My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. Over the holiday season, Kenny (an ex-pro football player) and Bailey (a widowed mother) are thrown together because Mayor Marsha needs them to help the children’s FWM Sprouts with their holiday service project. In doing so, while it opens them up to a unique romance, it also brings up old trust issues from Kenny’s past. Will they be able to overcome their pasts and have a great future or will friends be the closest they’ll be able to get?

While I am a huge fan of Ms. Mallery’s Fool’s Gold Series, this one didn’t capture my interest as greatly as I hoped. However, it kept up with the series’ usual hype with updates from the other characters. In addition, I enjoyed getting to know Bailey, Kenny, and Chloe. They became a sweet family that was intriguing to read about.

Though it wasn’t my favorite novella in this series I did like it and would recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Mallery looking for a sweet holiday romance.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. Elena comes into maturity and discovers that her future is everything that she could ever want. But she will only get that choice if everything else falls into place the way she needs it too.

In truth, I wasn’t sure where this novel would lead us in the beginning, as Elena seemed very flighty. Nevertheless, as I stuck to the novel I found that it has a great base and set up. Elena has a group of friends that are very diverse and as she “matures,” she learns what it really means to “grow up” and be on your own. Along the way, she finds that her mate is really the one man she has had a crush on forever and finds a way to do her true dream job.

It’s a sweet erotic paranormal romance, which I recommend to anyone who is looking for that type of novel.

About the Authors :

Jennifer Blackwood is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She lives in Oregon with her husband, son, and poorly behaved black lab puppy. When not chasing after her toddler, you can find her binging on episodes of Gilmore Girls and Supernatural, and locking herself in her office to write.











Shae Ross was born and raised in Ferndale, Michigan. After graduating high school, Ms. Ross attended Michigan State University and continued her education at Detroit College of Law. Prior to 2014, she spent the majority of her career practicing corporate law, running a successful business and engaged in entrepreneurial ventures.

After having one too many stressful days at the office, Ms. Ross began to consider pursuing her lifelong dream of writing.
