Check your local bookstores since you may or may not be able to get Elizabeth Scott's new book right now.

I say this because ..... I have pre-ordered Elizabeth Scott's latest book called "The Unwritten Rule" last week (since Elizabeth along with everyone else said it would be released on March 16th) ... so I went into my local bookstore today to pick it up (along with another book that just came out) and they told me that the release date isn't until April 6th or at least they aren't able to sell it to me until then. =0/ So, if you have yet to pick up your copy then I recommend you calling your local bookstore to see when they'll be getting it in.

I mean, at least I'm getting the book at some point so I'm not upset about the situation at all but it kinda stinks all the same. =0P

Anyway ... if you have it already ... you lucky dog you. *hehee*

4 out of 5 stars! This is the first book I've read from this series and I am a little addicted already to how the author shaped the tale. I hope the others are just as good. I loved Dayan & Corinne as a couple! They were soo cute! Great plot! I liked how the writing flowed from one persons thoughts to the next like you were watching a movie - very clever!

"Bending the Rules" [Sisterhood Diaries Series, Book 2] by Susan Andersen -- Jase is a 'don't bend or brake the rules' kind of detective. He has to be with his family history of living in and out of the slammer, so he knows what it takes to stay on that straight and narrow path. And one of those is staying away from Poppy. Jase believes her to be a rich girl who really doesn't do a lot with her life. But in reality Poppy grew up in a hippie commune and does more for underprivileged teenagers then she does for herself. When a group of teens tag the buildings of the businesses that Poppy works for, she asks that instead of sending the teens to juvie have them fix up the buildings by painting them again and creating a mural in a group that she'll monitor. Now that it's been approved and Detective Jase is told to keep tabs on the group too, how long will they be able to stay apart for?

1.5 out of 5 stars! Good plot! I liked some of the characters. However .... I was so bored with it I couldn't finish the book ... I ended it on page 224. The novel had to many subplots that it makes it overly slow. Then when I put the book down for the night or whatever it could take a full day or so just for me to get back to it again ... and that was only because I was forcing myself to try to finish it.

You might have better luck and actually like the book ... but it definitely was not the book for me.

"My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult -- It is about the Fitzgerald family and how they deal and have dealt with one of their children living with and hoping to beat cancer. The thing is though when they first realize what is wrong with their young daughter, instead of waiting for a donor to come along for her they decide on having another child whom would be a perfect genetic match for her, and in doing so they have Anna. Anna is now thirteen and has gone through countless surgeries and procedures in attempt to help save her sister, but the time has come where she says she's had enough. So, she sells her locket, talks to a lawyer, and sues her parents for the rights to her own body. The only question now is how much more can this family take and will this act of freedom/survival (or whatever you want to call it) tare this family apart?

5 out of 5 stars! Written from the point-of-view of everyone involved with this case made me love the book even more. For anyone who would like to read a story about the love family's can share. It was touching ... moving ... made me cry like a baby ... and I would definitely read it again!

Likenesses Between the Movie & Book:
  • They both made me cry like a baby at the end of them!
  • Both portrayed the touching relationships between the characters.
Differences Between the Movie & Book:
  • They have different endings from each other.
    • Truthfully I like both the movie and the book and their endings ... and it could be because I read the book in July of 2009 and I just watched the movie ... but I liked the book's ending better.
  • The courtroom scene is different in the movie compared to the book.
    • Again I liked the book's scene better
That's just me though ... you might like the movie's version better. *shrug* Either way .. comment and let me know what you thought of either or both of them.

Just a little change, Small to say the least, Both a little scared, Neither one prepared ...

Pages: 386 | Release Date: August 18, 2009

"Dreamfever" [Fever Series, Book 4] by Karen Marie Moning -- Mac starts finally getting answers to some of the questions that have been haunting her. She learns a bit about whom her birth mother was, the illusive Lord Master divulges to her about his relationship with her sister, and she starts growing into her sidhe-seer senses.

However, when she learns more about the prophesy (which seems everyone but her knows the details about), she finds that she’s scared to grow more into her sidhe-seer senses as some say she might end up dooming the world instead of saving it.

In addition, during a time when Barrons is saving Mac they get closer, the only problem is he’s still not giving up his secrets (especially the details of whom or what he is) and that could break their partnership for good.

4.5 out of 5 stars!! Karen just kept pulling out all the stops in this novel, making it highly action packed! I will say that I was sad at the very end and I hope that everything gets fixed at the beginning of the next book. *crossing fingers* I cannot wait for "Shadowfever" (the final fifth novel) to come out in December 2010!
