"Ready or Not" [All-American Girl Series, Book 2] by Meg Cabot
What was I thinking? : Probably that I liked the first book in this series so the second one would be good too .. right?
My Book Summary : Samantha (Sam) deals with the issue of sex. Should she and her boyfriend take the next step in their relationship? However, being known as the girl who saved the president and having a boyfriend who just happens to be the president's son makes the situation even tougher, with all eyes watching them.
My Book Review : 1.5 out of 5 stars. Meg Cabot has a way of writing books that I usually like ... but in this instance the narrative ramblings and worries of Sam make reading the book a very slow process. I mean I did enjoy the highlights throughout the book but I only enjoyed them since I skimmed through to find them once I got sick of reading over and over about her worries. =0P I will say I did like the relationship between Sam and David still, since he understands that she always sticks up for what she believes in ... yet their whole communication issues about the topic of sex got blown way out of proportion. =0/
"And Lucy?"
"Mmm?" she said.
"You do realize," I added awkwardly, "that the same guy who played the Count of Monte Cristo played Jesus in that movie Mel Gibson directed."
It was finally Lucy's turn to look shocked. "He did not!"
"Um, yeah, he did. So, in a way, all those times in the bathtub, you've been---"
"DON'T SAY IT!" Lucy said. And then ran for her room.~ within Chapter 8

My Book Summary : Luce has known things have been following her ever since she was a little kid, but talking about it to others has just forced her to take medication and see doctors. However, now it has landed her into Sword & Cross boarding school, after an incident happened leaving the person with her dead. While at this new school that is completely worn down she meets Daniel, she is drawn to him instantly but he keeps pushing her away as much as possible. Will things change for them? Or will her past and the things around her come back to haunt her?
My Book Review : 2 out of 5 stars. For how long the book is, it sometimes seems to repeat itself and never move on. In addition, for all the hype about the book, it wasn't worth the money, so I would pick it up at a library if your interested in seeing it. Sorry -- I just wasn't impressed. Yet .. I will say the ending did leave me a bit intrigued.

"evermore" [Immortals Series, Book 1] by Alyson Noël -- Ever has recently lost her parents, younger sister, and dog to a terrible car accident which she survived. Yet now she has the ability to hear the thoughts of those around her, except those of Damen the cute new boy in school, who seems to have some interesting abilities of his own, among them he's able to create tulips out of thin air. But as Damen gets closer to Ever someone from Damen's past would like nothing better then to rip them apart for good.
3 out of 5 stars. I read this because it was a Amazon.com recommendation for the other books I was reading at the time. And I liked it ... even though I think it could have been better.
"blue moon" [Immortals Series, Book 2] by Alyson Noël -- Ever is now learning everything she can in becoming an immortal like Damen. However, as her powers start getting stronger, his own powers are weakening and he starts distancing himself from her. Now the only way she can save him is by going to Summerland and seeing if there is anything to help him. But once she gets there will she choose to still be help save Damen or will she try to rewrite her past and try saving her family instead?
2.5 out of 5 stars. It was an okay sequel ... but I really hated the ending!!
"shadowland" [Immortals Series, Book 3] by Alyson Noël -- This description is taken from Alyson's website since I couldn't even finish the book: Ever and Damen have traveled through countless past lives—and fought off the world's darkest enemies—so they could be together forever. But just as their long-awaited destiny is finally within reach, a powerful curse falls upon Damen...one that could destroy everything. Now a single touch of their hands or a soft brush of their lips could mean sudden death—plunging Damen into a bleak afterlife in the Shadowland, an eternal abyss for lost souls. Desperate to break the curse and save Damen, Ever immerses herself in magick—and gets help from an unexpected source...Jude Knight.
Although she and Jude have only just met, he feels startlingly familiar. Despite her fierce loyalty to Damen, Ever is drawn to Jude, a green-eyed golden boy with magical talents and a mysterious past. She's always believed Damen to be her soul mate and one true love—and she still believes it to be true. But as Damen pulls away to save them from the darkness inhabiting his soul, Ever's connection with Jude grows stronger—and tests her love for Damen like never before...
1 out of 5 stars. OK I'll admit it ... I tried to read this book but I just couldn't get past the first two chapters. =0P So I gave up ... especially after I've read other reviews saying stuff like Amazon.com's A. Jackson who said, "Again, like at the end of the second book, I felt this book went nowhere. Ever and Damen's relationship has not progressed one bit since the end of the first book." So ... as I said I gave up, it just couldn't keep my interest and if they aren't going to move forward in the plot then I think it's a waste of a book.
I think I might be finished with this series unless the next book is drastically better. *shrug* Have you read this series? If so, what did you think of it?

Okay .... as you can see I am more into reading lately then showing my photos or creating videos .... so I thought why not lets sign up for a reading challenge! *hahaa* This is my second year of all out being addicted to reading (which my hubby is still not to happy about as it sometimes takes away our time together, Opps!), and I'm curious as to see how many I'll end up with by the end of 2010.
I got the challenge from J. Kaye’s Book Blog, to sign up and read more about the challenge please click here. Here are the rules of the challenge:

Okay so ... I'm starting to write this down a little late ... but here is my list that I'm filling in as I go:
