My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars, after her college dorm floods out Natalie moves into a new dorm that she’ll be sharing with three other guys. Not long in to living there she finds she’ll be sharing a whole lot more with them too.

This was another reread that I did because of losing my original rating and review for it (find out the whole story on my blog) but it was also in conjunction with Smutathon (a readathon hosted over on youtube through gingerreadslainey & Riley Marie’s channels). My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! Hanna recently got added to as a last-minute spot on the US women’s figure skating team for something like the Olympics, and it seems everyone really doesn’t want her there. After dealing with the “curse” of being a werewolf and leading his “pack” of friends over the past ten years, Finn (Finnegan/Oscar Finnegan Dean the Third) finds out that he is unexpectedly a father and that the mother of his child is dead all in one surprising blow. Therefore, in the process of “picking up his life,” he interviews (within his company) for the perfect caretaker for his newborn son and finds it in Jessa. Not only is she the perfect woman to care for his son … she may just mean something more to him all together. And if only everyone will stop threatening him and those he cares about, than he might just be able to figure out how to keep Jessa in his life permanently.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! This is a reread for me because this novel I had read in November of 2019 and before I had posted my official review/rating, I had lost it (find out the whole story on my blog). Therefore, this novel was chosen as a reread because I did remember enjoying it before, didn’t remember all of the plotline – which made it, so I got to enjoy it more, and I was in the mood for a paranormal polyamorous romance to read.

MY Second Sentence Saturday :

"Second Chance Amish Bride" [The Brides of Lost Creek Series, Book 1] by Marta Perry - [Amazon Book Link]

My best friend to me was more like a brother ...

A story that warms the heart and can still be ... funny ... about friendship ... about love and first loves ... about family ... and more. "My Most Excellent Year: A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins, & Fenway Park" by Steven Kluger is a really great book. I usually love books that are written completely out of letters / IMs / Emails / notes .... etc. and this one is no exception.

It's a book about three friends who are in 11th Grade writing an essay about their most excellent year as their college essays, and the year they talk about is their freshman year of high school where all their lives get turned upside down. Anthony/TC/Tick is a jock who gets along with everyone. Augie is an extrovert to the extreme and would do anything for Tick his "brother". Alejandra/Alé is independent and opinionated but finds out what true friendship can be like. I think everyone would enjoy this story, here is a small excerpt to show you just how great it is:

Even though I should have listened to Augie when he told me that Alejandra needed special handling, I didn't. Instead on the first day of school I stuck a note into her social studies book.

DEAR ALLIE: I'M CONSIDERING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. AND BY THE WAY, FORGET THAT MRS. FITZPATRICK CALLS ME ANTHONY. YOU CAN CALL ME T.C. - T.C.

Intense and dramatic, this intriguing novel keeps its readers gripped in suspense until the very end! While I loved Dallas, Lily, and their developing relationship I had a hard time following the secondary plot, probably because this was the first novel in this series that I’d read. However, even with the confusion and at times feeling like the secondary plot dragged a bit, I absolutely could NOT get enough of Dallas and Lily! Together they made a dynamic duo who fit each other perfectly. I’d love to read more about them as this series continues.

I recommend this novel to those looking for a highly suspenseful, slightly erotic, paranormal dragon romance!!

"The Doctor's Undoing" [Doctors in Training Series, Book 3] by Gina Wilkins

My Book Summary : Haley and Ron are friends, medical students in their 3rd year of training, and they are on the same rotation while their other friends from the study group their in are somewhere else. Ron has grown up not knowing if he would be able to amount to much, and because of that anytime something tough happens to him he walks away from it before it gets too hard. Which is also what he applies to every aspect of his life from what he does for a job, how he makes it through medical school, and in his personal life with the woman he dates. Haley is what Ron calls a "cheerleader", as soon as he or anyone around them starts complaining about giving up she is right their to cheer them up and on to the next course of their schooling. Because of their different, point-of-views they have had their share of fights/arguments during their study sessions. However, since the beginning of their 3rd year, they have been on better terms then they usually are.

With all their friends in different rotations, except for each other, they become closer in working together and studying with each other. So much so that they both try fighting their attraction at first because they don't want to ruin their friendship. But after that first kiss, Ron is committed to Haley wanting to see where this will take them. Now he just needs to convince Haley that just because his motto usually is to ‘walk away when things get tough’ doesn't mean he plans to ever walk away from her.

My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. This is my first doctor book and as short as the book was I really liked how smoothly it guided it's scenes to fit in more detail then I originally expected. Lets just say I was pleasantly surprised. =0)

Maybe he was right, maybe one ill-tempered resident and one uncaring attending wouldn't cause much trouble for Ron. But that didn't mean he should just give up and say there was nothing he could do about it.

What was I thinking? : Probably that I liked the first book in this series so the second one would be good too .. right?

My Book Summary : Samantha (Sam) deals with the issue of sex. Should she and her boyfriend take the next step in their relationship? However, being known as the girl who saved the president and having a boyfriend who just happens to be the president's son makes the situation even tougher, with all eyes watching them.

My Book Review : 1.5 out of 5 stars. Meg Cabot has a way of writing books that I usually like ... but in this instance the narrative ramblings and worries of Sam make reading the book a very slow process. I mean I did enjoy the highlights throughout the book but I only enjoyed them since I skimmed through to find them once I got sick of reading over and over about her worries. =0P I will say I did like the relationship between Sam and David still, since he understands that she always sticks up for what she believes in ... yet their whole communication issues about the topic of sex got blown way out of proportion. =0/
