Made the Grade: Aspect of Crow Series, Novella 1

Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 124 KB | Release Date: 2006 | Publisher: Harlequin Books

"The Wild’s Call" [Aspect of Crow Series, Novella 1] by Jeri Smith-Ready

My Book Summary : It's past 'the end of the world as we know it,' and for best friends Elysia and Darien that means fighting for their lives. Baltimore [and everywhere else in the world] is in ruins, money is non-existent so bartering is the only way to get by, that or stealing.

However, past "mistakes" have lead them to drift apart for a while ..... Darien finds Elysia and tells her it's time to leave Baltimore and follow their Spirit animals. Yet, Elysia has trouble putting all her eggs into one wishing basket, she refuses to believe anything good could come from what Darien is asking. But once her life goes from worse to terrible, she goes along with him to find out the meaning is with these Spirit animals, and possibly see if they still have feelings for each other ....

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars. Very cute! Good characters. This is a prequel story to the full Aspect of Crow series, and I'm definitely curious as to how the community they build will work out.

Book Teaser :
"It's not safe."
She whipped out the knife out of her back pocket and waved it over her head. The jagged blade was still stained with Leo's blood. "I can take care of myself, remember?"
"If you stay, you're an idiot."
"And if I go with you, I'm a nutbag. I'll wait for a third option." ~ within Chapter 4
