BookTubeAThon 2018 - It's A Wrap! | @trinityblacio @LornaJWrites @authornordin @LPDover @jk_rowling @BookTubeAThon #BookTubeAThon


This was my FIRST ATTEMPT at the BookTubeAThon ... yet my FOURTH read-a-thon in total ... and though I didn't complete many reading challenges I feel very accomplished with the amount of books that I read. Even though I did start early and most were novella or less than 200 pages in length, but *shhhhhh* don't tell anyone. *hahaa*

Author's Book Description : Lucy Ballard’s life sucked. First her father was killed in a boating accident, then some nut job she thought would be her husband, took something from her that left a hole in her heart the size of a watermelon. She was convinced that no man would want her now –she wasn’t whole. The one thing she had dreamed of all her life–to have a big family–was now physically impossible.

Duke and Nolan Masters were brothers, even though Duke was now the alpha of their pack. They shared everything else, including women. So it was no surprise that their mate would be one and the same, but they never imagined it would to be their new stepsister, Lucy Ballard. Not to mention the fact that she can’t’ have children, and the reaction of the pack to this would bring serious trouble.

Could the three of them come together? Would the pack accept her as their new alpha bitch even though she was damaged? Duke and Nolan were about to make sure of it, because otherwise there would be only one choice–to step down as alpha and move away from everything they knew.

My Book Review : 2 out of 5 stars. Lucy's life wasn't easy yet she thought she had it well and truly planned out. That is until her mother arrives with a new husband, which is a werewolf, and learns that her new stepbrothers are her mates. Everything in her life gets turned upside down, but as long as her dream life still comes true .... that's all that matters .... right?

I think I had too high of hopes for this novel, since even though it had all of Ms. Blacio's usual novel selling points this novel didn't hook me as I'd have liked it too. Everything was just okay. Then I found there were quite a few storylines that were never completed so you’re left hanging a bit.

I only recommend this novel to those who are fans of Ms. Blacio and hope you'll enjoy it more than I did.

Now, at 50 and in his prime as a werewolf, he and four other pack leaders need to find a mate. But not one female in their group or the bordering ones carries the special scent. Baas had never considered anyone that wasn’t were as a possible mate. Alphas were known for their aggressive behavior and their strong sexual needs were too much for one human female, at least that’s what he’d always believed. Then a week before Xmas, everything changed when she walked into their lives.

One careless, and if he had anything to say about it, soon-to-be-dead wolf had beaten and starved his mate and cubs. It fell to Baas and his brothers to take care of anyone who got out of hand within their pack. However, when Emily Garland, a local social worker, showed up, he’s unprepared for her smart aleck mouth. Now all he can think about is how to convince her that she was made for him and his pack leaders… and how they were going to protect her from a psychotic stalker.

My Book Review : 3.5 out of 5 stars! For most of Emily's life, she has been on the run trying to escape her past and the cult that was after her. Yet, by chance, she learns that she is the National Alphas' mate, so she now has four men wanting to protect her at all costs. Although when her past, and the cult, finally catch up to her will she be able to put an end to all of her misery and move on with her men or will fate have something more in-store for her instead?

This novel wasn’t what I was expecting, as it surprised me more than once, yet I enjoyed unique situations that this novel throws at Emily. In addition, Emily is a strong presence and character all by herself as she seemingly takes on everything that comes her way while protecting those around her. Add in her growing relationship with Baas, Abe, Sam, and Zack, the reader gets thrown into a world of mystery and intrigue while discovering the passion these four men have for their new mate. I found this suspenseful paranormal romance surprisingly clever in how it is portrayed and very well written.

I recommend it to those who are fans of Ms. Blacio and/or looking for an intriguing paranormal ménage romance.
