I have recently found another eloquently spoken video to bring you all. Though this video is again about diversity on BookTube I feel you should hear Seji, from The Artisan Geek, out as she takes on the topic after hearing about Michelle Obama's upcoming YouTube interview with some well known "BookTubers." I was unaware of the interview until Seji posted this video and I do agree that the ones who set this interview up could have done better. Tis life in the slow lane ...
Well this past Friday I found out that my position is moving from Full-Time to Part-Time. Which I am still upset about and sometimes I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack with all the stress that I feel in my chest. So, I've been going to the library lately (since I need to conserve my money till I get either a better job or some part-time jobs) to keep my mind off the negative things. In the past few days I've already finished reading "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen, "Honey, Baby, Sweetheart" by Deb Caletti, and "How to Be Popular" by Meg Cabot. All of those books were cute ... but nothing great to report about them. I am getting "Tempted" (from the House of Night series) by PC and Kristin Cast tomorrow since I pre-ordered it (YAY!!!) ... but other then that I need to start picking them up from the library. Any other books you might be able to recommend for me??
But anyways ... I'm now job hunting ... for anything that will make up for the money I'm loosing out on. *shakes head* Hopefully things will work out for the better! =0)

Book Report - The Van Alen Legacy [Blue Bloods]
Okay .... yesterday I finished the latest book in the Blue Bloods series called the Van Alen Legacy!! This one develops more of the plot (Duh .. of course .. *hehee*) mostly around Bliss's "Visitor" / Jack & Schuyler's romance / Mimi's responsibilities ... etc. Of course with plot twists galore!! I really don't know how to explain it any more without giving more of this book away ... but I will say that if you haven't picked up this series yet then I would start!
However, I will say this ... I think this is the best book out of the whole series thus far!! =0)
It is another type of Vampire flick ... with a mythical twist ... find out more from the author Melissa de la Cruz's website or from BlueBloodsBooks.com.

Jess & Kids play with a Electronic Flying Bird Drone Toy | From My Kids to You Product Reaction #productreview
For Christmas 2020 my daughter received a Flying RC Bird Drone Toy from one of her grandparents. Below are two videos of us playing with it when we were outside in January of 2021. As you can tell from both videos -- the sweet reaction video and the video where girly tried to attack me with her toy -- we enjoyed ourselves with it ... at least until it flew off into our neighbors yard never to be seen again a few months later. 😆 🤣

From Book to the Movies: Beastly
I read the book "Beastly" by Alex Flinn, last summer -- before I started writing reviews on my blog -- and at that time I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. Today I just found out that there is a new movie, based on the novel, coming in March 2011!! It looks good and I can't wait to check it out for myself!

Elizabeth City Wharf with a Mistress
For those who aren't familiar with Elizabeth City. Then I'll start by saying that in the downtown district is a Mariners Wharf, basically a park to the rest of the town, but to boaters it is a nice place to stay free for 48 hours on there way to their next adventure. And around this time in October every year we start seeing the docks slips becoming full of boaters heading south for the winter. It is really a sight to witness, as you can see in the photo below.
Two days ago boaters Skip & Kathleen pulled into the Elizabeth City slips on their 1930's Schooner called the Mistress. It is a gorgeous boat inside and out, I had to take some pictures of it.
Here is a shot of the inside of the boat:
On Wednesday, October 23rd Skip & Kathleen dressed up their boat with it's flags. To their request they asked if they could borrow an Elizabeth City flag to put onto their boat, which I was able to get for them.

If I could have just one wish, I’d wish that you were mine...
A new way of looking at the world awaits you in "Cry Wolf" (part of the Alpha and Omega series) by Patricia Briggs. This book is the beginning of a new series of Patricia's, also it starts at the very end of a short story of hers called "Alpha and Omega" which is in the book "On The Prowl". I haven't read the short story but you might want to before you read this book, since even though you don't need too to be able to get an understanding of what happened, but of course, it will give you more info if you do. *shrug* Anyways ....The story starts right after Charles and Anna have met and bonded halfway. Meaning that their wolves (or wolf forms) have chosen each other as their mates but now their human selves need to complete the process by doing the same. But it's not as easy as it sounds, especially when Anna was forced into becoming a wolf 3 yrs prior and is used to getting abused by her previous pack, making it so she definitely does not trust easily. Add to that a witch who sets up camp in the woods within the packs territory, killing locals who come to close to her, and things get harder for Charles and Anna who are sent in to take-care-of this intruder.
4 out of 5 stars. I wasn't sure at first how I would like this world and it's characters but as soon as I started reading the book I couldn't put it down. Great setting ... I liked how you can every point of view so the story is that much more believable!!

If I’m asking you to hold me tight - then it’s gonna be all right
Witty & Hilarious .. "Playing James" by Sarah Mason is everything I could hope for and more!! Holly is a up-and-coming reporter, who just got her big break! James is a cop, who takes his line of work very seriously .... hates reporters ... and is about to get married in 6 weeks time .... and just got assigned Holly to play his shadow up until the day he says "I do." Tempers start flying ... situations get misread ... and when Holly's column becomes a big hit the readers start questioning if there's more between the reporter and the detective then they both are letting on??5 out of 5 stars!! LOVED IT!! It's up beat! Fast paced! With plenty of twists thrown in just to make you second guess how you think the story will end! =0)
