"Hanna And The Hot Hockey Gods" by Dizzy Hooper
Author's Book Description : Three bad boy hockey players. One figure skater in need of some stress relief. Let the games begin…
As a last minute addition to the figure skating team, I knew I was in for some hazing, but this is ridiculous. I walk in on my roommate doing the deed on my bed.
With nowhere to go, I end up wandering the halls, only to run into three super hot members of the men's ice hockey team. There's the team captain, Zeke, who gives me the chills. Sensitive Aaron. And filthy-mouthed, uber-competitive Brent.
These bad boy forwards have a reputation—and a goal. They want a girl to celebrate their win with.
Who am I to say no?
It's just a night of no-strings fun. They bring my body to heights I never knew were possible, and I'm pretty sure I rock their world.
Turns out, hockey players are a superstitious bunch. If they win again, they want me back.
Before I know it, we're celebrating together after every game. I'm not sure if it's the stress relief or the new confidence they've given me, but I'm skating better than I ever have before. We all have gold in our sights.
But the games are coming to a close. There's no future for an underdog figure skater and three hot hockey gods out there in the real world.
Or is there…?
"Hanna And The Hot Hockey Gods" is a complete, STANDALONE reverse harem romance, featuring dirty talking alpha males and a guaranteed HEA. No cheating, no cliffhangers!

My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! Hanna recently got added to as a last-minute spot on the US women’s figure skating team for something like the Olympics, and it seems everyone really doesn’t want her there. Yet after an unusual exchange with her roommate Hanna meets three hockey players that just might change her life, or at least this week-long event, for good ... if only she’s willing to make the best of it all ...
If you are looking for HOT ultra-smutty (sometimes gangbang style) read that also has a LOT OF HEART too, then this is the novel is the perfect pick for you!

"Twelfth Knight’s Bride" by E. Elizabeth Watson
Author's Book Description : Lady Aileana Grant just wants to help her starving clan at Christmastide. So she pilfers some vegetables from the bastard Laird James MacDonald--the Devil, they call him. When the Devil shows up and demands marriage as recompense for the thievery, Aileana can’t believe it when her brother agrees. Even if she’s able to negotiate a severance on Twelfth Night, that’s still two weeks to put up with the laird in enemy territory. She’s counting down the days, even if James isn’t quite the disgusting cretin she’d imagined.
James needs to marry an enemy bride in order to inherit his fortune. Cursed restrictions. He’d been unable to look away from Aileana’s untamed beauty ever since she squared off with him. He might as well handfast with the infernal lass. He’d get his money and perhaps some peace among the clans. He has a fortnight to win the heart of the lady with the voice of an angel despite her sharp tongue.
Twelfth Night is merry and bright as Aileana and James realize a true connection between them. But when Aileana discovers the reason the Devil forced her into marriage, how can she ever believe he truly wants her?

Author's Book Description : What happens in a carriage doesn’t always stay in a carriage...
Lord Harry Marlow reluctantly attends a Christmas house party hosted by his brother and his sister-in-law, who also happens to be the woman he once longed to wed himself. Winter Themed Books To Warm You Up During the 2011 Holiday Season
Well ... since there is only 15 days left until it's Christmas Day, I've decided that I would list the books that have Winter/Holiday themes (or the books that have Winter/Holidays in some form within it), which I've read in 2011 for you. This way you can think about reading them or buying them for yourself (or someone else) as the Holiday Season is now upon us!
The books below are listed in the order of which I read them this year. [Also, the ones that have no review are ones that I read either during my pregnancy or my maternity leave when I didn't feel like reviewing anything at that time but I promise you those are the star ratings that I gave them!] Enjoy ....

- "Noble Blood" [The Gray Court Series, Book 2] by Dana Marie Bell: 4 out of 5 stars!! [Read more about this book HERE]

- "The Mane Squeeze" [Pride Series, Book 4] by Shelly Laurenston: 4 out of 5 stars!! [Read more about this book HERE]
- "Pitcher Perfect" by Devina Douglas: 3.5 out of 5 stars .... I loved this book but why it didn't get 5 stars was because I think Allie was too undecided about her relationship with Alex after the fallout between them happened. Otherwise it was a great book ... from the baseball antics to the minor character's story lines! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Goals for a Sinner" by Lynn Shurr: THE BOOK ITSELF I'M GIVING IT - 3.5 out of 5 stars, BUT OVERALL FOR THE KINDLE EDITION - 2 out of 5 stars. The story was well written, thoughtful, and a true love story!!! I would recommend it for anyone wanting to read it in book form, BUT NOT KINDLE FORM!! In the kindle form I had to make-up sentences at the top of every page so at times it was a little hard to follow which wasn't fun at all. =0( [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "The Stillburrow Crush" by Linda Kage: 3 out of 5 stars! [Read more about this book HERE]
- "Flat-Out Love" by Jessica Park: 4 out of 5 stars!! This was a novel about what a family does for those they love, and a girl who falls right into the middle of their lives who helps them in a way she never expects. What would you do to cope/survive something that looks hopeless to survive? What would you do to pull the ones you love back to what they once were? This is all from Julie’s POV so you don’t know what’s happening until she finds out, but in some ways it easy to guess at, just the reasoning behind what happened to the family is a little shocking. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Wanting Something More" [Stepp Sisters Trilogy, Book 3] by Kathy Love: 4 out of 5 stars!! This is a fun and sweet novel by a fellow Maineiac (someone born in/from Maine)! Marty and Nate are such a great couple!! I'm sooo happy that Nate had gotten attacked since before he sounded like a royal jerk!! =0P But anyways ....
This is a story about two different people who are in the process of finding themselves again, and fall-in-love along the way. I really liked this new twist that the author takes with her main characters ... very creative. I couldn't stop reading till I got to the end!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE] - "Wolf Signs" [Granite Lake Wolves, Book 1] by Vivian Arend: 3 out of 5 stars. A great beginning for this fun and spicy series!! Keil is the definition of possessive alpha male in this story. While I loved reading about Keil & Robyn worked through their "communication issues," turning this story into one I've never read about before. I recommend this book and series for anyone who likes to read a werewolf (slightly erotic) romance. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Kelsey's Song" [The Wilder Books, Book 1] by Lanie Kincaid: 4.5 out of 5 stars! I've seen "Kelsey's Song" on my Amazon.com 'recommendations list' for a while now, and I am very happy I finally decided to read it!! This is a wonderful story about two people, JD & Kelsey, who are dealing with circumstances in their lives that they never planned and when they aren't sure how things could get any better they meet and teach each other just how to make their lives better for themselves!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Wish Upon A Star" by Sarah Morgan: For the full book I give it 2.75 out of 5 stars.
"Christy" [Previously published as "The Christmas Marriage Rescue"]: 3 out of 5 stars. This was a cute and steamy story of a pair of stubborn and prideful people who are learning how to possibly save their marriage.
"Miranda" [Previously published as "The Midwife's Christmas Miracle"]: 2.5 out of 5 stars. This was a sweet story of a fiercely independent woman and a very determined man who need each other more then either first realizes. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE] - "Maybe My Baby" [Baby Times Three Series, Book 2] by Victoria Pade: 3 out of 5 stars ... this is a cute story about a guy and a girl, each hurt from their past relationships by similar situations, who try to do their jobs but when they are in such proximity to each other 24/7 for a week straight anything can happen ... and it does!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "The Naughty List" by Jodi Redford: 4 out of 5 stars, this story is HOT, Sexy, and Sweet just in time for this holiday season to keep us warm!! The sex scenes in this story are wonderfully written in a way I've never read before and it will definitely rev up your blood pressure!! To top that off I really enjoyed the relationship between Bram, Lacey, & Ry ... it was very sweet and because they've known each other for so long, I enjoyed reading the comrade feel that they all shared for each other. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Only Us: A Fool’s Gold Holiday" [Fools Gold Series, E-novella 2] by Susan Mallery: 2.5 out of 5 stars. Ever since Cameron was mentioned in Only Yours I was curious if he was going to have a story of his own, and this book is it! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "Small Town Christmas" by Jill Shalvis, Hope Ramsay, & Katie Lane: For the full book I give it 3.83 out of 5 stars. All of the stories are really sweet.
"Kissing Santa Claus" [A Lucky Harbor Novella] by Jill Shalvis: 3 out of 5 stars. It's a sweet story of love, Christmas wishes, and a Santa suit.
"I'll Be Home for Christmas" by Hope Ramsay: 4 out of 5 stars!! This story has the holiday spirit shining though it from beginning to end!
"O Little Town of Bramble" [A Deep in the Heart of Texas Novella] by Katie Lane: 4.5 out of 5 stars, two best friends finding out what they really mean to each other after being years apart!! I couldn't get enough of Ethan and Sam, they were just sooo sweet!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE] - "North of Need" [Hearts of the Anemoi Series, Book 1] by Laura Kaye: 3.5 out of 5 stars! After just reading a few chapters of North of Need it reminded me of the movie Jack Frost, even though this book has a different story line, I think it was the whole snowman-coming-to-life thing that made me think it. Anyway ...
This is a wonderful book!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE] - "A Vampire for Christmas" by Laurie London, Michele Hauf, Caridad Piñeiro, & Alexis Morgan: For the full book I give it 2.88 out of 5 stars.
"Enchanted By Blood" [Sweetblood Series, Novella 2] by Laurie London: 3 out of 5 stars, it's a charming story about two people who are undeniably drawn together but because of old laws should ultimately stay apart. I liked the way the story flowed and was intrigued by the characters.
"Monsters Don't Do Christmas" [A Part of the Beautiful Creatures World] by Michele Hauf: 2.5 out of 5 stars ... it was a cute story with sweet characters but it didn't intrigue me as much as it could have. Which is really to bad since I was really hoping to like this one more then I did.
"When Herald Angels Sing" by Caridad Piñeiro: 2.5 out of 5 stars. This story definitely takes a different spin on the Christmas Carol story, by doing so I find this story very clever.
"All I Want For Christmas" by Alexis Morgan: 3.5 out of 5 stars!!! This was a fun and entertaining story, centered around the mystery of what is going on within Eagan's case, Della's motley crew of friends/diners, and the steamy relationship that evolves between Della & Eagan!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE] - "My Captor, My Love" by Leah Matheny: 4 out of 5 stars, this story is a wonderful and unique take as a contemporary romance, that deals with Native American's kidnapping women for their village based in the twenty-first century. I really liked how the plot is mostly from Dani's perspective and then at the point when you really might hate Honon you get his point-of-view, pretty much redeeming himself in my book. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "One Perfect Night" by Rachael Johns: 4 out of 5 stars, this novel is thoughtful, sweet, spicy, and poignant!! I loved how the story was written--by not dragging out scenes, filling in the character background when needed, and everything wrapping up nicely! Plus, the characters were great!! Peppa is a sweetheart. Cameron has his own demons but deep down he takes care of everyone he knows. [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]
- "The Demon Lover" [Fairwick Chronicles, Book 1] by Juliet Dark (aka Carol Goodman): 3.5 out of 5 stars! Even though this novel has some spicy romance to it, it is mostly a dark mystery revolving around the town of Fairwick, its occupants, Callie's past and what her new roles are within the town. At the beginning of this novel it started out a little slow for me, so I wasn't sure if I would really appreciate it or not. However, not long after the beginning all of the twists and additional storylines come into play leaving you as curious as to what will happen next!! [Read more of Jess' Review for this book HERE]

Disappointmentville: The Ex Games by Jennifer Echols
Format: Kindle Edition | File Size: 486 KB | Release Date: September 2009 | Publisher: Simon Pulse
"The Ex Games" by Jennifer Echols
My Book Summary : Four years ago, Hayden and her family moved from Tennessee to Colorado. During that time, she was in seventh grade, just recovered from a broken leg, and was swept up in being Nick's girl -- who was the hottest & richest boy at her new school -- even though they've only been on a few dates. But while on a date at the local movie theatre she found out that the only reason Nick was dating her was because of a bet with his friends, and once she found out instead of crying she bitched him out in front of everyone at the theatre (including a lot of kids from their grade).
Now they’re exes and over the years they have gotten into a habit of flirting, Nick playing tricks on her, and arguing/fighting with each other. However, during the day before their high school’s winter break they both find themselves in the hallway talking to each other and sitting mighty close together. Something’s in the air but Hayden isn’t quite sure what. She has wanted to be with Nick again ever since they had their fight four years ago but things always got in the way. Plus, it doesn’t help that she’s not sure she can trust him. Also, even though they both happen to be single right now, ever since they broke up, Nick’s longest relationship lasts only about two to three dates, and Hayden doesn’t want to just end up like all of his other girls.
During winter break Hayden wins a snowboarding competition, afterwards she celebrates with her friends, their boyfriends, and Nick. While they are all talking about her competition Nick says that she only won because she was against girls, but if she went up against a boy of her age bracket she would loose. This, of course, starts an argument between the girls and the guys, and ending with Nick and Hayden going against each other that following Saturday (Valentine’s Day) in a comp to see who’s the better boarder.
While the pressure for who will win the comp builds and it seems that the whole town is taking a side, Hayden and Nick go back and forth on getting together again or just arguing with each other and staying sort-of friends. On top of that, Nick is having family issues and Hayden is trying to conquer her fear of heights ... will they be able to fight the odds and realize what is happening between them? Or will they not make up and keep playing the game they’ve been playing since they broke up in seventh grade?
My Book Review : 2 out of 5 stars, because I liked the concept but Nick and Hayden bickered way to much for me to enjoy it. It was like the first time someone said something wrong the other person would chop off the other's head by any means necessary. However, I did like the relationship between Hayden and her younger brother ... their back-and-forth was very entertaining. =0)

However, I did like the relationship between Hayden and her younger brother ... their back-and-forth was very entertaining. =0)
My Previous Review(s) for this Author : Forget You
Book Teaser(s) :
Hayden, she's a red-haired lass
Doing nose-grabs by the score
Gonna kick some Krieger ass
Maybe she needs one day more
Wants to snowboard off the jump
Not today, she's filled with sorrow
Scared she'll lose her steeze and biff
Gonna kick some ass tomorrow. ~ within the Chapter titled 'lemon grab'
"Dish, Hayden," exclaimed a gossip-seeking girl who skied directly into my path. "It would be soooo cute if you and Nick got together after he sealed your backpack inside that plaster of Paris volcano last year."
Liz giggled and elbowed me. "I'd forgotten all about that one!"
"But my friends say no way," the girl went on. "Nick hates you. Which is it?"
I shrugged. "I guess you'll have to ask Nick." And if she found out, I hoped she'd pass that info along to me. ~ within the Chapter titled 'jib'

So I’ll drive so fucking far away that I never cross your mind. And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind.
Pages: 328 | Release Date: October 2008
"Angel's Pain" [Wings in the Night Series, Book 15] by Maggie Shayne -- Briar has never been able to trust men, all because since she was 11 yrs old any man that got close to her has used her and/or abused her. So, she's made a point not to care for anyone and she has a long hit-list of those who've hurt her that she plans on making them pay. However, ever since she joined Reaper and his misfit gang of vampires who are also hunting her old mentor, Gregor, know matter how hard she tries to deny it she's opening up more to those around her. Especially now that she's trying to save Crisa (the vampire she has a blood bond with) who seems to have people talking to her in her mind and they now seem to possibly be controlling her. Just will she be able to save Crisa in time, also before Gregor happens to hunt her down instead ....
3 out of 5 stars. Good book -- however, since it was the last book in the series (so far) and this is the first book from the series that I've read it did become a little confusing but I was able to keep up with it for the most part. Definitely action packed!!

They say that things just cannot grow beneath the winter snow
"Snowbound" by Janice Kay Johnson was such a disappointment. I picked it up from Amazon.com since they had it free if you had an iPod or a Kindle and it was on the top of the list for supposedly being so good. But ehhh. =0P
It's about a teacher who is driving back (in a snowstorm) from an out-of-town event with a group of her students (8 teens). They decided to take the quickest route back ... not knowing that that highway closes in the winter. Thankfully the route they took has a lodge on it. The owner of this lodge is a gentleman who just got discharged from the military, and is dealing with his own set of problems. During the teacher (and her group's) 3 night stay at the lodge waiting for the storm to let-up, the teacher and the owner build a connection ..... and they see if they can make it work afterwords.
I mean the setting was good and so was the plot/point of the story. But if I wanted to read about war scenes then I would have picked up a nonfiction or history type of book, not a romance. And even though the story was a short one, for how she dragged it out making so everyone was so indecisive .... I was just happy to see it end.
2 out of 5 stars.
