"
Ready or Not" [All-American Girl Series, Book 2] by
Meg Cabot
What was I thinking? : Probably that I liked the first book in this series so the second one would be good too .. right?
My Book Summary : Samantha (Sam) deals with the issue of sex. Should she and her boyfriend take the next step in their relationship? However, being known as the girl who saved the president and having a boyfriend who just happens to be the president's son makes the situation even tougher, with all eyes watching them.
My Book Review : 1.5 out of 5 stars. Meg Cabot has a way of writing books that I usually like ... but in this instance the narrative ramblings and worries of Sam make reading the book a very slow process. I mean I did enjoy the highlights throughout the book but I only enjoyed them since I skimmed through to find them once I got sick of reading over and over about her worries. =0P I will say I did like the relationship between Sam and David still, since he understands that she always sticks up for what she believes in ... yet their whole communication issues about the topic of sex got blown way out of proportion. =0/

Book Teaser : "And Lucy?"
"Mmm?" she said.
"You do realize," I added awkwardly, "that the same guy who played the Count of Monte Cristo played Jesus in that movie Mel Gibson directed."
It was finally Lucy's turn to look shocked. "He did not!"
"Um, yeah, he did. So, in a way, all those times in the bathtub, you've been---"
"DON'T SAY IT!" Lucy said. And then ran for her room. ~ within Chapter 8
