"
The Stone Prince"
(as of 2020 this novel has been retitled too: "Prince of Stone") [Imperia Series, Book 1] by
Gena Showalter
My Book Summary : A brotherly feud gets out of hand ... turning one brother into a statue. Such things happen when they both have the powers of sorcerers. However, by the following day Percen finds that his vengeance against his brother, Jorlan, has to be delayed since Jorlan, now a statue, is no where to be found. Later he finds that their mother has sent Jorlan away from Percen's vengeance and also in hopes he'll find the one true person to complete him and cure him from the spell. Therefore, Percen sets out to find Jorlan and if he has broken from the curse when he does so, then he'll kill him.
But as only a day has passed on Imperia about a thousand years or so have passed on Earth, where Jorlan now happens to be waiting for that one woman to be the cure to his curse. Finally, that day arrives and his savior is Katie, a woman who is more likely to do the guy thing instead of the girl thing in any situation. However, to save Jorlan, Katie must do more then just kiss him, she must profess her love for him and mean it. Which scares the shit out of her! So, she tries to keep him at arms length as much as possible ... but how long can she truly keep that distance going? And will she be able to save him before Percen arrives to get his final revenge?
My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. I had such hopes for this book. *sigh* I mean it was good .... but around chapter 19 or so I was getting sick of Katie, who kept running away from her feelings just because she never believed what he said. I just wanted to smack her. But this book did make me laugh ... cry ... smile .... and it had a great ending!

Book Teaser : "As you won't be getting pummeled in this house, I feel no responsibility to respond to that statement."
He crossed his arms and gave her an amused look. "Your denials grow tiresome."
His self-assured pitch irked her, so she placed her hands on her hips and glared at him. "Did you ever consider the fact that I could have a boyfriend? Someone I'm in love with and committed to?" ~ within Chapter 4
