Every Thanksgiving--since 2011--I put out my Books I'm Thankful For (so far) Book List and in conjunction with this year's book list I asked some of my fellow youtubers if they'd like to join me in this collab video to include what novel(s)/novella(s) they are thankful for reading in 2020. Watch to get some fun book recommendations!
We Are Thankful For Books 2020 Video Collab | From Jess to You Services by From Me to You ... Video, Photography, & Book Reviews
During a Black History Month Assembly at my children's elementary school we got to hear Lexi P. - CEO of Curlanista™ - talk about her success. She was very inspiring and my daughter enjoyed listening to her speak. Check out the video that I put together of Lexi's speech ...

Today is a spooky day ...
One where things like to come out and play ...
Things just like my two dogs Surka (my doberman) and Paige (my pug) ... as I dressed them up as a devil and a clown this year. I hope everyone will enjoy eating or handing out their candy today!!
Are you good at creating gingerbread houses?? Truthfully I don't remember if I am or not since it has been sucha long time since I have created one ... but if you are into that type of thing and your in or around Elizabeth City, NC then don't forget to sign up for the Gingerbread House contest!! To get more info about it click here or call Page After Page Bookstore at 252-335-7243. Definitely if you're interested then call TODAY since their announcing the winners tomorrow at the Holiday on the Harbor event.
The picture to the right is some of the houses that have been submitted already. I think? And below is this HUGE Gingerbread House I saw inside the Arts of the Albemarle!!! Check it out:
If you live in Elizabeth City then you might have seen the light flurries we had today! Which is unusual for this area, as for the past 3 years I have lived here we usually only get snow on one day a year (which is usually some time in January). So, I thought that was great!! =0) Especially from being from Maine ... I do miss the snow around the holidays so I'm glad to have the cold weather back down here.
Also ... I have now redecorated my blog with a holiday theme ... so if you are subscribed to my feed and haven't checked it out in a while then please do.
Anyway ... if you are looking for some holiday outdoor portraits (unless you have an indoor location you want to be taking at) please let me know as I am willing to take some for you. If you live in Elizabeth City (or about a 15/20 minute drive away from EC) the photo shoot fee will be waived, but if you live in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia or in Northeast North Carolina and are interested in a photo shoot then prices are negotiable.
If you have any questions please let me know how I can help you by leaving a comment.
I hope everyone will have a wonderful Easter holiday today! In addition, I also hope that those who decided to buy a pet for their children for Easter will plan on taking care of them properly and love them to pieces. The reason I say that is because my best friend works at the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook, Maine so I see photos of all of the poor animals that get given up there, so I wish that if you loved them when you bought them you plan on loving them for a very long time afterward. =0)
