Made the Grade: Incredible Dreams by Sandra Edwards

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 288 KB | Release Date: August 2010 | Publisher: Sandra Edwards

"Incredible Dreams" by Sandra Edwards

My Book Summary : Ever since her parents died when she was a little girl, Isabelle (Izzy), has been able to see dead people, talk to them and help them pass over. Over the years she has made a name for herself as being a ghost-whisperer, and recently she was asked to "exterminate" an old Air Force facility that is being bought, but the new owners want it without any ghosts. However, as soon as she sets foot into the abandoned hanger and meets the spirit, named Jack, she finds herself drawn to him more so then she could ever imagine ....

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars, this was a very cute novel!! I liked the relationship between Jack and Izzy! The writing was unique and entertaining. I, myself, wish that the ending happened in the here instead of the then but I do like how the author was able to wrap everything together.

Book Teaser(s) :
"Any idea what year it is?"
Her brow furrowed and her eyes darkened before settling back on the physician. "No."
"Not even a guess?"
"I have no idea."
"How about 1946? How does that sound?"
"Crazy." Her expression shifted from annoyance to doubt to fear. The exchange chased an apprehensive shiver down Jack’s backside. ~ within Chapter 6
She slowed her pace and Jack did the same. After a couple of steps, Izzy’s nerves eased a bit. "If Johnny and Sarah can do it, so can we." Determination swelled inside her. Izzy threw her shoulders back and walked a little taller.
"Pardon me?" With a curious squint Jack studied her face, obviously surprise by her statement.
"You know. The Dead Zone." She quickened her step a beat or two. "Johnny wakes up from a four-year coma and his fiancé—I think she was his fiancé—is married to another man."
Jack let out an exasperated sigh. "What?"
"Well, it’s not exactly like us, but...we can follow their lead and put our feelings aside, out of respect for the sanctity of marriage." While her words might sound convincing, Izzy knew they were a load of crap. ~ within Chapter 17

My Book Summary : Just when things are starting to look up for Belle, she finds that her fiancé, Rome, doesn't have any recollection of who she is after coming back from a mission where all of his memories of her were stolen. Also, taking advantage of the circumstances Rome's ex-wife tries to win him back, especially since the last thing he seems to remember is being with her. While all of this personal drama is going on Belle seems to be loosing control of her powers, she finds that she has more people after her then she first thought, and now she has a secret admirer.

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars!! I love Belle & Rome in the first book and this just sealed my love for them in this one!!! I really hope there's a book 3 since I could not get enough and I just wanted to find out what would happen to them and their friends next!!

"Very funny. Don't look, but I think we're being followed."
"What! By whom?" She immediately twisted in her seat, peering out the back window.
"I said don't look. Jeez!"
She turned, facing front and going stiff as a poker. "What should I do?" she asked, her voice shaking. With fear? Excitement?
"Just...I don't know." ~ within Chapter 13

Publication Released Date: May 3, 2011

    Author's Book Description:
Follow your heart...no matter where it takes you.

Scott Abrams is the love of Brooke’s life. He just doesn’t know it yet. So when his family moves to New York City the summer before senior year, Brooke decides to take a chance and move in with her estranged father in NYC. This is her last chance to prove to Scott that they’re meant to be together.

But the city is full of surprises that Brooke never expected. Ever since a painful family trauma, she’s been closed off to her parents, to her friends, and even to herself. Now, inspired by the thrilling energy of the bustling and creative city around her, Brooke begins to discover a side of herself she never knew existed. And as she finds out, in the city that never sleeps, love can appear around any corner...

I usually love the books that this author writes about so I am excited to see what she has in-store next! However, I'm also curious as to what will happen between these two characters .... and I wonder how a girl supposedly in her senior year can just up and move? Hmmmm ... I think my curiosity will get the better of me until I'm able to read this book. =0)

"Wolf Tracks" [Granite Lake Wolves, Book 4] by Vivian Arend

My Book Summary : Things are finally going to look up for TJ, the Alpha's clumsy younger brother, during his friend's wedding just as long as he doesn't mess anything up.

Pam is attending her best friend's wedding as the maid of honor and has plans to let loose and enjoy her vacation/trip while she has the chance. She's the type of gal that has fun with guys but doesn't get into anything too serious. However, once she meets the best man, TJ, something inside her awakens and now whenever they are in the same location she can't seem to take her eyes off of him. Even though she doesn't typically go for younger guys, soon she finds the attraction is mutual and they seem not be able to get enough of each other.

TJ never expected to find his mate, let alone at his friend's wedding, and her being a HUMAN! So, when he finds that Pam is planning on attending one of his brother's outdoor group tours he takes advantage of the situation by "kidnapping" her to get alone time. And even though he's breaking tons of pack rules he just can't find the courage or worry to care. But will Pam agree? Or will she be able to accept TJ and his secrets?

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! I loved reading about TJ as a main character he is just so sweet! And seeing/reading about him trying to romance Pam .... I just couldn't get enough! =0)

"The kidnapping? Forget it. I tried to get upset, but somewhere at about the fifteenth orgasm all my ability to be freaked out seemed to float away."
"You haven't come that many times."
She laughed softly. "Well, then, you'd better get busy, hadn't you?"
He moved closer, wrapped an arm behind her and let her lean against him. "Tonight. Right now, enjoy the view. I know I am."
"You're not even looking around." Pam flushed. The man never seemed to take his eyes off her. "You're staring again." ~ within Chapter 6

Made the Grade: Valentino's Love-Child by Lucy Monroe

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 210 KB | Release Date: May 2009 | Publisher: Harlequin Presents

    "Valentino's Love-Child" by Lucy Monroe

My Book Summary : Faith & Valentino (Tino) both have had hard times in their lives that have lead them to where they are and their unique relationship. However, even though they both agreed to a exclusive but quite relationship to a point that Faith could be called Tino's mistress (not that he would dare call her that to her face), they've agreed that they are friends but they don't plan on going any further then that.

Well ... things are about to change when Faith finds out she's pregnant! She is so excited since she wasn't sure if she would ever be able to conceive again. However, she's scare to tell Tino since even though she knows that he will love the child, she also knows that he will insist that they marry, and she doesn't want to marry him or anyone without love. Plus, Tino has told her before that no matter how much he cares for her things between them won't get anymore committed. Will Tino change his tune? Will Faith do what she feels is right or will she do what's best for the baby?

My Book Review : 3.8 out of 5 stars!! I know it's an unusual scoring but this book was SOOOO much better then "Made the Grade" but not quite a "Feasted On." =0) I really loved the twists and turns in this book from Faith's relationships with Tino's family that he wasn't aware of to how they decide to work out their situation.

It makes me all giddy just thinking about it!! *heheee*

Made the Grade: Dark Series, Book 21

Format: Hardcover | Pages: 342 | Release Date: August 2010 | Publisher: Berkley

"Dark Peril" [Dark Series, Book 21] by Christine Feehan

My Book Summary : Dominic is a Dragonseeker, a powerful Carpathian warrior, who will do anything to protect his family and the Carpathian people. Even if it means ingesting parasitic infested vampire blood to get in behind enemy lines, find out what their plans are, and then go down fighting. However, he never expected to find his lifemate while in the mists of his plans.

Solange is one of the last of her kind -- part jaguar, part human and a 100% royal pureblood -- she will do anything in her power to save the woman of her species that are being beaten and abused by the hands of her father (the ruler of the jaguar people) and the men that follow him. Her plans also include finding a way to kill her father, a man who slaughtered her whole family, by any means possible.

For the past couple of months Dominic and Solange have been having dreams of one another, thinking that the other person wasn't real. However, they suddenly find out that isn't true when Solange runs into and aids Dominic while he is fighting some vampires while in South American jungle.

Will they decide to stay on their paths which might end up killing one or both of them? Or will they decide being together no matter what is better then being separated for good?

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, not quite what I expected but I still enjoyed this latest novel in the Dark series. Basically what got me so into this book is that I usually like 'shifter' characters and I really liked how Solange was worked into the Carpathian world. I'm curious as to what the future will hold after Solange and Dominic's secret comes out (if it comes out) to the Carpathian community.

Dominic didn't protest, but he was never going to allow such a risk to her again. Fighting vampires was one thing, but walking into the very fangs of a Carpathian on the verge of turning was something altogether different. His heart was still pounding, the sound drumming in his veins. He looked at her, this woman who was such a miracle to him. ~ within Chapter 10
