Where You'll Land by Jacqueline Simon Gunn / @DrJSimonGunn | #GuestPost, Spreading the Word, & #BookSale

Today I'm showing off Jacqueline Simon Gunn's "Where You'll Land," a post that she originally shared on her website here, and her novel's Preorder Book Sale happening on Amazon's Kindle!! Links to get a copy for yourself are down below!

[Where You'll Land Series, Book 1]
by Jacqueline Simon Gunn
Author's Book Description :
- After a bad breakup, I packed up my life and moved to Miami to study for my doctorate in psychology. I made one promise to myself: Do not get romantically involved while I was in school. I needed to heal.
And then Will Easton came into my life. He was warm and sweet and intelligent. And he got me. What I didn’t know was that Will was running from a tragedy of his own.
When you try to escape your past without confronting your emotions, you repeat those same past patterns over and over. And that’s just what happened to Will and me, along with a few others who got swept up into the storm that was our relationship. Then came the awful secret. The one that changed everything.
Sometimes the most painful relationships are the ones that help us grow into who we are and to find the love we had been searching for all along.
Which begs the question: Can we choose who we love?

All of these affiliate links are obvious as to which ones they are. **
My Q&A with Jacqueline Simon Gunn :
Jess : Which usually comes first for you, the character(s), story or the idea for the novel?
Jacqueline : Before I even begin writing a book, I usually have a vague sense of the story and the underlying themes I’d like to explore. When I actually start pounding the keyboard, I begin with the development of my main characters, holding the story in the back of my mind, but letting the characters sort of take over the direction. It’s like being a passenger. I’m there, but I’m not driving once we get going.

Her first book The Bridge of Deaths revolves around her maternal grandfather's death in 1939. A true-life pre-WWII event. It has over 200 footnotes with the resources of her extensive search through Archival materials as well as the use of psychometry and past life regressions. It is more fact than fiction.
The revised edition of The Bridge of Deaths; A love Story and a Mystery focuses on the story-line as opposed to fact, but all footnotes and facts are available through the website for any curious minds. http://www.thebridgeofdeaths.com
Defined by Others taps into the dark quirky side found even in the best of people. With the 2012 American elections as a backdrop and the fearless reassurance that the world might end on December 12, 2012, as predicted by the Mayan Calendar.
Death of a Sculptor; in Hue, Shape, and Color is a novella written in sixteen different voices. It is a murder mystery. She is currently working on a sequel; Bruce (title subject to change).
M.C.V. Egan lives and works in South Florida. She loves cooking and crafting. She is married and has a son. Aside from writing Astrology is one of her passions and careers she pursues.
You can find M.C.V. Egan everywhere online

A Love Letter to Book Bloggers by @benreadsbooks | #BookBloggers Fangirling #GuestPost
Yes BookTube is an important venue for Authors, however Book Bloggers have been around for generations and we do not plan on going away. So I truly appreciate Ben of Benreadsbooks & BenReadsBooks trying in bring everyone together in his own way. I did comment on Ben's tweet and no I do not know if or when he'll mention my blog ... or if he'll mention it at all. That is fine. I would love the support but it is not needed. I have come to terms with how much "support" I will get over the years and in truth I get more support from authors than I have from supporters or followers. It is why I do what I do and why I have created a small business in assisting authors the best I can.
Please watch Ben's video below. If you are a book blogger be sure to comment on Ben's tweet too.

A Fixer Upper is RIGHT
This weekend I tried reading "The Fixer Upper" by Mary Kay Andrews. I mean the product description of it sounded so cute. It's about a girl named Dempsey, who is a lobbyist from Washington DC, and suddenly is thrown into a huge scandal and is pretty much thrown under the bus. So, her dad tells her about a family home that is in desperate need of repair that he just inherited, which he would like her to fix up since she has no prospects and he's not going to give her any money without working for it. So, she moves into this house and starts fixing it up ... finding a unique distant cousin along the way, a town where everyone knows your business, and some gentlemen who would like to get involved with Dempsey. However, she still cannot get to far away from the mess in DC.I mean with that type of book ... what more can a girl ask for? But I was wrongly advised! *blah* I mean it sounded cute ... and at the beginning of the book it started out okay but I barreled on thinking and hoping it would get better. And I was sorely mistaken. =0( The book was slower then slow. Dempsey couldn't make up her mind and for someone who was supposed to have gone to law school ... I just thought the character would have been better. *shakes head* I give it 1 out of 5 stars.
However, you might have better luck then me reading it ... who knows? So, if you'd like to find out what others say about this book or find out more about Mary Kay Andrews' other books, then check out her website.

Cover Reveal - The Virgin and the Viscount by Robyn DeHart / @RobynDeHart | Spreading the Word @XpressoTours @entangledpub
The Virgin and the Viscount
Robyn DeHart
Published by: Entangled Scandalous
Publication date: April 12th 2021
Genres: Adult, Historical Romance
As a Lady of Virtue, Matilda Brooks swears to reform the most despicable man of her acquaintance, her brother-in-law, Sullivan Chase, Viscount Glenbrook. Well he may not be the most despicable, but he is certainly arrogant, flirtatious, and entirely too charming. To make matters worse, he has the irritating tendency to poke fun of her and rile her emotions as no other man does. However, when she confronts him, he laughs off her concern about his slothful ways.
But when a carriage accident forces Sullivan to play knight to Tilly’s damsel, his unexpected act of chivalry ends up costing them both their freedom. Her compromised reputation and his honorable declaration forces them into a marriage neither of them wants. Which is most inconvenient, given that she has sworn to despise him forever.
