My 2018 Best Book Couples :
- Abby (Abigail/Ab) & Liam [from "Rock Strong" [Rock Candy Series, Book 1] by Virna DePaul]: Though they seem to be opposites, they have many similarities that draws them together too. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Then with Liam’s punk cowboy-ness and Abby’s classy staunchness, I found them to be an odd match made in heaven.
- Charlie (Charlene) & Dave (David) [from "Christmas at Seashell Cottage" [Jewell Cove Series, Book 1.5] by Donna Alward]: ... the intensity that Charlie shares with Dave that sold me on this novel. It made their possible relationship believe and made me root for them.
- Lily & Anonymous Pen Pal [from "P.S. I Like You" by Kasie West]: I was completely riveted! It doesn’t hurt that I am a total “seemingly opposites attract” troupe lover so yeah. For me they were a perfect pair. ♥
- Dorie (Lucinda) & Nate (Nathan) [from "Calling It" [Calling It Series, Book 1] by Jen Doyle]: They have a light hilarity between them that carries through this novel and draws its readers into their relationship even more. Yet, it was their intense connection that moved me and had me rooting for them from the beginning.
- Molly & CJ (Cornelius) [from "Stand-In Rancher Daddy" [Lone Star Cowboy League: The Founding Years Series, Book 1] by Renee Ryan]: I believe Molly and CJ were made for one another. They were a perfect pair that smoothed out each other’s rough edges. A sweet couple for sure.
- Reese, Wade, Wyatt, Trevor, Zane, & Dimitri [from "Marked for Them" [Witches of Rose Lake Series, Book 1] by Lia Davis]: ... should enrapture you with its quick flowing plotline and captivating characters. All the characters captured my attention ... I had come root for this big group and their growing relationships. ♥
- Gen (Genny/Genevieve) & Chance [from "Chance of a Lifetime" [Anderson Brothers Series, Book 3] by Marissa Clarke]: Chance’s intensity and domineering presence made him a force to be reckoned with yet I LOVED how he LOVED Gen!! Their relationship was brilliantly written ... Especially how they seemed to just fit one another and how he took her issues in complete stride.
- Willa & John [from "Amish Christmas Twins" [Christmas Twins Series, Book 1] & [A Amish Bachelor Series Novel] by Patricia Davids]: Their understanding of each other’s heartache helped bring them out of their shells. Then with a little meddling from fate and John’s mother, Willa and John get into a sweet relationship that hooked me from the very beginning. They are just SOO sweet together!
- Marabelle (Tinker Bell) & Nick (Nicholas) [from "Sweet Southern Trouble" [Harmony Homecomings Series, Book 4] by Michele Summers]: It is the way Marabelle and Nick fell for one another, their playful banter, and their charm that I liked the best. As they both charmed me. They truly make a great couple! One I am thrilled I got to read about! ♥
- Nell (Helen) & Hunter (Gabe/Gabriel) [from "Lord Hunter's Cinderella Heiress" [Wild Lords and Innocent Ladies Series, Book 1] by Lara Temple]: They were both spunky and I LOVED how they both unintentionally became each other’s “safe harbor” against the world. Their relationship and their engaging banter made this historical novel seem fresh and lively from the start.
- Mary & Redgrave (Darius) [from "The Earl's Return" [Marriage Mart Mayhem Series, Book 7] by Callie Hutton]: They are one of those couples who seem to work from the get go, then add in their intense attraction to each other and you have a compelling read I didn't want to put down.
- Chase (Chastity) & Caden [from "Undeniable" [Always Series, Book 3] by Cherie M. Hudson]: Together they make a great couple that I rooted for from the start. Their story is one that is unique but meaningful enough that it’ll definitely stick with me. ♥
- Liberty & Marcus [from "His Forever Family" [Billionaires and Babies Series] by Sarah M. Anderson]: Marcus just seems so genuine and you can tell Liberty means well while she cares for Marcus too, which made it easy to root for them together and root for them becoming a family. If they were truly real people, they would definitely be ones I’d like to get to know.
- Emily, Baas, Abe, Sam, & Zack [from "Hot For Xmas" by Trinity Blacio]: Add in Emily’s growing relationship with Baas, Abe, Sam, and Zack, the reader gets thrown into a world of mystery and intrigue while discovering the passion these four men have for their new mate. I found their suspenseful paranormal romance surprisingly clever...
- Joy & Cole [from "A Hummingbird Christmas" [Glacier Creek Series, Prequel / A Glacier Creek Novel] by Karen Foley]: Joy and Cole are great characters! I loved learning about their backgrounds, while "seeing" how they connected and "watching" their relationship bloom. ♥
- Willow, Devin & Case [from "Bite Harder" by Jenika Snow]: I found the relationship that Willow, Devin, and Case was really sweet yet intense in the way that they protected one another. I was really charmed because of their intensity as it helped me want to root for them no matter what got thrown their way.
- Maddy (Madelyn) & Nathan (Nate) [from "His Wicked Wish" [Cinderella Sister Hood Series, Book 5] by Olivia Drake]: Nathan and Maddy were a unique couple, in that though they were virtual strangers, their revenge made them their most trusted allies and that in itself made their rapid relationship to be very believable. I liked their comrade and respect for one another, especially with how that grew into a loving relationship.
- Julia & Niccolo (Nico/Mano) [from "Royally Roma" [The Royals Series, Book 1] by Teri Wilson]: It was the banter between Niccolo and Julia that reeled me in, especially how it seemed that Julia could get to the heart of any situation which made her be able to handle and understand Niccolo better than most people. Together they seemed to light up each page... ♥
- Rowena & Quinn [from "A Scottish Lord for Christmas" [Sins and Scandals Series, Book 3] by Lauren Smith]: I loved the electric romance that happens between Quinn and Rowena ... I do believe they might just have been made for each other.
- Sophie & Bastiano [from "Sicilian's Baby of Shame" [Billionaires & One-Night Heirs Series, Book 3] by Carol Marinelli]: Sophie and Bastiano understood one another in a way that gave them no issues with listening to each other’s thoughts/beliefs and their backgrounds kindly. In addition, because of how matched they are, it made it easy to root for them as a couple. They just truly completed one another, all for the better.
- Mary & Rhage [from "Lover Eternal" [Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, Book 2] by J. R. Ward]: What can I say about Rhage and Mary that hasn’t already been said throughout the book world? They are a dynamic, exhilarating, adorable pair!! Their connection draws in the readers for more. They are just sooo good! ♥
- Luna, Finn, Flint, & Forest [from "The Three Bad Wolves" [Fairytale Shifters Series, Book 5] by Alexa Riley]: I loved the dynamic between the brothers and how they use their setup in wooing Luna. I really enjoyed their big relationship and the double epilogues were fun too.
- Mara & Cade [from "A Shift in the Water" [Elemental Shifter Series, Book 1] by Patricia D. Eddy]: I thoroughly enjoyed how Cade and Mara came together and stuck through some death-defying things, all in the name of love.
- Jess (Jessica) & Jack [from "Beyond the Stars" by Stacy Wise]: I fell in love with Jack right alongside Jess. They were/are sooo wonderful together! I truly loved the ending and the way their plotline was laid out! *happy sigh* ♥
- Clara & Isaiah [from "A Ready-Made Amish Family" [Amish Hearts Series, Book 5] by Jo Ann Brown]: I found them to be very well matched. Also, I enjoyed that even though their attraction was off the charts they didn’t rush into anything, making it so when they finally fell for each other even sweeter.
- Mara & Josh [from "Surfacing" [Swans Landing Series, Book 1] by Shana Norris]: They were made for one another. While they are both so similar, it was how they seemed to help each other become who they were meant to be that I liked the most.
- Lucia (Luz) & Dane [from "Blocked" [Blocked Series, Book 1] by Jennifer Lane]: Their political banter. Lucia’s sweet blushes. How Lucia seems to be able to calm those around her. Dane’s snarky ways. Dane’s surprising sweet-side. That is just a few things I loved about this couple, but if I had to, I could definitely go on. The intensity that is between Lucia and Dane is off the charts hot. ♥
- Snow (Angie) & Koda [from "Finding Snow" [Fairytale Shifters Series, Book 4] by Alexa Riley]: Together Snow and Koda make a cute and "believable" pair since they were perfectly matched for each other!!
- Millie (Millicent) & Kieran [from "Lone Tiger And Cub" by Lizzie Lynn Lee]: I was intrigued with how Kieran and Millie’s relationship was mostly a sweet friendship based on trust and a growing bond for a majority of this novel until the very end when everything steams up! In addition, I liked how they came together as a family in an unusual “mate” type of fashion.
- Megan & Craig [from "A New Leash on Love" [Rescue Me Series, Book 1] by Debbie Burns]: They were true to themselves throughout this novel as it helped prove to me that they are quite matched for each other. ♥
- Bree & Ry (Riley) [from "Race of Love" [The Remingtons Universe Series] by Melissa McClone]: All I can think of saying about them is saying, “Awwwwwwww!!!” They're just so sweet together and their banter was fun to read too.
- Jenna & Alex [from "When In Texas" [Blame it on Texas Series] by Lynda Simmons]: Like Jenna I am half in love with Alex already. And their instant intense chemistry is one that I hooked me from their first meeting in front of that “Taco stand.”
- Becca (Rebekah) & Jack [from "Hearts on Fire" [St. Caroline Series, Book 2] by Julia Gabriel]: Together they made a great pair and seemed to be the perfect counterparts to one another. I loved Becca's vulnerable "tough girl routine" and seeing underneath Jack's all-American good boy persona. Simply a wonderfully sweet couple that you need to root for! ♥
- Corrine & Austin (Bates) [from "The Doctor's Baby Secret" by Scarlet Wilson]: Corrine isn’t the type to fall for anyone yet Austin (Bates) barrels past all of her personal barriers with ease. While both are scared about what a relationship would mean for both of them, I enjoyed how they handled it ...
- Ruby & Dominic [from "Riding Red" [Fairytale Shifters Series, Book 1] by Alexa Riley]: I loved Ruby and Dominic!! They were both sassy and spunky. I thoroughly enjoyed them together.
- Anna & Simon [from "A Vicarage Christmas" [The Holley Sisters of Thornthwaite Series, Book 1] by Kate Hewitt]: Together they were a pair that immediately understood each other’s issues, even when the reasons behind them weren’t discussed, in a way that just worked. It was as if they found their best friend they didn’t know they were looking for while trying to process the intense attraction that they felt for one another.
