Tis life in the slow lane ...
Well this past Friday I found out that my position is moving from Full-Time to Part-Time. Which I am still upset about and sometimes I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack with all the stress that I feel in my chest. So, I've been going to the library lately (since I need to conserve my money till I get either a better job or some part-time jobs) to keep my mind off the negative things. In the past few days I've already finished reading "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen, "Honey, Baby, Sweetheart" by Deb Caletti, and "How to Be Popular" by Meg Cabot. All of those books were cute ... but nothing great to report about them. I am getting "Tempted" (from the House of Night series) by PC and Kristin Cast tomorrow since I pre-ordered it (YAY!!!) ... but other then that I need to start picking them up from the library. Any other books you might be able to recommend for me??
But anyways ... I'm now job hunting ... for anything that will make up for the money I'm loosing out on. *shakes head* Hopefully things will work out for the better! =0)

Let's give 'em somethin' to talk about babe, A little mystery to figure out.
How can an actuary and a constant risk taker ever make it work? Well you can find out if you read: "Speed Dating" by Nancy Warren! It's about Kendall, a winner of the Actuary of the Year award, is in Charlotte, NC to accept this award and an hour before the event her fiancé informs her that he's leaving her for his pregnant mistress, who is also their work colleague. Startled, pissed, and desperately needing to find out where her dress for the event is, Kendall finds herself locked out of her hotel room in nothing but silk lingerie. When her bosses start walking down the hall she goes into another hotel room that has it's door open so she wont be seen, and ends up in Dylan's room. Dylan is a Nascar driver, who is waiting for is hired actress date to show up so he can attend his ex-wife's wedding. He assumes Kendall is that women and because of what has just happened to her in the past hour or so she agrees to go with him. ........ After the wedding he finds out she's not really an actress and they attend her acceptance part of her awards ceremony. Kendall makes a speech that leaves her co-workers feeling she might be a bigger risk then they're willing to take, telling her she should take some time off. ...... Which is how Kendall finds herself as Dylan's good luck charm for his races during the next 3 months .... but when things start becoming more for her will he hang on or crash and burn?It was definitely a cute read! 3 out of 5 stars! I would have given it 4 but the ending just left it hanging. =0P Which is why I am a big fan of epilogues, so everything can wrap up in the end. But this one didn't have that. =0(

My Book Summary : Gabriel has been fighting his personal darkness and those of his race who've turned into vampires for centuries. But as luck would have it he stumbles upon his lifemate, Francesca, once he awakens from being secluded in the earth after a long time. However, at first she wants to help him, but once she realizes who he is, she would like him out of her life as soon as possible.
Gabriel will have none of that though. Will he earn Francesca's affections? In addition, will he be able to protect her from the vampires whom are closing in on them at a rapid rate?
My Book Review : 3 out of 5 stars. Sweet book, however I would not considerate a favorite in this series for me. =0P

April 2010 - Book Sale!!
I am in love with book sales, especially this one at my local library!! It's being held at the Pasquotank County Library in Elizabeth City, NC. My Book Summary : A little over a year ago Jenna had a fling with her boss, Nick, while she was working on one of his cruise ships. However, when he found out that she was his employee instead of a guest, like he originally thought, he broke up their relationship and fired her. Since then Jenna's life has change and now she's back on one of Nick's cruise ships again, as a guest, on a mission to inform him that he is the father of her twin boys!! Over the year apart she has tried to contact him to let him know but he never returned/responded to any of her emails or phone calls, so a face-to-face is the way it's gotta be.
Yet, now that she is here she's as nervous as hell, but as soon as she confronts Nick she thinks that it'll all be over and okay ... he'll believe her, will be fine to just pay child support, and then they both can get back to their lives. However, it doesn't seem to work that way. For one, Nick doesn't believe her at all so they need to take a DNA test to be sure, which is fine since she expected as much but now she has to wait a couple of days before the results come in and Nick doesn't want her out of his sight. Then to top it off he already admits to himself (before the results come) that if they are his sons then he is going to want more then just to pay child support, he'll want time with them too and if he thinks Jenna won't allow that then he'll take them away from her.
While the waiting is on for the results both Jenna and Nick realizes things about each other that they didn't know last year, and get closer together. Could this mean a happily-ever-after for them or will they each feel like being together is a big mistake so they'll just do what's right for the kids?
My Book Review : 4.5 out of 5 stars! =0) In truth I am surprised I enjoy this book as much as I did, and for a quick read, it was a great book!! The connection between Nick and Jenna is great to read, and seeing how they grow as characters in such a short time is fun too. This is one romance novel I who recommend to everyone! Especially right now that it's FREE through Amazon.com!
