My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, a woman who recently lost her husband has her life upended again when a creepy man keeps trying to pursue her, she's informed that she's a couple months pregnant, and told she is running low on funds. A friend of her late husband's comes to her rescue in more ways than one, but will she be able to agree to all he is asking of her...

It’s a sweet short story about overcoming loss, finding a possible new love, and putting your faith in God. What originally hooked me was the novella's cover, as it seemed fitting. What I found when reading this was a woman set up for bad circumstances but she still finds her own way through it all. I liked it, even though it seemed a little preachy at times. I think I'd have liked it more if it included Matthew's POV too. Nevertheless, it's a good quick read.

I know that this short story isn’t on Amazon at this moment (at least not the same way I purchased it) but I do recommend it to those looking for a very quick Christian romance if you can find it somewhere else.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, Christmas is Holly’s favorite time of year but she just learned her family has gotten a little bit fuller after she reads her father’s letter informing her of his sudden marriage and her new stepbrothers. However, she’s not going to let that throw her off, even after she learns that her latest advertising clients are her stepbrothers and they are in town to find out more about her. Therefore, she finds a way to retaliate Christmas-style. Only it all seems to backfire on her once she realizes they are dragon-shifters and she is actually their mate. Will she be able to handle all the upcoming life changes coming her way or will it all be too much?

I have read most of Ms. Blacio’s Stepbrothers Series and I have to say this one surprised me with its setup. Loaded with the Christmas-y spirit (surprising after Holly’s past comes out) and a new play on the “12 Days of Christmas” revenge style, I found this novel very entertaining and enjoyed learning about Holly, Darius, and Malcolm. Nevertheless, I found their relationship a bit forced and the beginning on the slower paced side, which made it hard for me to get into it, as I would have liked. Even so, it was Holly’s feistiness and how her men win her over that hooked me into this novel.

I recommend it to those looking for a paranormal romance that has a little erotic fun included that will get you into the holiday spirit too!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars!! It had always been Peyton’s plan to attend Fairfield Academy (instead of being homeschooled) once she reached her Freshman year of high school. However, coming down with an unexpected illness not long before she began the school year definitely was not in her plan. Therefore, she begins at Fairfield Academy once she is in recovery during the middle of her Freshman year, which is the same day she meets Justin (all-round Fairfield Academy hottie, player, and baseball player). They come from completely different worlds but they are drawn together and fall into a sort-of relationship quickly. Yet, when things get tough, Justin makes a plan to brake them up. Yet, though Justin’s plan works and he goes back to his player ways, he regrets it more than anything else. So, during the last month, or so, of their Senior year when Peyton and Justin get thrown together for a school project Justin plans on laying it all on the line to win Peyton back for good. But will he be too late?

This touching sweet YA romance, will leave you reeling one moment and then contentedly rooting for Justin and Peyton the next. Unexpectedly charming. There was no point when I hated either Justin or Peyton, they were such good characters, and their backstories made me feel for both of them. The depth of this novel intrigued me so much I had a tough time putting it down.

Justin and Peyton’s attraction, instant connection, and camaraderie were what won me over. Then adding in Peyton’s attitude towards Justin when their project begins gave the novel an entertaining twist that gets the reader immersed in their “relationship” from the beginning. They may look like opposites, because of their family backgrounds and where they live, but at the core of who they are, they seem to have a lot of similarities. It made me happy to see them coming together after so long being apart. Especially since, once they start to working out their issues between themselves they help each another to overcome the fears that have been holding them back from their desires and each other, which all creates a great ending.

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for a compassionate YA romance!

Filled with romance, rivalry, and passive-aggressive dog walking, Amy Spalding delivers a hilariously relatable high school story that's sure to have you falling for "The New Guy."

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars. Jules (Julia) has had her senior year all planned out for a long time. So, when Alex (a well-known ex-boy band member) starts at her school and begins to act interested in her, her organized world turns into organized chaos. But will Jules be able to roll with the punches or will Alex be the one curveball she won't be able to avoid?

Definitely not, what I expected as it had romance yet was based around a school rivalry between Jules and her academic enemy. While being back to school Jules received her dream of becoming editor of the high school paper, except she is very smart and harsh about herself, which makes her feel like nothing she does would be good enough for those that she loves. Being this way has made her strive for perfection in herself and the world around her, even though perfection isn't possible.

Though Jules neuroticness is annoying at times and the way her mind works is both jaw-dropping, while makes me cringe because I can be that obtuse at times too, I appreciated her as a character. Both Alex and Jules had a realness to them that was commendable and charming because you could see that they both were not putting on false pretenses when it came to one another. Even though they seem like an unusual match and, even though I've read this novel, to me they still do it was Jules' intensity and naiveté along with the way Alex seemed to appreciate her major quirks that had me rooting for them. They are both odd ducks in a way that just works.

I recommend it to those looking for a contemporary YA dramatic novel that has a bit of romance in the mix.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! All of Lana’s life she has felt like an outsider, but after dealing with her mysterious illness that happens monthly (around the time of the new moon) for the past seven years she feels more out of place than usual. However, after learning that her doctors had plans on institutionalizing her she has been on the run trying to stay ahead of those planning to kidnap her.

While stopping to get some supper in Reno, Lana unwittingly meets Adam (a werewolf and the heir to his Pack) who is dealing with getting his enemies (the jaguars) out of his territory and had planned to kill her too as she was unknowingly his enemy, a jaguar. That is before realizing she is his mate. Together they try to maneuver their new world while dealing with those against their relationship at all sides and those still coming after Lana. Will they be able to overcome it all, while staying together or will be their struggles to much for them?

This addicting novel hooked me from the beginning. With Lana’s sass and Adam’s charming determination the sparks flew and ignited the urge for me to keep reading, so…. I finished it in less than 24 hrs. I loved the setup of this novel, it is enticing and intriguing to learn about the mystery of who Lana is and her growing relationship with Adam. In addition, the ending was good enough to give you a satisfying HEA while leaving the reader wanting more.

I recommend this novel and series to those looking for an engaging paranormal romance!

My Book Review : 2.5 out of 5 stars. Dixie is a half-human sex demon who is on the run with her best friend because her father recently married an angel. As angels are typically her enemies, so she is running scared. What she doesn't know is that her new "relatives" don't want to hurt her at all and it'll take her stepbrother mates to prove it to her...

This novel was not as good as I'd hoped. Nevertheless, this fast-paced erotic paranormal romance was quite entertaining in its own way. That is why I still recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Blacio and/or looking for a quick paranormal Valentine's Day read!

My Book Review : 5 out of 5 stars! Ever since Kedah was a young boy, he has been aware of his family’s rigid standards and the precarious nature of him becoming the Crown Prince he is supposed to be. Over the years, he grew into a man who cares deeply for his country but turned into a self-made billionaire playboy to ensure he was in control of his future. Now with his grandfather finally passed, he is the official Crown Prince, and he knows that soon the Accession Council will probably meet to overthrow him to his younger brother. Therefore, he brings in Felicia (a renowned PR representative) to become his London PA. During their time together, they grow closer than they typically do to others and soon the lines are blurring between their personal lives and business relationship. Then just when the Accession Council decides to go forward with their plans to thwart Kedah, Felicia gets a curve ball of her own … will they be able to deal with all the issues being thrown their way and still manage a “working relationship” or will everything come to a head and ruin their best laid plans.

Endearing. Spicy. Erotic. With a whole lot of sass. It was easy to enjoy this fast-paced contemporary romance that entices its readers into wanting to find out about Kedah’s parentage as much as he does. Then with it throwing in the elusive Felicia, this novel gets a WHOLE lot hotter!

While both Kedah and Felicia are very domineering, I find it intriguing in the way their relationship grew from co-workers to lovers with the possibility of something more. I couldn’t get enough of them as a duo. The heat between them rises off its pages.

I HIGHLY recommend this novel to those looking for an erotic contemporary romance!

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, two broken souls meet at a doctor's conference in Spain, and though their meant two only share a one-nightstand, it seems to feel like something more. Yet, with past heartache holding them back, will they be willing to moving on to something new... even when fate gives them no chose...

An endearing read that shows the depths you'll go for those you love. While I found the beginning to be a bit slow and the ending good but a little rushed, what really hooked me was the intense chemistry that Dominic and Cat share. Together they struggle in opening up and trusting again but really they find the one person who understands them more than they'd have ever dreamed. Therefore, while I wasn't a fan of Dominic's arrogant self in the beginning, I enjoyed how he (and Cat) opened up (to each other and the reader) as this novel progressed. It was all very heartwarming and sweet.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a meaningful contemporary romance.
