My Book Review : ** Book Disclaimer ** When I purchased "Fall Into Me" I believed it was a novel because of what Ms. Wild had at the end of the book description. It said this… “Fall Into Me is a full-length romance novel. This special ebook edition contains a few extra surprises for my loyal readers!”

In addition, in Amazon’s product details it stated "Fall Into Me" Print Length: 338 pages. SO … what was I supposed to think other than what the information was true. However, I was wrong as the last sentence in the product description held the most truth. In all actuality when I purchased "Fall Into Me" it was published all with SIX additional novellas … so instead of this being a FULL LENGTH novel this is actually an ANTHOLOGY.

For "Fall Into Me"…

2.5 out of 5 stars. After a wild night (that they both cannot completely recall) in Las Vegas, Elizabeth (Liz) and Julian find their world turned upside down. Julian’s manager (Tessa) has BIG plans on spinning all the publicity in “workable” ways but what no one expects is the attraction between Elizabeth and Julian to turn into something more. Yet, just when they were starting to build their lives together, someone in Julian’s lives sets their sights in tearing them apart at all costs.

While the beginning hooked me and I found the ending sweet, it was the middle that had me pissed off during one moment and wanting to bang my head against the wall the next. I just REALLY wish Julian got his head out of his ass sooner. I mean I KNOW Tessa was Julian’s only source of “friendship” or support system but to not even confirm what he heard/saw with Elizabeth REALLY irritated me. I mean COME ON and get a clue .... If you like someone that much, let alone have a CHILD with them, you DON’T just cut and run after the first accusation ... YOU FIND OUT THE TRUTH. Yet ... it is ONLY because of Julian and Elizabeth’s connection that I stuck with this novella from beginning to end. Though even how their relationship was laid out was kind of confusing (like when Elizabeth talked about adoption for about half of a chapter but then she never mentions it again).

Overall, I cannot recommend this novella. But if you are still willing to read this novella it is for those looking for a rockstar romance.

My Book Review :

4.5 out of 5 stars!! During an “inconspicuous” visit to a local burger joint, Christian, the bassist for the famous rock band Caged, meets Melody (Mel). Their meeting is very unceremonious (except the fact that Melody gets fired) but when they unexpectedly meet up again at a local college’s science library their shared interests spark a fire in one another that explodes into something more. Yet even though they both know the score, will they want to give one another up when the time comes to finally go their separate ways?

This is a heartwarming tale. 💖 It kept me intrigued from the very beginning with the grouchy Minnie Mouse and silly Batman, then even more so with the way Christian became undoubtingly hooked on Melody and her snarky ways. In addition... [READ MY FULL REVIEW, TWO TEASERS, BOOK PREVIEW & MORE]

About the Author :

So…Who is Jayne?

As a writer you would think that would be a simple question…but it’s not. I spend so much time living in my characters heads, listening to their voices, that sometimes I forget about my own.

I guess I should start with the basics: the backstory. I was born and raised in California. At this point, I’m usually asked what it was like to grow up near the beach, but sadly, I don’t know. I grew up in the “other” part of California. Perfect for an aspiring writer, if you ask me. You learn a lot about keeping yourself busy when the nearest house is a mile away…and it belongs to your grandparents.

I spent all my time with my nose in a book, living vicariously through the characters, until I wrote a book of my own. I was ten at the time. It was a scintillating piece that cast the family pet as the protagonist.

By the time I went to high school, I moved on to romance. Why? Because I met my very own prince charming. I wrote love poems in my journal about the green-eyed boy who stole my heart. He promised, the way all storybook heroes do, to sweep me away and take me on a grand adventure. And he did.

We picked up and moved to the Lone Star State and began the story of us. The best stories begin without a road map or a compass. Veering off course makes the journey so much more interesting.

True to form, just when I thought my life was set, we started the next adventure. I traded in my cowboy boots and followed my green-eyed boy to Las Vegas. My home will always be in Texas, but my heart is anywhere that he is. Our beautiful daughter made the journey with us. Our son stayed in Texas, to write his own story.

Somehow, in the midst of the chaos that is our life, I find time to write. Writing is what I love. I might stray from romance every now and then if that is what moves me…but I always come back. Some of the stories don’t seem romantic at all. They are gritty stories about flawed characters that find each other and hold on tight. Those are the stories that speak to me. Because that’s life. I believe that every story should have a happy ending—even the difficult ones.

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars!! Katie (Kathryn) has been called a free-spirit most of her life, though the term wasn’t one of endearment and it was something she always tried to curb because of her parents domineering ways. Therefore, when she meets Vance it is under the guise of trying to have him sign a contract so she’ll have the rights to use his house and land in one of her father’s upcoming movie productions as an attempt to get into good light with her Dad. Yet what seems so simple at first, turns into controlled chaos when Vance and Katie get into another arrangement all together. Now with their lives pushed together, they find shared common ground, shared passions, but what will happen with them once their deadline arrives and their arrangement ends? Will they find that being together is truly where their hearts are at, or is moving on best for the both of them?

An unexpected delight that knocked me out of left field. I had been hearing about this novel non-stop for a while, and because I really enjoyed Ms. Summers’ "Not So New In Town" (Book 2), I was excited to check this novel out too. Yet though it had the charming dynamic, I anticipated from a Ms. Summers novel I was surprised when the plot hits you sideways and takes you on a ride that you didn’t foresee coming. All in all, after the paced picked up after the beginning, I became enchanted with this story of “women power” and having Katie find that true family is one who cares for you no matter what, even if they aren’t blood related.

Although I say all of that, Pirate Man and California Cupcake, i.e. Vance and Katie REALLY steal the show. It’s not just their instant attraction or the way they ARE the main characters, I mean they both have a vivacious quality about them they was compelling to read about; even during times when I struggled reading through parts. In addition, I liked how both Vance and Katie turned around their circumstances, which from my perspective made them both very powerful characters. It doesn’t hurt that they are just perfect for one another … I mean … come on. 😉

What also sealed the deal for this novel, for me, was being back in Harmony, North Carolina. It has a crazy cast of characters, yes, but you cannot help but wish you could find a way to visit all of them too. PLUS, the updates on the previous characters were fun too!

Overall, I recommend this novel to those who are fans of the Harmony Homecomings Series, fans of Ms. Summers, and/or are looking for a quirky contemporary romance!

This is a heartwarming tale. 💖 It kept me intrigued from the very beginning with the grouchy Minnie Mouse and silly Batman, then even more so with the way Christian became undoubtingly hooked on Melody and her snarky ways. In addition, I loved the way Ms. Frost integrated the other important secondary characters from her Sixth Street Bands Series into “Fall With Me” giving us fun updates while letting us get more info about some characters we still are learning about.

What sealed my enjoyment about this novel the most was Melody and Christian, of course. From how they shared the same intellectual passions to how they never let their different living situations bother them to how they ended up truly caring for one another … I was enchanted! Christian and Melody are such a great pair that I wish I could get to read more about them somehow. Their novel is a “nerdy” rockstar romance and they make it just so sweet.

I recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Frost and/or are looking for a unique spicy contemporary rockstar romance.

Also, though it’s part of a series this novel can be read as a standalone too. 😉

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! When they were younger Silas and Rose were inseparable. They were each other's secret friends and confidants while they dreamed of running away and marrying one another. Yet that all came crashing down after Silas marries his neighbor Annie in hopes of saving his family's farm instead. Now three years later, Silas is a widower and Rose's reputation has been questioned more than once because of her new son. But as circumstances bring their lives back together again will they reconcile their pasts in hopes for a future together or will everything between them be too much to overcome?

This was a novel about receiving and accepting redemption from past sins. The depth that Rose goes through to make sure everyone around her was cared for truly touched me. In addition, Milly's relationship with Rose was so sweet. What can I say other than, I was charmed!

Then when you throw in Silas and Rose's rocky past and how difficult their new start together is, makes it hard not to root for the two of them to be together. As the relationship, that they shared was one that would last through just about anything IF they planned to stick it out no matter what.

I recommend this to those wanting a sweet historical Christian romance.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. Looking to take a little brake Natalie (Nat) took a weekend vacation to Las Vegas with her two best friends for a girls getaway, only to end up at an exclusive party the first night and get ditched by her friends. Yet, things start to look up after she catches the eye of Noah the lead singer of a hot rock band Wilde & Wicked. Sparks fly and soon what was meant to be a just a wild weekend turns into something a whole lot more … but is the infatuation all one-sided?

Steamy and sweet. This quick read leaves you wanting more but satisfied with the sweet way it all wraps up. I recommend it to those looking for a steamy rockstar romance novella!

My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars!! All of Marne's life it has been her and her brother against the world. Then not long after they both escape their life of slavery, Marne got turned into a harbinger (a thing of death) yet her brother sorta saves her .... now years later while still running away from Marne's "marker" she finds herself moving into another life changing situation that could either make or break her. Will she be able to overcome everything while creating a future for herself that she never dared to dream of before?

This enthralling novel hooked me from the beginning. Even though I haven't read all of this series I wasn't lost as Marne's situation as it is plainly laid out. I liked this novel that was full of women power and how Marne comes into her own "maturity." Plus, I enjoyed the subtle romance that blooms between Marne and Asher. It was very sweet.

Though my only wish for this novel is that Asher and Marne's storyline didn't end as abruptly as it did, I would definitely recommend this novel to those who are fans of this series, fans of Ms. Edwards, and/or those looking for a unique fantasy romance.
