Paperback | Pages: 181 | Release Date: January 2010 | Publisher: Silhouette Desire | Obtained: Friends of the Pasquotank-Camden Library - Fall Book Sale

"Bossman’s Baby Scandal" by Catherine Mann

My Book Summary : Jason & Lauren had been collages and good acquaintances for over a year when saying goodbye to each other [as Jason was moving across the country into a new job] turned into a quick, HOT, passionate encounter that left them both wanting more. However, Lauren got scared by the passion they suddenly expressed to each other, and with them soon to be living in completely different locations, that Lauren convinces Jason that they shouldn't pursue anything between them.

Now 4 months later ... Jason & Lauren hasn't heard from each other at all. So, when Jason gets a picture texted to him, by a mutual friend of theirs, of a pregnant Lauren he immediately knows it's his baby and flies back to NYC to talk to her about it and also see if she'll help him out by being his fake fiancee. When he gets there he finds that Lauren's business is having some hard times. So, he thinks she would go along with his plans with no problem, even if its just for the baby's sake, right?

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars, this story is HOT and intriguing with two main characters that make you wish this story was longer!! Both Jason & Lauren are determined to never be a "trust-fund kid" but sometimes they are too determined in a way that they stay at arms length with anyone they could possibly get close to too. I really liked the banter between the main characters it definitely keeps the story flowing.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good steamy romance.

    Book Teaser(s) :
Pure want pounded through his veins. "You made it clear our plans for the future didn't jibe."
    "That hasn't changed."
"Everything has changed." He shifted in his seat, the leather creaking as he leaned closer to her.
Her pupils dilated. She swayed nearer. Still he waited, taking his time to breathe in the fresh scent of her, the flowers and the greenery she worked with.
He slid an arm along the back of her seat, just cupping her shoulder, absorbing the feel of her, remembering. Her curves fit into the curve of his arm, softer, fuller with the swell of pregnancy between them.
He forced himself to move away. "This baby puts a whole new spin on priorities, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner we can move on to the good stuff."
She flopped back with a frustrated sigh. "You have a one-track mind." ~ within Chapter 3

"Wish Upon A Star" by Sarah Morgan

"Christy" [Previously published as "The Christmas Marriage Rescue"]

My Story Summary : Feeling that she was being left behind in her marriage, Christy thought the only way she could bring things around (and be noticed) is by leaving. Secretly hoping that her husband, Alessandro, would come for her, and their kids, and drag her home. However, that never happened. So now with the kids' Christmas break coming up and the number one thing on their Christmas lists are to have their family together for the holidays. Which give Christy the perfect excuse to go home, see her husband again, and possibly pick up the pieces of their marriage for the better.

Unless, Alessandro didn't come after her because he really wants to get a divorce, but he can't want that .... right?

My Story Review : 3 out of 5 stars. This was a cute and steamy story of a pair of stubborn and prideful people who are learning how to possibly save their marriage. It also helps that they have two nosy kids of their own that are willing to do anything to bring them back together too. All of the characters were great, plus the setting and hospital details I couldn't get enough of.

    Story Teaser :
Alessandro eyed the dangerous glint in her eye and felt the hot burn of lust spread through his body. He'd always loved her passion and strength. The fact that she was afraid of nothing. 'You're a strong woman, that's true, querida,' he drawled, 'but---'
'But nothing! Believe it or not, I still have a brain, Alessandro, and giving birth to your children hasn't changed that fact.' Passion and fire burned in her eyes and he was suddenly relieved that she'd put the knife down. ~ within Chapter 2

"Miranda" [Previously published as "The Midwife's Christmas Miracle"]

My Story Summary : Miranda just moved to the Lake District and is trying to make a new, and better, life for herself and her unborn baby. She thinks nothing of taking a walk to clear her head and think about what has happened in her life recently. That is until she comes out of her daydreams she was having on a rock to find that it's snowing and the snow is so high that she isn't sure how to make it back to the parking lot where she left her bike. This is how Jake finds and meets Miranda, then gets her to go back to his place to spend the rest of Christmas with him. As the day progresses he admits to himself that he likes Miranda and he wants to get to know her better.

However, by the next day she has taken off without leaving her number for him, yet without meaning to he finds her later that day in his department at the hospital working there. Over the next couple of days, which turn into months, Jake takes it upon himself to take care of Miranda and find out the secrets she seems to be hiding and the reasons behind them. But will he be able to change Miranda's mind about never wanting to be in a romantic relationship again or will her secrets hold her back??

My Story Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. This was a sweet story of a fiercely independent woman and a very determined man who need each other more then either first realizes. However, even though Miranda is very reluctant to start anything, Jake plans to win her over at all costs made this story interesting.

What I didn't like was how slow this story was in comparison to the first one. Blah .... it could have been a bit better. =0/

    Story Teaser :
'Has anyone ever told you that you're controlling?'
He smiled and strolled towards the door. 'Frequently. Blame it on the job. Occasionally I'm required to make instant, unilateral decisions. Sometimes that spills into my personal life.'
She watched him leave, a small, regretful smile on her face. ~ within Chapter 6

Feasted On: The Wilder Books, Book 1

    - This is an ARC book - Available Formats through Amazon.com: Kindle Edition - File Size: 519 KB; | Expected Release Date: June 1, 2010 | Publisher: Griffyn Ink | Obtained: NetGalley

"Kelsey's Song" [The Wilder Books, Book 1] by Lanie Kincaid

My Book Summary : JD has been living in Nashville for a while now trying his hand at his dream of being in a famous band. As of right now ... he's in a really good band but they are still nowhere close to famous. However, he just recently got a major shock of his life ... he is also a father of a 5-year-old little girl, Andie, who he's never met before but since her mother recently past away he is now the legal guardian of. To make matters worse ... for him ... she is a terror and wants nothing to do with him.

That is how Kelsey and her children, Daniel & Allie, meet JD & Andie with her throwing a huge tantrum at him while at Target. Kelsey decides to help out the situation, and actually does seem to help the situation a bit. Then they go their separate ways.

However, not long after arriving home JD realizes that Kelsey lives in the house behind his condo, and they start to grow a friendship between them and they try to help each other in the challenges that arise between them about their kids. Months pass, and their friendship only gets that much stronger.

Nevertheless, when both of their hearts gets thrown into the mix, making them each wish that there was more then friendship between them, but neither knowing how to take that next step without ruining what they have already .... causes more then one thing to go wrong. Will JD & Andie be able to prove that the only thing they need more then anything is Kelsey and her kids in their lives, before the miscommunication between them makes, them change their minds on what they want.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! I've seen "Kelsey's Song" on my Amazon.com 'recommendations list' for a while now, and I am very happy I finally decided to read it!! This is a wonderful story about two people, JD & Kelsey, who are dealing with circumstances in their lives that they never planned and when they aren't sure how things could get any better they meet and teach each other just how to make their lives better for themselves!! JD & Kelsey were great main characters! I loved their relationship and easy friendship. Also, I really enjoyed reading about JD's band and everything that they go through to try to make it big.

However, Kelsey's personal back story is a little confusing, I mean I understand the major things but I think I'd rather have it laid out a bit more. Otherwise ... I really could not get enough of this story! Especially during the times when you just wanted to smack both of the main characters for their behavior, it never turned into a time where I got annoyed with them, since the story really flows, touches the issues/problems the characters are having and then moves on to the next thing.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes friendship turned romance stories!!

    Book Teaser(s) :
    Teaser #1
Cowboy hat? She didn’t think she’d ever seen any of them in a cowboy hat. She was on the verge of laughing until he was right beside her.
    “Nice hat.”
He looked sideways at where she still leaned against the pole. “Our big debut, and all you can say is ‘nice hat’?”
    “Yup.”
She rolled her head to the side to see him under the brim. “You guys were awesome. That doesn’t surprise me. The crowd loved you. Expected. Brenda came by, seems to think you’re the next big thing. Of course. But the hat --- the hat is a shock.” ~ within Chapter 9
