Elizabeth City 300 Truck and Tractor Pull @ Morgan’s Corner Pulling Park

This Truck and Tractor Pull happened in June 2013, while I still worked at the Elizabeth City Convention & Visitors Bureau, at Morgan’s Corner Pulling Park. Though I have great footage (at least I think so) I didn't note all the names who pulled so that is why they aren't marked on the video. Nevertheless, check out the Closed Captioning to read what I am hearing the announcers say if you think that'll help you understand them better. I hope you'll enjoy!

For Christmas 2014 I found this create your own penguin set (it had about 20 of them) so after talking it over with my 3-yr-old she decided that she would put them together as her Christmas gifts to her relatives. Below are shots of her at work:

Books & Animals Just Don't Mix...

Okay, since my husband and I are moving in about 2-3 months so I'm trying to get through my TBR pile that I've had for a while. Therefore, I decided to start reading Jacquelyn Frank's "SEDUCE ME IN DREAMS" last night and this is what I found ....

Now I will admit that I knew that it was bitten before I picked it up, since it was at my local library's seasonal book sale, but I just didn't realize how bad it was until yesterday. Thankfully, the previous owner was nice enough to hang onto the 6 torn up corners that I found stuck in the middle of the novel but I needed to tape up/reenforce a little over 25 other pages too. *shakes head*

I guess the pet found "SEDUCE ME IN DREAMS" mighty tasty! *hehee* Now that it's all put together I hope I'll like it just as much! =0)

Port Discover's Window of Wonder :: Black Swallowtail

Hi all ... since June 2010 I've been working as the Operations Manager at Port Discover in Elizabeth City, NC. Recently my co-worker has started a display in one of our windows, now called the "Window of Wonder", and right now, we have some Black Swallowtail Caterpillars on display. We're hoping to watch their lifecycle so we'll get to see them turn from caterpillars into butterflies!
