"
The Iron Daughter" [The Iron Fey Series, Book 2] by
Julie Kagawa
My Book Summary : Meghan is at it again ... now after traveling from her home to the Winter Court (in
"Winter's Passage") with Prince Ash, he seems to be no where in site leaving her to fend for herself amongst a court where everyone hates her (it seems). Including Ash himself, as she finds out while she is fending off an attack from his older brother, Rowan, Ash states that he wants nothing to do with her. With despair around her heart, she awaits for the exchange of the Scepter of the Seasons from the Seelie Court to the Unseelie Court. Once the exchange comes she finds herself in a whole lot of trouble, with the Iron fey sneaking into the Winter Court to steal in Scepter right from under their noses. However, since she was there when the thievery took place Queen Mab believes she had something to do with it and plans to go to war with the Summer Court because of it.
After this announcement from Queen Mab, Ash seems to do a 180° and tries to help Meghan escape from the Winter Court, which consequently makes him a traitor to his people. So, now they're both on the run in search of the Scepter of Seasons to get it back from the Iron fey and to return it to Queen Mab.
However, whom will help them? Will they get it in time before the war starts and the Iron fey can do more harm to Nevernever? Will Ash's feelings for Meghan return?
My Book Review : 4 out of 5 stars! ♥ Okay ... it had a slow start but I really enjoyed it in the end. All-in-all Ash threw me for a loop with everything he did in this book. And with all the new things happening to Meghan I cannot wait to see what will happen in book 3!!! Poor Puck -- that guy seems to always get the short end of the stick. =0( BTW -- I love Ethan he's soo sweet!

Book Teaser(s) : "We can't worry about that now." I shook off his hand. "The scepter is more important. Besides, that's what I have you for." I smiled at him, and turned to Ironhorse. "All right, Ironhorse. We have a deal. Take us to the scepter."
"Finally." Grimalkin stood and stretched, bottlebrush tail curling over his back. "You make decisions as slowly as you answer Summonings, human. I do hope this will not become a habit."
"Wait. You're coming, too? Why?"
"I am bored." Grimalkin waved his tail languidly. "And you are always entertaining...except when I am waiting for you to arrive, of course. Besides, the lieutenant and I have business, as well." ~ within Chapter 10
