Port Discover's What Will You Do, Dr. Goo?
On Friday, July 2, 2010 I filmed Port Discover & Arts of the Albemarle's Center Players' performance called 'What Will You Do, Dr. Goo?'
Performance Description: It's an original play written and directed by Cheryl Blackwelder. About when Dr. Goo is given a secret formula by his arch nemesis, Ms. Evil, the good doctor must use the Scientific Method to save himself before he is turned into...a Flubbity-Wubber! The program was designed especially for elementary-aged scientists and presented by the middle and high school members of the Center Players.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE TIME!!!
Are you good at creating gingerbread houses?? Truthfully I don't remember if I am or not since it has been sucha long time since I have created one ... but if you are into that type of thing and your in or around Elizabeth City, NC then don't forget to sign up for the Gingerbread House contest!! Definitely if you're interested then call TODAY since their announcing the winners tomorrow at the Holiday on the Harbor event.The picture to the right is some of the houses that have been submitted already. Summer is Here!!!
Elizabeth City feels like it's on the sun today ... well at least to me with the 90+ degree weather we have outside. And from what EC NC Weather is saying I don't think it's going to be getting cooler anytime soon.

- Opening June 6th is Splash - Artists Judy Abrahams, Judy Bauman & Carolyn Peel at the Arts of the Albemarle Gallery. Which from what I here will be quite a display .. since these artists have been taught by artist Jane Filer!! For more info please call the AOA Gallery at 252-338-6455.
- From June 6th - 8th is the Elizabeth City 300' National Truck & Tractor Pull!! Held at Morgan's Corner (North of Elizabeth City). Every year they hold quite a show!! Great for the family! FMI please call 252-264-3640.
- On June 7th & 8th is the 3rd Annual Carolina Cup Regatta!! This is a great for the whole family ... exciting races, children's activities, vendors, and more!! FMI please call 252-339-0795.
