My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! In Mystic Harbor Vampires and Shifters are known enemies and it is forbidden for them to mate. However, once half-vampire Isabella and mountain lion shifter Ashton meet they find their connection undeniable and uncontrollable. Will they control the uncontrollable or will they embrace the unknown?

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced paranormal romance!! As this is the first novel I've read in this series, I found it involved enough to get a good grasp on the town while being completely standalone enough that you can enjoy it all by itself too. Ashton & Isabella's instant romance is enthralling in its intensity! They have such an instant attraction and connection (which is typical for the mate romances) that I couldn't help but like. Fun, thrilling, erotic this has it all!

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for a unique paranormal romance!

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This was a creative backwards take on the Cinderella story. Because while Cynthia (Cindy/Cinderella) might feel over looked in her family she loves her stepmother, her father (who's still alive), and her gorgeous twin stepsisters. However, she wants to finally make it on her own without the financial help from her stepmother, as her help includes a clause that her sisters need to “work” with her too. To have her own company she needs to have a successful event for Chad’s new organization Building Tomorrow. Yet as Cynthia gets everything just right for the event, she gets closer to Chad and learns that he might be the one to bring light into her life, while Chad learns that his mystery woman might have been under his nose all along…

Very sweet and entertaining. Especially interesting how the characters nicknamed her Cinderella she isn’t much of one, it’s more about girl power and Cynthia accepting the hand that fate dealt her and making the most of it all. With a kitty, instead of a shoe, to bring Cynthia & Chad together I was charmed. I liked how their relationship subtly grew and how Chad’s ten-year mystery was revealed.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a sweet contemporary romance!

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. Sarah has been living a shadow of her own life. Now that her domineering Grandmother has passed away, she plans to live life to the fullest. Her first step is to pick up a guy at the bar and have sex for the first time. However, after it's all said and done with one handsome stranger named Walker; she finds that he won't be much of a stranger after all. Will they be able to deal with the close proximity or give into temptation ... in more ways than one?

Even though I knew this was a novella prior to reading it I felt that the plot just doesn't flow right. At times the plot felt too rushed while at other times too slow, which made it difficult for me to really enjoy. But what held me to sticking with this novella and liking, as much as I did was Sarah. She was fearless this whole story through, especially when it came to finding out what life has in store for her and to not let another moment slip by. In addition, I liked how forthright she was about her love for Walker and Kayla. Sarah shows that even if she's being turned down she can own her love for them no matter the cost.

I only recommend this novella to those who are fans of this series and/or Ms. Yates.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! About six weeks after they first meet Daisy is back at Hawksley Castle in hopes of seeing Seb (Sebastian) and informing him that she's pregnant with his baby. After the shock wears off Seb surprises Daisy by asking her to marry him for the baby's sake. From that point on, they realize that what they both thought they needed in their lives in terms of a relationship and love was an illusion. Yet while they start to find happiness in each other will they be able to get around their defenses in order to see what they truly want is right in front of them?

This was an incredibly sweet novel about finding love in unexpected places. Seb and Daisy both come from well-known families but they both took their upbringing and lives dealing with journalistic scrutiny in different directions. Seb now tries to avoid publicity while Daisy deals with it and tries to see the positive sides to it. Together they find that they're able to balance each other out if only they'd be willing to lighten their loads with one another. I really liked them as a couple and I enjoyed how this novel's plot flowed so seamlessly.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a sweet contemporary romance!

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars!! Find out more about the Netherworld in this intense fast-paced novel. Heidi (a human) wants to get away from everything for a bit so she decides to go on a "wilderness vacation" with her best friend, Maggie. However, one misstep while running away from a bee has her captured by an angry group of fae, tied to a stake, and is set to be burned alive in the morning. All because the fae believe, Heidi's a witch even though she's not one. Liam (a dragon shifter) is in the fae realm so he can gather info on what they're up to, but once he sees Heidi all his plans change. Yet after he rescues her, will he be able to convince her to stay with him or will their differences force them to stay apart?

While I read "Up In Flames" (BOOK 2) in this series, hadn’t read "Once Bitten" (BOOK 1) yet, and didn't feel lost in the plot, I would still recommend reading this series in order so you'll understand its backstory a bit more. I liked how the plot transitioned and how Liam and Heidi's relationship grew. From the first time they see each other you can't deny that they have a remarkable connection. The more they interact with one another the stronger their connection grows; it was intriguing to read about. I really liked them together. In addition, it was interesting to read about "mates" in this series. I'm curious to see what will happen next.

I recommend this novel and series to those looking for a new take on the paranormal romance!!

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars!! Because of his grandfather's death--the man who raised him--Joseph (Joey) heads "home" to settle the estate. Once he gets there, he runs nose first into meeting his mate. Now he just needs to convince his prickly little mate that he's worthy of her trust, before the dangers of being who he is get in the way.

This was one mismatched set of mates that I thoroughly enjoyed reading about!! Joey and Katie seem different in every conceivable way but their hearts and "inner beasties" can't deny their connection even if for better or worse they want to at times. In truth, I enjoyed Katie and Joey together, along with its plot. I just wish I liked how it all wrapped up in the end better.

I recommend this novel to those looking for an entertaining paranormal romance!

Also, I kinda hoped that I could read a scene where Katie shifted but it wasn’t meant to be.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars!! Because of a health scare forcing his Uncle into retirement; Nathan (Nate) is finally becoming the CFO of the family business. However, that means not getting close to Allison (Alli) who is his Uncle's--now soon to be his--executive assistant, which will be hard since getting close is all he can think about. Even after learning that Allison is a single mom he still wants to get to know her more. But is this playboy willing to give up his footloose and fancy-free days for family life?

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was simply captivating in its plot especially in how it leads the reader through the novel. Then with the way, it subtly builds you up for other novels in this series ... Pretty awesome!

I found Allison and Nate to be an engaging couple, enjoyed them being together a lot. However, I felt their "official coming together moments" at the end to be a little forced. Overall, though, they made a great team and pair.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a flirty contemporary romance!!
