It is Thanksgiving Day (the USA version of it at least)
today! The tradition on my blog is to post a list of ALL the
books I've read thus far this year that I've given my highest ratings to (5 out of 5 stars) today, which means I'm VERY Thankful for finding/reading them!
HOWEVER -- and it is a BIG HOWEVER -- this year has been hard for everyone. Myself included when it comes to promoting the books I have been reviewing. As if you look at my 2017 & 2018 Thankful Book Lists you'll see within my top write-up (like this one) that I say something along the lines of "because of life I have reviews but have yet to fully post them yet." This year is a LITTLE different because though ... that is still true ... my reviews ARE backlogged ... I had a
catastrophe in March 2020 where I LOST ALL OF MY PREVIOUS REVIEWS. Yeah.
If you want to hear ALL about it click here. BUT for 2020 specifically I was trying gather some "reading stats" for you, so out of those 19 books I know that 5 that I have no reviews for need to be on this list because I had rated them

Everyone is searching for their own happily-ever-after whether they believe so or not .... "Casting Spells" by Barbara Bretton ... characters are just doing the same. However, Chloe is a half-human half-sorcerer who hasn't fallen into her powers at all ... but has a town who is in need of her guidance. As the town has been protected for over 300 years from outsiders prying eyes is finally falling into their own cracks and everyone is hoping she will make it all better. But when an outsider dies in their town .... a cop moves in to find out if it was an accident or a murder??? Will Chloe be able to get him out town without anything being noticeable?? Or will he find out more then he's supposed to?
This weekend I tried reading "The Fixer Upper" by Mary Kay Andrews. I mean the product description of it sounded so cute. It's about a girl named Dempsey, who is a lobbyist from Washington DC, and suddenly is thrown into a huge scandal and is pretty much thrown under the bus. So, her dad tells her about a family home that is in desperate need of repair that he just inherited, which he would like her to fix up since she has no prospects and he's not going to give her any money without working for it. So, she moves into this house and starts fixing it up ... finding a unique distant cousin along the way, a town where everyone knows your business, and some gentlemen who would like to get involved with Dempsey. However, she still cannot get to far away from the mess in DC.
Well, yesterday I finished reading Hush, Hush, by Becca Fitzpatrick. It's the first novel in her first and latest series about immortal beings and fallen angels. I really liked the main characters Patch and Nora. Patch is of course a bad boy with a good heart [even though he doesn't want to admit to it] and Nora is a good girl who tries to do the right thing always.
